I might buy another set in a darker color...I'm still thinking about it. Here's a link to the playlist of dishes I cooked using Caraway Cookware ruclips.net/p/PL2qWKjrsTSmcwXYHoGjJKVyt-UB2Bwg7t
Thanks for your detailed review. My primary goal is to find a pan set where the inside cooking surface will not disintegrate over time. I have babied a set of All-Clad pans for three years and the inside surface is flaking off. As an aside ...try Aldi Radiance Cleaning Eraser for cleaning literally anything.
Have you found a good cookware set? I’m on the hunt right now and I can’t seem to find any without bad reviews. I’m a new subscriber and I’m keeping a close eye on your recommendations… Thank you for your review, it stopped me from wasting my time ordering this set…🙏🏼
I'll be looking for this video on your channel (if its not already up). I'm personally interested in the Navy set, so I would like to see the difference.
I was literally getting ready to purchase and was led to look up reviews. And thank God I did , I do not want to pay top dollar for this set or any with this kinds of results. Thanks for sharing an honest review 👏🏼
I’m trying green pan. They have beautiful ones. Plus they are just pans. It’s not like I want them beautiful forever. Only cook with cast and and stainless steel
just prior to hitting "place order" I found your video. THANK GOD. I was between the greenpan set and this set, but this set is so much prettier I wanted it. Now, I'm passing. I'm just not spending that amount of money on a set that is so fragile it chips, and those stains are A NO GO TO ME!!!! I'm so bummed!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I totally agree! I have Caraway frying pan with same color and it is heavily stained now with normal use. The ceramic coating in the inside is also such a disappointment, initially (first 1 month) food doesn't stick, but now stuff sticks heavily and I have to use more oil than usual to prevent sticking. I followed the manufacture's recommendation (hand washing, no metal scrubber, low-medium heat, etc) but this still happened. This brand is totally overpriced and doesn't live up to the hype. I wish I had watched your video before buying this. Oh well, learned from mistake!
I had it in my cart too and decided to look at reviews because these are not cheap to be staining up so easily. Pretty colors and organization but nope.
Bar keepers friend makes everything look brand new again. Le Creuset has that lifetime warranty you can’t beat imo. My cookware is in the color meringue and it’s held up perfectly over the years. I say get the pans you love, and don’t be deterred by a bit of wear and tear ladies, you got this!
Thank you for this. I was going to buy this exact set too. I’m holding out and will continue my search for better quality vs just the beautiful aesthetics.
Good luck with your return. It seems you did everything right in the way you kept the shipping box and materials and returned them all in a like fashion. The paint coating on the surface is very thin - you can see that. But I love the way you gave the pluses as well as the minuses that prompted your decision to send them back Again, best of luck with the return and thank you for the review.
Hi Dave, I was able to get a full refund for the cookware set. I was a bit nervous because I was afraid they might think I abused the pans and only deserved a partial refund. I really did try to be gentle with the pans. I agree that the outer coating seems very thin. Maybe they will improve the coating to stand up to use better. Thanks so much for watching.
Thanks for sharing. I think the most important thing you said was that the pans are made of aluminum. Aluminum has been deemed to be unhealthy to cook on so I’m happy you mention that. People you can do your research and see that aluminum is not a good choice.
I came here for an honest review prior to purchasing! Thank you for your honesty! My heart was pretty set; I’ll continue using my set that’s not as expensive but works just fine. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video! I have been wanting this set in the cream color for a while now. I’m so glad I stumbled across this informative review - it has saved me from being super disappointed and going through the hassle of a return. Again, thank you so much for making this!
Appreciate the honest review. My husband is the chef at home and he is not gentle with the pots and pans. My MIL will use a stainless steel utensils so I guess this is not for our household. If I live alone maybe. Alas the search continues. Bless your ❤️
I was about to order them based on the recommendations of another RUclipsr but I decided to do a little bit more research since the other RUclipsr was being sponsored. I’m glad I ran in to this channel, I’ll be holding off as well…
Thank you for how in-depth this was! Our family cooks almost daily, too, and we likewise have many cooks and sliding on the stove grate sometimes occurs. I'll be passing these up and checking out your channel for more reviews because we need some DURABLE pots and pans!
I received my Caraway as a Christmas gift 2020 from my daughter and I love cooking with this set of pots and pans. But yes, you are right on point about the staining and the chipping. I have the blue set and they are beautiful!
