Just watched this video after being in Dorset last week. Have to agree its the most beautiful part of England in my opinion and i noticed too that the birds sing the loudest here. Hopefully due to return in the spring of 2025 to enjoy the breath taking countryside and coastline of this wonderful county...LOVE IT !!
Absolcutely love theses videos, that l call my virtual holidays. l am elderly and housebound at the moment, so they are a godsend. l have been all over Cornwall , Devon, and now doing Dorset. THANK YOU so much Mamie
Wow, i really liked the beginning with the train I'm a train fan Corfe Castle, Dorset is a very beautiful village town and of course i really like the awesome looking houses and buildings as well as places eat and drink, but seeing the churches was the best part of the walk tour and a magnificent looking castle very nice and I'm really enjoying this tour and can't wait for your next thank you. 🇬🇧👍👍🇬🇧
Gorgeous place and beautiful thatched cottages and houses. A shame about the busy road it cannot be great for residents especially if they have their windows open. Great it has a castle. Thank you for showing it to us.
Omg that cottage is beautiful, I was fortunate to live in a thatched cottage many years ago, they keep warm in winter and cool in hot weather and all have different vibes they are almost alive! I miss it to this day😢
Lovely ❤video, we visited this place in 2013. A must for all Enid Blyton 🇬🇧Fans (many in Germany 🇩🇪 and France 🇫🇷). There is a Enid Blyton trail, more information about that on the homepage of Dorset Tourism. Thank you so much 😊 ❤
As I mentioned the other day, the area is one of my favourite southern holiday spots. I'm still there now, I never want to go home. I don't want to brag, but I got a free ice cream in Corfe last year. I still haven't got a clue why, but she was a lovely lady in the shop 😄
What a lovely street. Especially the cottages with thatched roofs. I would love to live there too Neil, but that traffic and the noise that goes with it....pass! I love castles and never seen this one before. Thanks! ;)
It is lovely, we were there a week ago. However the high volume of traffic spoilt our enjoyment. There are so many wonderful villages across England it is impossible to say which one is the prettiest!
Beautiful place been there loads of times as Mum lived in Swanage. You need to win the lottery to live there every thing in Corfe price wise makes your eyes water shop wise also. Next time you visit Swanage on your return trip as you head out of Swanage you bypass Herston Look for the signs to LANGTON MATRAVERS this route takes you quite up hill eventually back into Corfe its a beautiful route simply the best as you are so high up and Corfe Castle Wow Wow Wow appears out of no where. Its a very narrow road in some places and very winding as you drop down & down but a stunning view.
lovely place, we went camping at burnbake campsite not long ago, didnt get chance to walk round corfe castle but will do soon, east and west street are very tranquil then you hit the main street and the road noise is shocking, thnx for your work
Hi, I live in Corfe Castle and I think you have done a great job. I think I would have included the steam railway station which is such a major attraction, but over all you certainly captured the spirit of of the village.
It’s an absolute stunning place to visit I used to go many times as a child when we used to holiday in swanage and used to go on the steam train to get there
Wonderful video, visited here for just a few hours in 2018. Had a wonderful cream tea just below the castle, I think it was part of the National Trust. I told myself I must come back to spend more time and your video confirms my idea! Thanks again, great video. 😊
Another lovely film. I asm not sure I ever need to leave the house now! Have you ever been to Rye, East Sussex? I would love to see a walk around Rye and camber sands?
I have fond memories from a few years ago visiting Corfe via steam train from Swanage but the thing I remember most was the vast number of cyclists in the village at the time, there were literally hundreds I had never seen so many in one place, and they were all the colourful lycra brigade ones as well 🤣🤣🤣
@@GimbalWalkTV It was about the many cyclist that find Corfe a beautiful place to visit, Better for the area than the ton load of cars belching through.
I'm going to ask a stupid question here. At 5.46 and again at 13.44, a chimney is shown directly above a door. I know it should mean a fireplace directly below, but it means all that weight of the stack above a door? It just looks odd.
Just looked the cottage up online, it’s a semi detached and next door. Number 49, is for sale at £535000. Get your numbers on the lottery. Oh and it’s a Grade 2 listed building too

What an absolutely stunning village. It’s on my bucket list as a place to visit
Fab isn’t it!

Went there as a child many years ago it was beautiful then and still is in fact it hasn’t changed that much at all Thank you for this video
You’re welcome!

Lovely memories of Corfe, my aunt and uncle had a guest house on East Street. I'm sure that road has got busier since I was last there about 2018!😮
Yes it seems a very busy road!!
West street is pretty and the cottage
With the roses over the door stunning stunning
Lovely little village

Ahhh I didn’t get one on my trip 🤣🤣
Corfe village is lovely. The bakery is epic! The castle is a lovely few hours walk around. Great video by the way
Thank you so much
I must try the bakery next time!

Can’t wait to visit here. Thankyou for filming. Our UK trip is fast approaching xo
another great video loved the castle churches cottages and the scenery thanks Neil for your time how's your knee
Thank you
My knee is playing up today!
I just got to my first place to film and it’s really painful so I’m going to get some ibuprofen
It is lovely, we were there a week ago. However the high volume of traffic spoilt our enjoyment. There are so many wonderful villages across England it is impossible to say which one is the prettiest!
True!
My my, what an enchanting little village, very quaint. Always love to see thatched cottages 👍 and other oddities. Thanks for the trip 💯
Our pleasure!
@@GimbalWalkTV How is your knee ❓ You didn't seem to be limping ... 🥺

I'm back soon so will definitely include the railway station
I wasn't sure where it was or how far down the road it was etc
It’s an absolute stunning place to visit I used to go many times as a child when we used to holiday in swanage and used to go on the steam train to get there
Perfect
That’s the best way to arrive at corfe castle
I’m jealous - my arrival was in a Nissan qashqai 🤣

Have a lovely week ❤️
These small English villages are the best, been to a few and totally enjoy them! Thankyou!
Will try and find some more!
I usually go to Devon or Cornwall for holidays. Will definitely be adding Dorset to the list.
A very nice village which we are looking forward to visiting next month when on holiday to Dorset. Thanks for the tour of a stunning location
Have fun!
We visited last , Thank you for this video , happy memories of our visit thanks again
You’re welcome ❤️❤️
Looks very tweed and expensive but pretty except for the appalling traffic 🚦. I bet the views from the castle 🏰 are wonderful.
Never been but Beautiful place on list for next year x
It’s really lovely
Oh, thanks Gimbal for doing this one - was this the most requested on your vote??
Right, gonna watch it now ...
Let me know what you think!

Rye is on my ‘film soon as possible’ list!

People in outdoor fashion in bright colors destroy any idyll of a photo 😂😂😂

😮😮😮😮 out of my price range that one 🤣
i cam't undrstnd why the village is called corfe castle we don't call edinburgh edinburgh castle -or so cardiff windsor or anywhere else
It is a nice place but the road through the centre is solid traffic. A place I avoid.
