GREAT video bro! FINALLY we get to see a Cat in action in rough seas to see what it can do! And like you said the 40ft cat will allow you to fish on days that most boats would just say no way! :)
I’m genuinely curious what, if any, difference the Seakeepers made on the catamaran. The design, stability and obvious hull difference makes me believe the effects are minimal at best.
We fish 8'+ swell every day and night here on east side of big island Hawaii in 25' cats and deep V's like Raddon and Force marine. That's a beautiful cat!!
@zackriden79 Yes, yes we do. It’s stupid rough 90% of the year here and even on decent days out at the points where currents and swells meet it’s triple average height at much shorter duration. A mile off shore is over a mile deep.
Yes, we have one on our pontoon and they get super loud, but at idle they are very quiet but the second you let that throttle down it’s like a lions roar
That was a good presentation thanks, a well equipped Worldcat as usual, the engines sounded as if the boat is under powered, quad 300s Mercury V8s will have a better performance. With my experience with Seacats and Worldcats, there is no need for Seakeepers, they are stable boats while drifting...
Those engines were really loud or the sound was not proportioned. You guys didn't show the difference with the seakeepers on and off at rest. I've always been a fan of World Cat.
I must compliment you Alan and your team for the great video even under those gnarly conditions. Where the two Seakeepers both on at some point? Thanks again for the excellent video.
Depending on what else you have onboard your boat, there may not be space for one larger Seakeeper unit, even if some equipment is moved around. This doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t able to have Seakeeper stabilization. You may have room for two smaller units that will work together to provide the stabilizing power needed to stop the boat’s roll.
This captain ran the boat far too conservative coming back in. The seas looked more manageable but I can do 40 in my 34 foot v hull in those seas on your return trip that was very unimpressive to see 34 mph on a 40ft Cat boat wasn’t pounding he could have stretched the legs a little for the camera at least and then slowed down for comfort the rest of the trip! I wanted to see it perform!
The two seakeepers would work together to counter balance the movements. We only ended up needing one while we were out there which was really impressive.
I think the answer you looking for is there is no space in the center of the hill to mount it below the floor so they have to go in the sponsons so you need 2 of them as one of them off center would not work correct!
And I spelled hull but my fingers hit the i instead of the U on my small phone screen. I do t need the grammar correction and I also do not have an edit option on the format of RUclips I use.
With the number of options on the market, Freeman, Invincible, Hammer Yachts.... I think world cat will struggle to compete with this offering. No such thing as perfection but this seems to be a hard sell. Those Yamaha’s sound rough. Thanks for the review nevertheless 👍
Great video in horrible weather conditions. I would have been interested in seeing the difference with the seakeepers on and off. I'm not sure if there would have been that much of a difference but I would love to be proven wrong.
+1 a comparison would have been nice. At a standstill I think they would do something useful, but underway I would be surprised if there was much of a difference.
Those motors sounded really loud or they are being overworked. Why doesn’t that boat come with a quad installation or if ur only going to do twins then do the new 600’s from mercury! I love the transom platform though and why would u not just have one big sea keeper instead of having 2 and 2 that are different sized at that?!
They’ re def not being overworked, and twin 600s probably would be overkill and burn more fuel for no real benefit or reason. Seakeepers work well in harmony.
@@yaishmatheen4274 42 Freemans always run quads. A man I know had quad Mercury 400s on his and loves it. Most guys run atleast 350s. Only twins I've seen were on 37s and they were seven marines 527s.
@@Tyler-kw9ce you mean 7marine 627 or 557? Also this is not a freeman, which can run quad 450r’s but is worldcat 400cc x. Most guys actually run quad 300s on freeman 42’s because thats the manufacturer spec. Do ur research lol Edit: Clarity
@@yaishmatheen4274 that wouldn’t be overkill cause I’m sure u can get that boat in a quad engine installation!!! And I bet those 600’s burn right around the same fuel as what those 425’s are!!! And yes I could see two working together in harmony if they were the same size! Now u are making one work harder then the other, cause it would seem like the 3 would have to take up the slack for what the 2 can’t handle!
@@markmorgan5892 no offense but you must be thick in the head to think that 600's burn the same as 425's... also loos closely. do you see any space for quad engines? also the boat is going plenty fast. only if you are a kid with a rich daddy would you try something like this on this boat. if u do want something like this, look at the invincible 40' cat.
real question can you afford this boat CCC ? I'm kinda not understanding the point of showing a vaporware boat that's a million bucks I can't name one person that i remotely know even if I only know their first name that has the resources required for this toy ,,, what's deal here
it's sad mostly all boats are only made for the rich ppl its sad but true could never make my kids dream come true with a small affordable fishing boat we had saved up for a cheap john boat and had it stolen other day broke my kids heart
@@CenterConsolesOnly yes I agree there are cheap affordable boats out there thts used beat up boats and not very safe for a family but im saving up one day ill surprise him again thnks for the reply
I agree, u pay that much for a boat and the gas shocks have already broke off the anchor locker hatch and the hatch he opened to the left of the anchor locker hatch! If those two are broke I’m sure the hatch to the right of the anchor locker hatch is broken as well, if those two were broke. This is why I would buy a freeman or an invincible!!

Most likely neither can this guy. Most likely bought it thru his company
Running them is just as bad as buying them:(
I see Mike M from WC.... Worked with that dude for a couple years on the 40DC project. Great guy and great boat builder. Hope our paths cross again...

That rigging station is pretty sweet over the back seat.

That's because they don't do much for Cats
Great Vid!
Chesapeake?? Nice looking. Love their coats.
Thank you so much for this video !
Cool stuff. Looks like a decent boat

Why the hell didn't they finish off the inside door under the helm area port seating!!!
Those 425's sound like a harbor freight generator
mann the 425 is loud.
800 Amp Lithium or 800 AmpH Lithium ?
At least the boat didn't get dirty by the fish lol
How would that compare to a freeman?
Does it have a W.C?
What do the sea keeper things do?
Hi Michael! The SeaKeepers are gyro stabilizers that remove 95% of roll on a vessel in most sea conditions.
@@CenterConsolesOnly wow that’s sick keep up the great content!
@@CenterConsolesOnly 95%? Where did u pull that number? And it effects Cats way less than V's
@Center Consoles Only If its 95% that hull must not be very stable
If I could afford that boat I'd want one w/ more horsepower. Either dual 600's or quad 300's w/ the trusted Yamaha 300
Do you need 2 Seakeepers because of the double hauls? Are they synchronized Alan?

Rough riding hull
Not a boater what are seakeepers?
Electronic shift motors really crunk loud when shifting....more so then traditional cable control....or is it just me?
More of a Yamaha trait then relevant to shifter type I think
Sea keepers are crazy expensive and you don't really need them on Cats.
That's what I thought, sea keepers underway just stop rolling, which cats do themselves thanks to physics. Such a weird choice.
