When I did mine the torx bolt heads rounded making it impossible to remove the disc in this manner. I had to cut a quarter of the disc off to gain access to the bolt heads. Ended up cutting the bolt heads off and using sledge hammer to free the bearing hub.. the heating up the hub to remove the remaining bolts. Purchased new bolts to fit the new discs.
wow, my van is import UK where it rains from morning till night every day, the bearing was the one from the factory never changed, i took it down after 15 years, the head of 2 screws are eaten hard by rust so i thought they would break, but I didn't have as much trouble as you.
