They was a lot of times I thought it was dying. I did everything I could finally it gotten better and bigger. I have now gotten few other plants. I'm glad i found this channel few months ago. Bottom watering has been a gamechanger for my plant babies!!! Bottom watering has encouraged deeper root development and put a real dent in the fungus gnat invasion:) Thanks for the tip!!
I’ve always used paper clips. Large plant, large clip, etc. Bend them open so only one loop of clip goes over plant and the rest will go deep in the flower pot. I love plants and flowers inside and outside. You can root some outside things by pulling a branch to the ground and laying a brick on it. Kinda the same technique.
This is a fantastic video! Solves so many problems that I've been worried about for several years. The video is instructive, informative, clear, and thoughtful.
I have been pinning my plant nodes to the soil for years, but I was using hair Bobby pins that would be rough on the stems even when I bent them open, but I will start using safety pins because it seems less damaging. Thanks for the alternative.👍👍👍
I began saving water from steaming/simmering spring vegetables like spinach or asparagus, letting the water cool, and watering my sad ferns with it. They were sulking due to poor care previous to coming to me, and have responded with massive growth. Thank you for this tip which you shared either here or in another of your many videos!

I came to this video after watching a more recent one of yours, and it's funny to see that you've now debunked the rotating and annual repotting points. I'm starting out and have been developing a sense about my plants. I have a few adjustments I need to do now after watching some of your videos, but I really thank you for all of this information. Even when you later debunk or correct yourself, I love it, because it shows you are learning and growing, and that you are open to different ideas from what you've been previously taught. Great job!
Best Fungus Gnat advice I can share is cut the glue paper into thin strips and put them around the bottom of your container directly on it. If your bottom soil is wet and the top is dry, they just move to the drainage holes in the bottom.
Such clear and concise information, so glad I've come across your channel and me also being a Brit know all too well the struggles with the lack of natural light. Especially in my apartment. Subbed!
