Good topic indeed. I like the way you are explaining things
Very educational and the lady knows her stuff Kenya has people with brains not our politicians ...kudos lady Muthoni.
Asking layman questions, very well.
Citi you look superb with "god father"
Thank you for the information 🙏 very helpful muthoni
This was a very good conversation
Good conversation, good topic, but our guests are not answering some important questions properly. But it's fine at least have gotten something 👌
Nice Convo
Investment is main issue most businesses not doing well guarantee reasonable ROI is a big issue
Hey Ndu , the children in US still sell lemonade to today.
Nuff respect the vintage buddie,,,looks Colorado-ish
okanenona
All teachers are poor in this country.... because they earn less than 48000/=😢😢😢
Less than 30k speaking from experience so, i think shes talking about teachers of 20yrs ago.
Assets over liabilities
Is CIC a government institution or a private company
Private
A public listed company.
In that momey market, can one save money for lets say two years after that withdraw everything,ie the principal plus the interest accrued?
Yes, you can.
You can withdraw anytime 😊
Hi Muthoni, i am one of the investers in CIC, i am happy so far, but the monthly withholding tax is eroding all my profits thus making me wonder whether it is worth saving here or sacco.
Saccos dividends also deduct tax.
Withholding is just 15% that's not erosion.
If you want better returns, keep farm animals you double your money in a year, goats, chickens etc.
@@gitgen1887 I agree
Hi, is the withholding tax deducted monthly or annually?
It's 15% withholding tax on interest earned when they're paid out. For example, most MMFs pay interest monthly where it's compounded back to capital. That interest is subject to 15% withholding tax
The amounts that define middle class doesn't make sense. Most pay rent of 50K and above yet their salaries are 80K. They have cars, always in entertainment joints, shop big with no other income source and they still save. Where is the extra cash coming from
Read statistics. What you're mentioning are just anecdotes. The truth is people largely live close to their means
Do muslims invest in MMF? Is it halal?
No is not halala
Sacrificing a meal to buy a plot????? This feels like gas lighting and escaping a critical discussion we need to have as a country around fair income distribution and what policies, structures and most importantly societal cultural interventions to stop undercompensation of people in the lower levels of the economic value chain. This culture of doing with the little you have is unsustainable long term. We should also include limits to income and profits in a finite planet.
So in Kenya there many poor. Majority are earning less than minimum income….😢😢 of 48,000ksh..