I'm still thinking about getting another set. Crate and Barrel has a gorgeous green set with gold hardware. I think about buying it almost every day even though I know it's not as durable as I need it to be. The nonstick surfaces work very well. I did enjoy cooking with them Thanks for watching!
@@sweetsavant Hi again. I did watch other videos on how to clean them. I did use the baking soda and it help a lot. Going to try it with vinegar and baking soda next time. Have a great day!
I was almost tricked into buying these 😂 I can’t have pans that I have to be so careful with. I will stick with my stainless steel and cast iron! Thank you for such a thorough and clear review!
I bought these at 10% off and could not be happier. They are gorgeous and the clean up is a breeze. I've had them for 4 months. Because they are so beautiful, I treat them very carefully.....they have never touched anything metal. I bought a special set of silicone to use in these pans. I clean them and dry them then put them away. I have a glass cooktop. So maybe gas doesn't work as well.
Thank you for such a fantastic, in-depth review! While researching two sets, I've been going back and forth, trying to decide between the Caraway and another brand. Your review has definitely helped me make my decision!
I really think they are a good set of pans but the stamp of pans but the staining is a problem. The dark blue color blue color is probably a good idea is probably a good idea to hide stains. I've considered buying another set but I'm not sure yet
Eslite was my purchase because it safe Non Stick easy as can be wash up no more scrubbing I had had it with stains and chips and having them so so fragile so I am finally happy
I’m glad I watched this. I’ve been eyeing these. And in the meantime I bought less expensive blue diamond pans from kohls. And you know what those blue diamond pans are affordable and holding up. So glad I didn’t spend a lot of money on these. Thanks for such a great review!
You made a smart choice. I had the pan and even he inside doesn't last very long. It can get a chip and from there it grows and ruins the finish. then the bottom outside the aluminum colored base ring gets heavily stained. Impossible to get clean.Less than a year stains. on the inside and everything sticks now.
This is a great review. Very comprehensive. Almost purchased the set and then decided to Google reviews and your channel came up. The chipping and staining within 30 days was a major reason why I will not buy the set. It seems as though Caraway is just too delicate, low to medium heat, no sliding across the grates, etc. Definitely does that looks nice, but if it’s not functional for everyday cooking, it’s worthless.
Wow. Those pans are actually GORGEOUS! I have been curious about this product ..the stainless steel base info was KEY. thanks for the EVAL! my RV has an induction stove! For everyday too fussy for me but camping in the RV this is lovely!
My stepdaughter has this exact same set. I had never heard of it before so I decided to check it out. Let me say for me, I use All-Clad cookware for my general cooking. But for certain foods I use carbon steel and cast iron pans. I don't care about how my cookware looks. Carbon steel can be pretty rough looking, but it cooks like a dream. Cast iron is best for high temperature cooking (searing meat). But it you like good looking cookware, take some Bar Keepers Friend to your All-Clad, wash it up, and it will shine like new. Of course the down side to CS & CI is the weight. So far my stepdaughter likes her cookware. She prefers the lighter weight. We will see how it holds up.
I'll have a video on carbon steel pans up this week. I love that they're tough and lighter than cast iron. I do still like a non stick pan for quick weeknight dinners. My carbon steel isn't quite non stick enough yet. Thanks for watching!
I have the green set, and I haven't had any issues with staining or chips. Maybe green doesn't stain as easily? I also have a glass-top stove, so I don't bang the pans against metal when I cook. I also use a plastic sink mat (to avoid banging pans on the stainless sink) and dry them on a mat, not a rack. I really love my set, though they do require special care.
Thank you so much for this video! IMO, them saying to make sure to lift the pan and not slide it is evidence that they know their product is not durable. Boo for that company.
Yea, I had to return a nonstick frying pan I ordered on Amazon for the first-time. I spent close to $60 for it and really wanted to be excited about, but it was just not working no matter what I tried, and the performance only got worse the more I used it. Cheap $20 pans at Sams club actually worked better, but they never last. Finally pulled the trigger on the Ninja foodie never stick 12.5" and I like it. Heat it up for 6 mins at medium heat and do your eggs. works great.
Love my Caraway cookware. The only thing is I have to hand wash. But I Do agree with you about the stains. I love them so much I decided to just live with it. Mine hasn’t chipped though.
