Fascinating video. So much history. I am actually amazed. If only those stones could talk. Now that you joined i hope we will have many more historical trips. Sherpa is so well behaved. He carefully sniffs the items on the shelves. Such a blustery day. Even his ears were blowing. Good thing he's warmly dressed in his winter coat😂

Jamie, you are so much braver than I! I have a horrific fear of heights. You'd never get me across that bridge; I'd have such a massive panic attack I'd go catatonic! That happened to me years ago when my sister and I thought we'd do the Empire State Building for fun. She had to get Security to help get me off the Observatory, because I'd gone catatonic and couldn't move. Thanks, but that's an experience I won't repeat!

      Hi Lorna
Yup, I’ve stayed at that hotel, it was one of the weirdest but most memorable hotel stays of my life. I think it was being run by some sort of cult or something when I stayed. All quite surreal. I actually do not like the footbridge, I think it detracts from the coastline. In my personal opinion a blot on the landscape. Quite a few years ago I was just off the coastline when we had a total eclipse of the sun. That was super special looking over the coastline and watching the streetlights come on during day time. The sea birds all flew inland to roost and then all flew back to sea a few minutes later. Ahh the memories, thank you Lorna, Jamie and Sherpa for bringing back those special memories. ❤️🌈❤️☮️

Very educational today, Jamie. Of course, Sherpa pays his "respect" at the beginning then you explored in between raindrops to check out the castle. The bridge that you walked across was phenomenal especially with the view below. Those would have made great pictures. What interesting was the connection with king Arthur for it seemed that he spent his days at that castle. That was a good deal for a membership to go through those castles so i take it you will be taking us on an historic expedition Sherpa style? I see Sherpa is recreating the Who's, Who's Next, album cover at the beginning of the video! He's certainly having fun. BTW, have you ever visited Flag Fen east of Peterborough? It's a Bronze Age site built 3,500 years ago and was archeologically excavated in the early 1980s by a team led by Francis Pryor - who appears regularly on the UK TV show, Time Team.
