    Please note, this not a fixed driving assessment route in West Pert area, this is an indication of likely PDA route. There are no fixed routes as the assessor can randomly take you anywhere within a reasonable distance in the area.

    I got my license recently at a different testing location after having two very negative experiences at West Perth. Despite what you may hear it is not only possible, but it is likely that you will be taken onto the freeway at the City West DVS. My first test I was completely unprepared for, and I have no complaint for the assessor (other than him being a bit rude) but, he immediately took me onto the freeway which I was totally rattled by. Second time around (I still consider this to be my best driving test) I failed for having one too many signal faults, I was taken onto the freeway AGAIN by a different examiner. For the learners, if you are wanting to pass your driving test here leave nothing to chance, make sure that you are over prepared and have done several professional lessons. Do not bother with the appeal process unless your professional instructor comes with you, you will be treated like an idiot and essentially told to suck it up, which can sting if you consider yourself a safe driver who's just been scammed out of $100. Make sure you are comfortable with each kind of maneuver and each form of parking, I consider myself a collected person, but under pressure I choked hard because I hadn't practiced reverse parking enough. I'd also like to thank you for your videos as they were an excellent help to me!

    With the help of these videos I passed my PDA. I had three days to learn as much as I could as I was horrible at reverse parallel parking and along with all of the other things I was not aware of, the videos here saved my life.
    Paying for driving lessons is a waste of time when you have such good quality information right here.
    Thank you 🙏🏼

    I feel sorry for anybody who gets the German bloke at this place. Absolutely the most rude person I have ever met. He whispers you instructions and will automatically fail you for the most petty things. I was stopped before a stationary bus, I assesed the situation and proceeded to drive past and as I did the bus driver suddenly indicated and started pulling out. I seen this and before I could even react he slammed the breaks on and directed me to go back to the licence centre and failed me. He have "feedback" but was so rude. I explained to him you didn't even give me time to react but he wasn't having it. He makes you feel so uncomfortable so I'd recommend not booking your test at this place for the chance you might get this idiot.

      Sorry to hear about your experince. You can request a different assessor next time. If they say NO, persist as you have the right to get a different examiner.

      got this same guy and had the same problem with whispering instructions and the harsh automatic fail, he also yelled at me when i tried to argue that it wasnt my fault. Then i got the russian lady who apparently has a reputation for failing people, she was deffo nicer then the guy but even more strict and i failed again.

It might start of the same but as you go he might make a few changes, my advise is don't memorise the videos but use them as guides. Example: Some will do parrallel parking others don't, where you do stop for shopping depends on the traffic in the area and time of the day.

    Can you please explain why you’re giving pedestrians a way down James/Parker st when turning left? I failed my first PDA test for gesturing them to cross (was told only police officers can control traffic). I was under the impression that you should only give way on crossings. By doing this, there is a potential danger as there may be a car from the opposite side who might not be giving them a way. Thank you!

    • @DrivingSchoolWA
      @DrivingSchoolWA  3 года назад +1

      because it's the RULE. There are signs all over Northbridge stating *turning cars must give way to pedestrians* not only at marked pedestrian crossings

      @regishenrietta5094 3 года назад

      @@DrivingSchoolWA sorry I should also add that you must give a way to pedestrians when turning on a traffic light. So I could have passed the test that day?! I’m just so confused because that was literally one of the reasons I failed. I was creating a potential danger. Why did the assessor tell me this 😭

    • @shehb-w7880
      @shehb-w7880 3 года назад

      Potentially (but I’m a learner myself not a professional driver) the examiner failed you because the car behind you was moving too fast or was too close to your car when you stopped while turning that the examiner believed that the car wasn’t prepared to safely break or something. My driving instructor has mentioned this to me before, that’s why I though this may be the cause but good luck on your next test though!! 👍
