Thanks Ben!!! I've been watching your vids for a number of years now.
I'm glad you have regained your strength and recovered after your heart issues. I myself developed A-Fib in the last year.
Have you heard how a blend of different Magnesiums can correct naturally many heart issues? It worked quite well for me!!
Do you have an email that i could communicate with you more directly? As a raptor afficionato
I have a number of questions I've wanted to ask you for a long time.
And also share with you unusual observations that I have made in the wild of raptors hunting.
For example i dont think the diet and hunting habits of Mississippi Kites is very well understood. Kites in general have a poor reputation especially with classical falconers and were never used much for hunting.
I have observed Mississippi Kites hunting similar to Hobbies when they literally engage in high ariel displays showing great agility and super flying skills where they are able to out fly swifts and swallows!!!
There are also pics of these kites with Swifts in their talons and remains on nests.
So with a different kind of training these birds potentially could provide some very exciting acrobatic dislays. Yes?
Are you aware of this birds unique talents?
I have some things to also share with you about Goshawks and Coopers hawks. I observed them flying High together above the tree canopy soaring in circles like Red Tails. I was concerned the Gos might pray on the Coopers (but it was a large female). They both instinctively knew they were related! I do know male Goshawks sometimes mate with female Coopers. They found each other thru vocalizing!!

What do you do with your birds when the migration starts so they don’t leave?

Some birds have strong migration instincts, but it usually isn’t a problem. We typically fly them in the fall and winter during hunting season. Then in the spring when migration impulses start, that is the same time of year the birds start molting feathers. So if you are keeping your bird and not releasing it back into the wild, you just fatten it up and let it free loft. That way it is fat and happy, and grows in a new set of feathers more quickly than it would in the wild. And by fall, you are ready to start cutting the weight and exercising the bird and getting back up and running in time for hunting season.

🌞. Is the product Blue Kote good to use on birds? And safe for BOPs? 🙏
