@@nchintalapani I picked up an FN Browning A5 light 12, a Peruvian Modelo 1935 Mauser chambered in 30-06, a JC Higgins model 20 12g pump, and an 1830s percussion trade rifle, for $400. All safe queens. Like new. The guys wife was bugging him to get rid of them, to make room in the safe for the gold that they were stacking.
As a pleasantly surprised LCP Max owner (who loves the fact that it can be stowed in the chest pocket of my jacket), I really appreciate the recognition given to Ruger, who actually seemed to listen to their consumers.
I agree with the LCP Max. Once I get enough ammo to put some break-in rounds downrange, I'll be replacing my P3AT. Ruger hit it out of the park with the LCP Max.
Same here. For me, size and weight are tied with reliability as my top priorities for EDC. If it won't fit in my pocket, I know I won't carry every single day. I prefer to wait for the LCP Max prices to fall a little or for my P3AT to break, whichever comes first.
My wife got one. Between us we have ran around 250 rounds through it. First 50 had a few double feeds for some reason using ball ammo. After that it has ran flawless. Have ran a few hollow points also with no problem.
The LCP MAX was precisely what my wife had been asking for since she started carrying her purple LCP. _More capacity and bigger grip!_ She fondly named her standard LCP "Poppy" as we tend to bestow a name upon the firearms we continually carry. Being that we live in Arizona and frequent Prescott, it does not surprise me that Ruger was listening to their customers, especially around J&G Sales. You will be hard pressed to find someone in Prescott that doesn't work for Ruger or at least know someone that works for Ruger. Word of mouth travels far in a small town like Prescott, Arizona. When she heard about the LCP MAX she was ecstatic to say the least. In fact she already has a named picked out for her if she truly likes it. Only recently has she entertained the idea of a red dot on a carry pistol so now she wants to try the MAX-9 too. Although, she questions whether it [MAX-9] would be concealable on her petite frame. Hence her love of .380's for their overall smaller size. Cheers to Ruger for hitting a couple of homeruns! Stay classy my friends.

The Ruger little 9 is one of my favorites because living in the tropics makes concealing a small revolver a trick unless you wear a coat. And nobody's wearing a coat around here in July. Thus, a micro handgun that dishes out .380 is a huge improvement over carrying a .22 rimfire, a 32 or a 25auto. The low price of entry is just a bonus.

#1 is an excellent choice. Over the years I have had female friends and family ask about a handgun for self defense. My first pick for them was a 9mm Kurz (.380 ACP) in a gun that didn't exist; the Ruger LCP Max is that pistol. The five shot 2" revolvers were always considered, but most of them barely hit the target at seven paces; developed an instant flinch from the recoil. I bought the Kel-Tec 3AT when it came out, but flinchitis and controllability was a challenge for them.
I love my 380 Max. Having that kind of capacity casually in my shorts is amazing. The gun ran flawless out of the box with fiocchi ball and hornady crit defense.
My wife got me a Ruger LCP Max for Christmas. I have yet to shoot it, but I just bought two OEM 12-round mags for it. Going to get my CHL on Jan. 15th!
2021 I bought the first desert eagle I have ever seen in real life. Such a great purchase. 2020 and 2021 I’ve made the most amounts of money in my life and it seems to only be getting better. Loving it.
No joke, I actually bought my 3rd LCP Max this morning. Gifted the first two to my brother and sister in law for easier concealed carry. Got a replacement for myself to use during dog walks with shorts/sweat pants and around the house carry. I still pocket carry my Hellcat with regular pants and a belt.
Keltec P50 is my #1 without question. I love mine and im tired of hearing people complain about no stock/brace when I literally had my carbon fiber side folding brace that did not require any permanent modification to add day 1. Theres also a picitiny brace from another company that's a solid choice.
I was very surprised that there was a .380 on this list. I have a .380 Taurus which I inherited. I tried to trade it in on the last 2 new guns that I bought, but had no takers. My girlfriend wanted to buy herself a gun on a budget. I told her that she could have my .380 with 2 holsters and 6 extra mags, and 150 rounds of .380 acp. for free. Her relatives told her to get the biggest gun she could handle and she got a CZ75B. I can’t even give a .380 away…..LOL!
