Your doing the right thing bro I have been breaking the Tyrant 15 in for over a week now going to be putting another 6 hours of break in time today before the XS power show in the morning anybody who says break in isn't needed is only saying that because they have never seen a ZV6 smoked in the first 30 minutes of play time from not being broke in properly before sending it break in definitely makes a difference break in time varies by sub the Tyrant has been breaking in for over a week and it's still stiff the surround is loosened up but you can barely push it down the spider is still stiff as hell
@@Zachecker yeah bro I'm on a budget I can't afford to be sending it straight out of the box 1300$ for a single sub it's getting broke in properly every time EVERY TIME!! I also wanted to ask you how you are recording your flex videos I tried to record some yesterday but every time I turn my video recorder on the phone it's shuts the music off I guess I need to get a second phone just for videos
Breaking a subwoofer actually isn't needed but if it does anything it only helps! Doing this can loosen it up or kinda just "get it going" and can make the "fs" rating on the subwoofer lower allowing a sub to play lower and play louder / better. Good video bro. What upgrades have you done? Have you upgraded your alternator?
I have a 99Dd and I have had it for almost a month because it is super stiff it is just now loosening up?My subwoofer cost 1900 bucks?I have patience 😂😂😂😂
The more you heat up a subwoofer. The quicker you're going to fry the coil it's called clipping. Your teaching people the wrong way to do things and terminology you obviously have no idea what you're talking about and should probably delete this video honestly
Clipping is a whole different thing. I have a clip meter on my amp. In that video I never clipped that sub. My coil never fried up because i was properly doing it. I appreciate your concern though. Have a happy new year.
@@jayrands5380 damn you got me there buddy I think i need to call the fire department for that one. 🥵 If you have done any research on my channel you would know I run American bass elites but hey all good man some people aren't that bright.😬
@@lostkauz83 why would I use RUclips to play music, RUclips doesn’t have an eq like Spotify and I use frequently tests all the time and I don’t want to look it up on RUclips every time I want to play it. 3 bucks isn’t going to kill me lol 😂
@@Zachecker tell me why you need an EQ for a specific frequency sweep when you’re not supposed to have any setings tweeked to begin with during a break in 🤨
@@lostkauz83 I got bass knob for that and it’s bad if it clips idk what you mean but for me personally I found better luck with the app. And there is a free version of the app
Well unfortunately proper break-in of a low frequency audio transducer takes a bit more equipment and time, both of which are not present in this video.

I always break in subs bc the spider need to loosen up at first and I have xs battery big 3 and stock alt
@@Zachecker that’s good as well! And do you know what size your stock is, running a 3k will be too much for a alt that’s not at least over 220 amps
