A friend I grew up with joined the military at 18 spent 12 years in it he opened a little gun shop this year he took sniping while he was in I've learned more about what I do wrong when shooting and maintaining my rifle in 6 months,I've always thought I was a decent shot when hunting but I was wrong,I had no idea just how much goes into sniping,my rifle is a Remington 700 300 win mag he has fine tuned it and taught me how to shoot properly and a rifle that I could shoot 3" groups with at 300 yards has turned into a rifle that shoots 1" groups at 300 and has me hitting targets at 500 yards our military snipers are no joke they have mastered shooting,I found out I even cleaned my rifle wrong

When I saw J. Johnsons face with the satisfied smile I was flooded with emotion. I an 100% Combat Disabled and all who've served knows what that entails. I wrote this poem a minute ago hope it brings some healing as it did me.
Warrior does not seek conflict but does not shy away all the same. The Warrior does not seek honor or to make for themselves a name. The Warrior cannot sit idle by while injustice stands. It is in their DNA for true Justice they demand. Fair weights and measures and freedom they do love, driven by a call engrained from above. In silent night and fury fight they dream of hearth and home. Replacing memory of pain and fear with precious memories tender and dear. It is in the night the ghosts of the fallen arrive, sweet but raw reminding us why we're alive. "Live the life we cannot and tell our stories so we are not forgot. We entrust our families and country both to you. Keep them safe and in love this is what we pray you do." When the Flag is raised or trumpet sound the Warrior stands his ground saluting smart and standing tall knowing the cost the Warrior prays for peace most of all.

The one cadence that I KNOW 100%, is no longer used is: from Drill Ssgt Siegfried:
“You go to your local church… Where ALL the people pray… You pull out your Ouzi…
And you begin to spray… Left, Right, Left, Right Kill!”
Then, you go to the Grocer, where people shop… K-Bar - Chop… ; Then it only gets worse from there. 😂

You gotta do some Chuck Norris (Invasion USA comes to mind) flicks from the 80's. They played that film for us when we were going through basic back in 1985.
I remember the cadence. We sang some really same some effed up stuff. I remember 'Napalm sticks to babies' to this day. When I got my commission back in 1997 (12 years enlisted first) I was at OBC and I was the only one that knew how to call cadence. I had spent several years in maneuver battalions (mostly with the 1st CAV and 2AD-gotta love Fort Hood) before going into the reserves and then going back to college and getting my BSN in Nursing. So I was a butter bar with a clue. Not much of a clue, but at least I was an E5 before I got out. So the kids, in 1997, really wanted to hear some 'old school' cadence from back in the day. Well, during a PT run I decided to whip out the old 'Roll Me over in the Clover' cadence we sang back in the 80s. Needless to say I had to have a discussion on the appropriateness of certain cadences in 'today's' Army.
I ordered the book. I shoot like a Medic.