Suggestions, 1) Let her use it at the range 2) keep it as a safe queen, the republic can use another sidearm in a couple years 3) keep it as a safe queen, then trade it for 60 pounds of pasta and 5 pounds of hard red winter wheat in a couple years
Finger was off the trigger and the slide was halfway back, so likely no. In those conditions, if so, it were "immaculate combustion" Just a non-perfect segue effect choice
I was, too. But I think the Max is a better choice. The Alien's innovations, as impressive as they are, are years away from having any relevance for most consumers.
The Walther pdp has been the best striker fired pistol I've owned / purchased in atleast 4 years time. She's seen about 2k rounds with only 1 hiccup which I think ultimately was my fault due to modding a restricted 10rd magazine to a full size 18rd mag which I ended up taking apart again and filing down the inside of the mag and it's been running fine since.
My fiancé is hell bent on getting a Ruger LCP Max. While I’m not a fan of .380 ACP, I’d rather her have more options to carry than to not carry at all. Yes, I’ve been doing plenty of ammo research and I’ve been pushing her to do the same.
Given the size of most women's pants pockets and the low cut designs of most women's pants I can understand why she wants it. Especially if she doesn't want to carry in her purse.
@@alexwalker2582 I understand why she wants it too, which is why I’m saying that I would rather her have it than nothing at all. I’m glad I’m a 6’4 200+ pound guy. I can comfortably carry my Glock 21 with 13 +1 rounds of 230 grain Winchester T-series .45 ACP. I still would feel more comfortable if she’d be willing to at least see how the SIG 365 would fit for her. I am not a 9mm guy, but it’s the lowest I’d comfortably go. I’ve studied the ballistics of many cartridges, and they certainly have their advantages and disadvantages. The “all handgun rounds are virtually the same” argument is hogwash and ignores physics. Too bad they don’t make a modern pistol in 9x18 Makarov, it would give that ever so slight “punch” that I think the .380 ACP needs.
Bought my first Mini in the early 90's when it was *the* economical alternative to AR's on the market. I've since bought three others, the last as recently as 2 years ago. Love them.
lol. I did just the opposite . Sold the 14 and 30 and a bunch of access. I like the garand safety , but mine wouldn't group to suit me ,esp. the 30. Looked at what it would take to make them group......now I'm happy with the AR platform.
Awesome pics. Slightly disappointed you haven’t figured out how to draw from a pocket holster yet 😂. Kinda funny how you just toss the holster to the side tho. Those holsters are designed to catch on the inside lip of your pocket so they holster stays in the pocket when you draw the firearm. Kind of similar how an Emerson Wave style knife opens. Whatever works for you is awesome I’m not judging I’m just saying there is a way to easily draw your LCP one handed and without having to toss the holster. Happy New Years everyone, stay safe🤙🏻

Now I want Hop's version of the list.
Now I want Hop.
Thanks for the awesome year of content Jimmy!
Happy New Year my Dude cheers
To be honest those out there that believe you should never carry anything chambered in 380 or below are over analyzing the situation of day to day...
Especially now that there are modern .380 defense loads that easily pass the FBI penetration test
Dude everything you do is totally awesome
I never wanted an LCP. But, I do want an LCP Max.
LCP MAX in 22lr with 22 round capacity for "2022"
I love my 380 Max. Having that kind of capacity casually in my shorts is amazing. The gun ran flawless out of the box with fiocchi ball and hornady crit defense.
@@PositiveManifestation-Love that would be cool!
My wife got me a Ruger LCP Max for Christmas. I have yet to shoot it, but I just bought two OEM 12-round mags for it. Going to get my CHL on Jan. 15th!
LCP MAX in 22lr with 22 round capacity for "2022"
2021 I bought the first desert eagle I have ever seen in real life. Such a great purchase. 2020 and 2021 I’ve made the most amounts of money in my life and it seems to only be getting better. Loving it.
Great video thanks!
LCP MAX in 22lr with 22 round capacity for "2022"
Good picks happy New Years James!
I thought the new 10mm offerings from S&W and Springfield looked pretty promising
Well researched. You're always great but this one stands out! Thanks for what you do and Happy New Year!
Keltec P50 is my #1 without question. I love mine and im tired of hearing people complain about no stock/brace when I literally had my carbon fiber side folding brace that did not require any permanent modification to add day 1. Theres also a picitiny brace from another company that's a solid choice.
