Continuing to grow into my favorite star citizen news channel. The level of professionalism is incredible and i especially enjoy the fact that you are so far only doing news and deep dives into the game and it's updates and not going into stuff about drama in the community and silly things like that. Keeping it at this level is seriously awesome and the fact that you have researchers that seem to be doing serious work is amazing. Keep it up! I'm telling everyone i know about your channel.
Now this is proper actual news. BoredGamer, Eradicator, SuperMacBrother, attempt to do this but don't put in nearly enough effort and just make half assed videos that are too long and have way too much talking. Thank you for setting a standard for the people out there doing the bare minimum.
@@Super-id7bq I can explain why people start to not like bored gamer from my own experience. I don’t remember what one did this but he was talking about ships in his videos and had stock star citizen footage going. It’s so lazy…. At least put up a picture of the ship you’re talking about lol.
@@Super-id7bqBored and SuperMac are hype kings. They hype everything up and they’ve been doing it for years. They do it for likes and subs instead of letting their content speak for itself. The biggest issue I have with it is they are part of the problem of why people get overly hyped for everything that comes out in this game just to find out it is not even remotely “game changing” or the “biggest patch ever” like those content creators try to paint it as.
Great video. Thank you for getting straight to the point. This style of video is refreshing and easy to find and digest. Keep up the good work. The turret buff on the tali is needed if they're going to soft nerf the torps. Maybe, like you said in the video, give it quad turrets with a minor range boost so that way it is an actual GUNSHIP and not just torpedo ERT farm boat and since enemy npc Hammerheads shoot the torps now lmao.
The retaliator could certainly use a bit of a buff if it's now a "gunship" but I think the 6(!) size 2 shields is a very good feature for the ship. It means that it gets a super tough bubble shield with massive regen and that supplements it's generally great hull HP. I would love to see it get a big gun module or something that gives the pilot a weapon.
its important to remember it lost over 50% of its hull HP On top of that the increase firepower only increased its total by 12% The issue is that the ship is at odds with all of its modules. If you have cargo modules, you have no method to feed your crew for long distance cargo hauling. If you have the torpedo modules, the pilot gets gameplay while using torps, and your 6 crew can't do anything, and if you go in to be a gunship, your modules are completely wasted. Similarly the "habitation" modules allow for longer distance travel by finally giving a ship this size a place to eat. (strange that smaller starter ships have places to eat, but a massive 6 crew gunship doesn't)) The ship is a mess, and most people thought it would get a glow up with the gold pass, where modules, a kitchen/new bathroom and lockers for suits would be added. But they did none of that.
Wow, they fixed the Vehicle entrance marker thing. That's been around for as long as I can remember. "That random ramp you encountered is now 50 million kilometers away." Oh ok, thanks HUD. Great to know where I left that.
These feel like actual news reports on the status of SC. Thank you, some of the metter more infornative content out there. Im just hoping that the MKII bucking in atmo but has been fixed, something to try out.
Was watching Berks streaming last night, he had some people on his stream say they made over 150M by duping and were not blocked, but I agree that it was mostly sellers. When I first started playing I did buy some gold about 1 1/2 months before 3.18 dropped so I could test all the ships. Back then, it was $10 for 150M aUEC, and I check it every so often now. It's a good metric to see how much cash is in the wild. Before 3.23.1a it was going for around $20 for 100M aUEC, now it's almost $100. If you want money, a Vulture and panels are all you need.
I would hazard a guess it was not people who were just farming up tons of money (though I can certainly see a threshold being established), but also sending that money in bulk to many others.
Hey yeah you know it'd really help me out if you'd SMASH that like and subscribe button, you know I really appreciate it, like it really helps me out and it means so much to me, so don't forget to comment below if you liked the video, blahblahblahblah
Fun Fact: Why are torpedo noses flat? Torpedoes are typically a naval item which runs in water. The naval torpedo is an acoustical homing weapon and the flat nose is for the SONAR array. So why do torpedoes in SC have flat noses? They should have pointed noses like all other missiles. I guess the artists just assumed space torpedo should be shaped like a torpedo which runs in the water....Any hoo.
To give a physical argument, like just something plausible b/c we know all of this is arbitrary any way. For the same length, you get more volume with a flat nose, more room for explosives, fuel, guidance systems. Doesn't need to be aerodynamic in vacuum. And anything that you'd target with a torpedo would be too slow in atmosphere any way such that being less aerodynamic wouldn't matter.
These 600+ accounts are being suspended for "months". That's a good warning to those that would do this kind shit; next time might be permanent. Whole fleet... poof!
This patch wiped half the ships I bought in game and most of my fps gear (which was a lot, as I pretty much just do merc stuff). Only been in for a month, so not really worth playing something that's gonna wipe the progress I've made every update, even minor ones.
I kind of treat it as part of the routine, and the process of learning how to come back and set up fast after a wipe. But to be fair it should be based on intentional wipes, not the utter failure at data integrity they have now.
@@UniversityofStanton Yea I was fully expecting a 4.0 wipe, I can handle and plan for announced wipes, but I'm just pretty disappointed right now. I mean.. sure it's p2w.. I guess.. yeah you CAN drop $10k on the game but it doesn't make you fly or fight any better than the guy who paid $45 8 years ago who know all the ins and outs. Hell, I've only been playing for 3 weeks and am earning all ships in game, I have no problem earning ships or money or "winning" in any way. Additionally, sure you're sitting in an $800 ship, but it's big and slow and clunky and you don't have anyone to man your turrets (assumable) it's like sure, you're shields might be a bit strong for a while but I've seen small fighters kill hammerheads. Idk, maybe it's the time from elite killing covets in a viper but I see skill out winning a wallet at least 80% of the time
@@P3rcival97 We already know there will be npc crews, so the argument of being alone in a ship flied out the window long time ago (and the crew costs or skill is a nonissue, we know NPCs have to be affordable and skilled enough to be useful or their existence makes zero logical sense, therefore it's better to put a potential turret gunner in a pilot seat of a whole new NPC crewed ship as a much better force multiplier). And yes- skill is important, but any game that gives any advantage through additional monetary investment is P2W. That is not the point of my comment though. It's clear people just throw a bit of money at the game and they get past the whole "earn the ship properly" curve. Why does anyone care if others do it through a dupe then? Makes absolutely zero sense beyond attributing it to crab mentality or entitlement. So just because someone has less disposable income they should be exposed to challenges that are harder or for longer periods? That is NEVER fair gameplay and subjective perception of the importance of such differences are a weak argument. Let's not forget that the only real in-game progression is gear and ship accumulation which is easier with the more expensive ships.
