Loved the video ❤ it’s so cool for you to share this tips, detailed steps to help understand the technique to performe a correct the drop knee!
Thanks so much this is great
Awesome Awesome Ben thanks man!!
Yeww no worries Mike!!! Hope you found it useful 🙏
Your the first surfer I've seen do "my" switch stance cut back/round house turn. I figured it out it on a original bongo board in the 80's, makes it all come together so styly!!
Brilliant! Love to see a great drop knee take off and watch the board whip around like it is made of balsa, especially when a surfer paddles into the pocket into a maccing wave.
So much rich content. Will need to watch this several times. Love to see more slow motion video and punctuated voice over commentary of the discrete details, with complete pause edits. For example, why toes, not heel? Thanks Ben, you keep us going back to the beach with a goal!
Wow this was helpful... Currently exactly what i'm working on. My problem is my tendency to do the backside drop knee takeoff on the wrong type of wave.. I do this whenever i'm specifically working on something. Tunnel vision lol
Thanks
Thanks so much for your support Peter!!! I really really appreciate it 🤙🤙🤙

Hello, Ben! This is Luigi, from southern Brazil. Best explanation I've seen about the drop knee turn, thanks very much for that! Now I feel I can start practicing it. But I still have a doubt: does it matter which (right or left) is your front foot for the direction you are turning? In all waves, I think you were going right, with your right foot in front, then you would always turn left using the drop knee turn. Did I see that correctly? Anyway, seems that one could turn either right or left by leaning sideways either to the right or left while keeping always the left foot in the back. Because I am not a goofy footer, the back foot will be the right one. Did I get this?
Sick surfing, u got any advice on people who live next to spots where waves are always to big to train this kind of stuff?