People love to bash Kel Tec, Hi-Point and Kimber for some reason. I have/had all of these brands and they work/worked fine.
Great video as always. Happy New Year!
Suggestions,
1) Let her use it at the range
2) keep it as a safe queen, the republic can use another sidearm in a couple years
3) keep it as a safe queen, then trade it for 60 pounds of pasta and 5 pounds of hard red winter wheat in a couple years
@@phild8095 Great suggestions Phil! It just does not want to leave me…LOL!
Happy New Year 🎆 to you and yours
Was that a negligent discharge @ 8:24? Sure looked like it
I thought so too! Thought I was seeing things and moved on with the video.
Finger was off the trigger and the slide was halfway back, so likely no. In those conditions, if so, it were "immaculate combustion"
Just a non-perfect segue effect choice
Happy New Year James........and to everyone !!!
21 was a big year for me. Got my first suppressor, 44 magnum, and got my battle rifle set up
Oh and my daughter was born I guess
So your suppressor didn't work ?....j/k congrats....Do you realize what you've done ? ...you will in 12 years....
Classic
Happy new year brotha
I was sure that the top gun was gonna be the Laugo Arms Alien since he was talking so much about innovation
I was, too. But I think the Max is a better choice. The Alien's innovations, as impressive as they are, are years away from having any relevance for most consumers.
$4-5 grand, limited run, makes it not an option, it's a collector gun at this point.
Very surprised we didn't find you in the "Gundie" awards. Even looked for a write in slot. Oh well, there's always next year... And, Happy New Year.
Agreed it's fantastic best trigger I've ever felt. 1k rds without a hiccup super comfy it's my EDC now.
Yeah, they jerked the PDP by not putting it even in the honorable mentions. Great piece.
I said the same thing. A bit of a bullshit list but James has bills to pay like everyone else.
Happy New Year James TFB t.v. ...
Thanks for all your hard work and knowledge all year sir! We appreciate you! Happy New Year! 🥂👍🎊
LCP MAX in 22lr with 22 round capacity for "2022"
happy new year to you and yours and thanks for a great year
When you realize you bought #1,2,3 and a runoff, you realize you spent too much money, but at least it was on good guns.
Happy New Year James!
My fiancé is hell bent on getting a Ruger LCP Max. While I’m not a fan of .380 ACP, I’d rather her have more options to carry than to not carry at all. Yes, I’ve been doing plenty of ammo research and I’ve been pushing her to do the same.
Women do not know what they want, just buy her what she needs.
@@pimenjoyer.221 kinda sexist of you
Given the size of most women's pants pockets and the low cut designs of most women's pants I can understand why she wants it. Especially if she doesn't want to carry in her purse.
@@factsoftheconfederacy7151 Imagine unironically calling another man sexist. Lol
Love your choices, Number one is cool, though I'm sticking with my colt mustang.
If 5.7 was cheaper than .223 I’d blast that shit every day.
And if wishes were horses, I'd have a stable of hot Tomboys.
(Tomboys are better than 5.7. Refuses to elaborate. Leaves).
Thanks for all the videos this year!
Bought my first Mini in the early 90's when it was *the* economical alternative to AR's on the market. I've since bought three others, the last as recently as 2 years ago. Love them.
I am looking to buy my first mini. What you recommend?? Thx
lol. I did just the opposite . Sold the 14 and 30 and a bunch of access. I like the garand safety , but mine wouldn't group to suit me ,esp. the 30. Looked at what it would take to make them group......now I'm happy with the AR platform.
Look at the flex with the G36 in the back
Awesome pics.
Thank you and Happy New Year! 🎩🥂
Zastava is really up there on my 'to get' list. Waiting for an auction steal when all the drunks aren't bidding on them through the roof. CHEERS, James and all of TFB TV, Happy New Gun Year.
I made a couple great buys, and sold some big winners off this year.
Here’s to an amazing year James and TFB TV.
Dude, I'm still into full bush

What a way to Ring in the new year watching this! Happy new year!
Enthusiasm makes me want the m90 even though i can't think of a use in my arsenal. Same journey for me. Carried a shield until the 365xl this year.
You need a reason to buy another gun?
@@TheKawasaki250 No, but i do have to be judicious with my choices, you don't save up for a 10k 50bmg buying every 1k gun to come along
Happy New Year, brother!
