I bought a brand new BMW R 1300 GS, Have I made a mistake?

I do so agree with you about the wind deflectors under the screen. They should be clear or at least there should be a choice, as some people would want a dark screen.
I'm thinking I might paint the inside of mine silver or something when I get my bike, so they are not so obvious, or stick some silver vinyl on or whatever.
I wrote to BMW about that.
RE. The sign in the woods, maybe the red circle around the sign suggests it's prohibited? I don't know.
Lastly, the parts that the pistons go up and down in are cylinder bores, within the barrels.

I hope you get your bike sooner than you think and you enjoy it as much as I do.
The black deflectors have started to not bother me anymore as the bike is so amazing.
but I am interested in what you hear back from BMW about them and if they plan on some clear ones in the future.

I don't hold out much hope of hearing back from BMW based on my past experiences, but I also wrote a comment about the deflectors when I went for a test ride with BMW a month or so ago. Maybe feedback will filter through! 😃

A lot of folks say wait until after first service to use the QS. But you suggest using it before?
Yep, I was told to use everything so that it all has a chance to drop its tiny imperfections into the first oil. Then in the second oil you shouldn’t have any.
Great bike i brought the exact same bike last week have to wait til October for delivery its gonna kill me waiting that long, already buying accessories, still not sure if i should buy upper crashbars
That’s so good jack, I’m excited for you. Yeah I had ordered mine in January and had to wait until the first week in April, was torture.😂
Personally I think the upper crash bars might not be worth it because it will just hit the lower first then the hand guards and completely miss the upper. I might be wrong tho. Maybe I will find out in future videos 😉

@@jackchristodoulou197 yeah the trophy comes with. At least here in Europe it does.
My wife’s white 1300 didn’t, even tho we got all the same packages on both bikes.
In my humble opinion, no upper, just engine crash bars and I put the Touratech on mine, they look great. Green bike, black bars, lovely.
