- Lets go agate hunting w/ Michigan Rocks (Rob) and 99 Rockhounding (Thomas)!! Michigan Rocks, 99 Rockhounding and myself went agate hunting for Lake Superior agates and other Minnesota rocks in a beautiful river and we found some amazing and MUST SEE agates! Not only were these agates big, they were absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait for you to join us on this adventure!

I have been following Rob for a while now. Glad to hop on your adventure bus! And have also subscribed to 99 Rockhounding! Really great stuff! I’ve been rockhounding for several years now and just decided to start a channel 5 months ago. ( I’m also a van camper ) So, I’m a van camping rock hunter! 😂💯🙌🏼

That river is just loaded with agates. Is it the same one where you found your one pounder?
My only one pounder was found in Lake Superior on a beach along the North Shore, so no lol I need to weigh that big moss though, I bet it’s at least 10oz

Rob was definitely the student in this situation.
He definitely is “The Professor”, I’ve looked to him for a lot of guidance and he’s been great with his help!

I explore many rivers throughout Minnesota, it is much harder than other locations but yields great finds!

I love it and so wishing I had a group like this. I just got back from Michigan rockhounding,. Went up the west side of Michigan making stops along Lake Michigan and down the east side, stopping at a couple of places along Lake Superior. Just getting into rock hounding, not an expert by any means. I found some Petosky, pudding stones and hoping that I may have found at least one agate. Tumbling now. I need help identifying some of them, so checking out sites. Shout out to Michigan Rocks “Rob”. I do follow him, and will start following you and 99Rockhounding.

If you spend time in the wilderness like that and don't know what poison ivy is you probably aren't allergic. I'm not for sure, but I think it is something like 30% of people aren't affected by it.
I’m always on the look out and I really don’t think I’ve encountered it. But who knows!

Just now: picking a MN road. As I bent to check one out, I spotted a big beauty another foot ahead. The experience instantly caused me to imitate an Agate Dad reaction. A bit of "Oh ho ho...;" a whaaat?; an "Oh my God! That is beautiful." Needs some work, but it wasn't bad. :)

May be late viewing this, but awesome you are rocking with Rob! He lives on the other side of the state of Michigan from me! Learned a lot from his videos. I live in the Petoskey area (Petoskey stone heaven!). If You need to find Petoskeys, I know some awesome places. Alpena has an abundance also………..thanks Rob!
Thanks for the intro to Thomas 99 Rockhounding! Followed his channel. He and I are definitely kindred spirits! I love the 2 for 1 of Trouting and Hounding! I assume you guys were in Carlton County. Some of my best agates ever found while trout fishing in that area. Love looking at exposed gravel/ rock bars and the stream bank thing. AD, only 4 months behind. Making great progress in catching up to current state!
Omgosh a treasure trove of 3 of my favorite rock hounds. When you come back to Arizona you should team up with “Elley knows rocks” sweet young lady that is more than just a rock hound. Can’t wait to finish this video. Yes 🙌🏻 I’m late at viewing this.
