Hi ! First of all , I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because your video brought me back so many good memories... I was there with my wife in June 2009. Actually, in the video you made about Tintagel Village, you just walked in front of the B&B where we stayed two nights. You were lucky with the weather (may be End of May ?). The first day we couldn't visit the castle because it was SO windy that they had to close it to avoid accidents. At that moment, the bridge and some of the buildings you showed weren't there (the Land Rover either) By the way, in case you do not know, the big building on top of the hill that you showed at the minute "53:33" it's a big hotel where one of the first scenes of Doc Martin were filmed (S1 E1). That was the moment when Martin met Louisa (after the short flight) and told her about the problem in her eye. We were there without knowing that Doc Martin had been created five years before !!! In Canada they released it around 2010. Also we were lucky because at that time the low tide allowed us to get into the cave down on the beach. Anyway, thanks again for this and other videos. You created a fantastic channel. This video sparked sweet moments in my head and my heart.
Thanks for showing the castle, we didn't think dogs were allowed but just saw 1 on the bridge, have to ask nxt time, we stayed in the camelot Castle hotel, scenery is amazing, well done with your fear of heights to do the bridge
Oh my God! Did the other bridge over 20 years ago, but this is so much better! Remember also going across with my parents and siblings when I was quite young - am 64 now - this is such an improvement! Health and safety didn't exist all that time ago! I am definitely visiting Tintagel Castle again! 😊
This is really awesome seeing Tintagel Castle and the home of the legendary King Arthur with the breathtaking scenery of the sea and the land surrounding it all this is best part of Cornwall here and can't wait to see what is next Thank You.🇬🇧🏰🏰🇬🇧
I commented on this the other day, Tintagel and Tintagel Castle is just otherworldly. The cliff walks towards the castle literally takes your breath away, looking forward to this later, so happy you went.
I do love Tintagel. I have only been once but it was so atmospheric. We went in the middle of June a few years ago for my 40th birthday as it was somewhere I wanted to visit that hadn't seen before but it was so windy that they closed it for safety measures just one hour later and yet the day before temperatures got up to 30 degrees. It is such an atmospheric location and normally I can get quite bad vertigo but managed the bridge okay just didn't look down lol. Thank you Neil for filming it
Watching Tintagel Sunday night on TV with my daughter. That bridge was very scary. When we went back in the 70s ,my sister in law and i had to climb the stairs on the rock while my husband and his brother went down to merlin's cave.Everything seems safer ,and seeing the village in another video ,more cafes etc for tourists. This is a lovely video.I don't remember seeing all the areas you covered.Thanks😊.
Wow, fantastic video of Tintagel. We've not been there since the bridge was built. It's an amazing structure but bet it's a little scary to walk over. Enjoying Cornwall so much, thank you!
Absolutely amazing and beyond words. I was 15 when I last went there and lit fitter before the cantilever bridge, but the weather was the same but I think I missed a lot of it previous I'm now in my 60s. You need gold medal for this!❤
We cannot wait to visit Tintagel. Thankyou for showing us this stunning place. Our first overseas trip from Australia to your beautiful country cannot come quick enough.
Absolutely stunning video, just watched on my HD projector. Picture was so large, clear and colourful it was like being there. The views were amazing. Thanks for taking me to a place I couldn't manage now due to health problems. Used to visit Cornwall a lot years ago. Going to watch the tintagel village film next. Thanks again mate.
@@GimbalWalkTV get one Neil they are brilliant and cheaper than a large screen TV but at least twice the screen size. Leave the cheaper ones alone though. Still ok but may have to watch in a darker room. Thanks again.
What a fantastic video Neil, you must be very proud of all the ones that you have done in Cornwall we have enjoyed all of them. We have been watching your channel now for about 18 months now and must say this has been your best, mind saying that we have enjoyed must of your walks. Cornwall is our go to place when in England, Elizabeth and Barry from Oz 😀🇦🇺
Great video. Used to go a lot when we were younger with kids. Had to stop and pay or join EH at the kiosk at the bottom of the stairs where you came down. Can't manage it now so was lovely to see it all on a beautiful day with the lovely sea. Thanks
Neil has the best job in the world going to all these amazing places and keeping fit at the same time too! Much better than ‘Wish you were here’ on ITV.
Hello Out There In Or On The World Wide Web To Mr. or Ms. or Mrs. Gimbal, Sir or Ma'am, The Last Part Of Your Video Is Grand, I Couldn't Believe That Someone Still Had An Ear For Real Singing, Thank You, For Something Other Than to Rap Music, Thank You Again!
Great video always but you are braver than me crossing the bridge IAM wouldn't do it lol lovely place can't pounced half the places lol but great place thanks Neil
Hello Out There In Or On The World Wide Web To Mr. or Ms. or Mrs. Gumball, Sir, Thank You For The Tour, You Are SPOT ON, That Place Is Extraordinary, & You Are Very Much Appreciated, From A History Buff, Like Yourself! I Have 1 Question, For You, Was Tintagel Castle Start As 1 Building, Or Were More Than 1 Building? Enjoyed Your Time And Energy For That Wonderful Viewing! More Power To You, And You Have A Blessed Life, OK!
@@GimbalWalkTV I understand that but how can you even know! Unless you go in the off season. I admit I went at a bad time , bank holiday, and the weather was crap too! haha but still it was great!
@@PennySadler Usually I check the weather, make sure I try and get there on a midweek when the kids are in schools, and try and film as early or late as possible Doesn't always work but definitely helps!
£20 for one adult to visit the ruins of the castle. You can guarantee there's not many places in England where english heritage owns it. And don't have a price on it . I mean, I can understand the cost of maintenance and things like that, but it shouldn't be £20 every time it should be like a toll road where it gets paid for eventually and then it's free. Or is reduced to only £5 per adult I mean the price is absolutely ridiculous. Could you imagine if you were a family with 2 adults and 2 children?🤔🇬🇧
I’m an english heritage member so it’s free for me (plus free parking too) so for me I don’t feel the pain but yeh it’s not cheap if you’re a family that’s for sure
@@GimbalWalkTV Tip: If on your travels if you come across a friendly medium size mutt, make a fuss for a minute and gauge the response after. So many people love dogs.👍

Vertigo and fear of heights makes it tougher but worth it doesn’t it!
It happened the same to us in June 2009. It seems that June is a windy month for that location.
majestic!

Scariest bridge I’ve walked across
I think it’s because there’s no glass or walls on the sides! 😮🤣

Thank you - to be honest anything and everything from my gopro to my phone to my FX3 or A7Cii - whatever I have with me on each trip really!
