Sherpa loves the gift shop and meeting other canine explorers. He was trying to save you when he heard the voices of the men shouting. He sensed danger and said "best to turn around here!"
He is a good companion explorer.

That castle was very interesting to see. I loved Sherpa's response to hearing the loud speaker give details about the area you'd entered. He was like 😲 who is that talking.

Another successful tour. I am always grateful when there are photos and actual letters on display. A reminder of real people who lived and persevered, fought and survived, and sadly fought and died. Yet also a reminder that hoomans do work together in times of crises. 💙💙

What a treat being taken along on your tour of this historic site ... I love it and Sherpa is such a lovely tour guide and he's fearless climbing all those stairs even those narrow ones near the top, he's awesome!

Sherpa.....Jamie this was a great tour the history is amazing and the fact that these castle/ fortresses are still standing and the cannons in great shape.....6 people to load one of those cannons at a rate of one per minute....wow...and Sherpster has seen more history than many humans..
And there was still a pair shoes under the bench in one of the rooms..crazy....Thanks for sharing

Its Sunday so it's time for Sherpa's historic tours round Great Britain ! Pendennis was built by king Henry VIII as a fortress in the 16th century. Not sure if Sherpa was impressed by the canonns or not, more Batdogs thing. 🏰🐶💙👦
Henry VIII lived from the tail end of the Fifteenth Century until the Middle of the Sixteenth Century. Construction on Pendennis started in 1540, seven years prior to Henry's death...

I'm an introvert and I love quiet places with not alot of people. I live in Los Angeles California USA and it's wall-to-wall people. I love the fact that the UK has these amazing places that are so beautiful and not a lot of congestion with people. Just the best Channel ever! I wish I had a dog and I wish I had a van and I could do the same thing and just go to all these places and have these wonderful lovely adventures with my dog. Maybe one day.....

Sherpa sure did have a Batdog heir about him while touring the cannons. Something about his ear stance. He sure recognized the Batdog black colors of the cannons.The way he caught that duck treat like Mr. Cool let us know Batdog was in the house!

See that narrow road coming down from the car park. "Imagine coming down there in the van" you said! On my first visit to St Ives, I did, by mistake, not in a van admittedly, but in my Landrover! I met another tourist coming up, and had to back up what felt like half a mile! On that occasion I gave up! Never got to Pendennis Castle either, so thanks for taking me there.
