seems like the best part of this is that you practice listening to what sounds are like in different genres and learn how to sculpt them. eventually you probably know exactly what to do very quickly
One isn't necessarily worse than the other, they both just suit different contexts. But if you were trying to get a cleaner sound, the second one might require more deliberate sample selection.
I preferred the first too but I thought that it was more bouncy house and the other deeper darker techno. So like he said preference. The loop inspires you where to go.
Depends on what you're going for, but it's all about sounds that align with the style you're trying to achieve. If you're going for a clean, club-ready sound, then pick samples with lots of punch and bass. But if you're going to organic sound, maybe it makes sense to pick a sample with more grit/dirt in it.

Bro I’m doing EVERYTHING wrong! Haha! Thanks for taking the time to make videos to help people
I enjoy this sort of exploration of meta topics in production workflow. 👍
That bit with the Souljah boy comment was kinda savage XD

Amazing video. Thank you guys for these video you guys do 🙂
Thanks so much❤️
Amazing content as always! Thank you! ❤️
Glad you enjoyed!
Went back and listened again....1st loop is still better, had its own character....2nd loop is basic 909 sounding stuff...

have to disagree, the first loop sounded so cheesy and stock to me

The 2nd loop was cleaner, but I like the sound of the first loop. But, that's not the point of the video.
Thanks solid advice.
What is meant by "good sounds"?
You mean "not just the song" you wanna sample but "using a quality recording of that song"?

Question do you think the free sample packs you’re offering would work on my phone in garage band or should I wait a bit lol
If you're producing on your phone, that alone is probably a limiting factor to your music.
Gracias