Just got one of the bigger pots with a cookie sheet pan, but pot in grey first and love the design. I am surprised to see comments here about stains....I got mine 2 weeks ago and it arrived sooo fast in 3-4 days Wow- I don't know if I wanna go thru a return because I'm in love with it and cook daily although I haven't used it every consecutive day
I have a set, and I absolutely love them. It tells you plainly on the instructions to add a bit of oil, but you didn't add enough and spread it around.
I received a set (Terra Cotta) for Mother's Day and I just LOVE this cookware. First the color is so BEAUTIFUL ....very heavy, well constructed. Performance.....the absolutely BEST. Food just glides out of the cookware making clean-up a breeze. My husband had left the burner on low with a plastic utensil in the pan. Needless to say it melted the utensil and I would have laid odds that the pan war ruined. After letting the pan cool I took a dry paper towel and the melted plastic just wiped easily out leaving the beautiful finish. Caraway is an investment for sure but this is the only cookware you will ever need. The Kitchen-aid stand mixer was always my go-to bridal shower gift now it CARAWAY cookware is. The brides-to-be are always thrilled. Thank You Caraway Debi O'May
FYI I have had my set for over a year and NEVER had my cookware stain like that. I hand wash do not put this in the dishwasher ...so food is never set in. It looks and performs the way it did the very first day. Like with anything the way you take care of it depends on how it looks and lasts. Never use abrasives....will scratch!
performance is SO important and these are so amazing I love cooking now. little chips etc gives it character and the performance never waivers. much rather have great food over worrying about a stain .
I had the same issue. Actually very disappointing given how expensive they are. The paint is gorgeous but it is the thinest layer of pain that scratches extremely easy.. The non-stick is also pretty bad. I bought the set because they advertised them as being ceramic but it doesn't come close to being as good as full ceramic.
Great review! I’m relieved to be informed about this new, mixed metals with ceramic surfaces, concept cookware. I’ve been on the fence. I’ll eventually decide on one ceramic ‘fry’ pan, and stay with my friendly old hardworking cookware. Thanks. Very much. Happy trails.
This is really interesting! I haven't had any issues with staining on my set, but I went with green rather than white. I'm wondering if this issue is specific to the white ones?
I have the same issues with my blue set. Not happy with this cookware. I have contacted the people at caraway and they stated that they would not do nothing to fix the issues I have with my cookware. I do NOT recommend this cookware very disappointed!!!
Thank you so much for the review! I just bought some but, were on the fence if I should keep them or not. You helped me make my decision to send them back. I used my Cookware a lot so, I don't want to have to worry about getting them chipped. Glad I found you! I subcribed!
Thanks for the review! I was tempted by this brand thinking it would be a good, healthy option to replace my old Teflon set - plus they look so nice. I ended up going with a few Xtrema 100% ceramic pieces, but now I don’t have to second guess my choice!
I'm so glad you found the video helpful. I'd love to hear more about the set you bought I'm going to look into it. Thanks for watching, I appreciate your support
Even if you buy a different color, these pans will still chip and look awful again so I wouldn't bother. Yes, they look pretty when they are new but for me the "be extra careful" or "don't do this or that" when cooking it's kind of annoying. You want a product that will be sturdy and will last with normal use. I recently bought a set of Ninja Foodi Never stick premium and I love it. I just subscribed. I love your videos!
M Fort I agree! Over the years I've come to the conclusion that I just need to stay away from any kind of cookware that needs babying. It wouldn't last in this house where I cook 2-3 meals/day, most every day--who needs the frustration?
@@janetyamashige9573 well the reason many of us don't want to use conventional cookware is chemical and metal leaching into the food, as well as the presence of PTFE, PFAS, PFOA, lead and cadmium which are linked to cancers. I prefer to baby my cookware but have the one that's not going to give me cancer in 5 or 10 years. I just ordered Caraway and I am ready to baby it and teach husband how to do that.. but I would LOVE to find a fully ceramic, non-coated cookware that will be dishwashable - and xtrema is not the option because independent testers actually confirmed the presence of lead and other toxins in its coating and even filed a lawsuit against the company...so still searching for fully ceramic and non-coated one
Just save that money add an extra 100 bucks and spend it on two Le Creuset cookware, they do not compare to these. They are heavier but last a lifetime and you can pass them on to your kids - when looking for pan spend the money on stuff that has been around for a long time.
I can see why it chipped on the grates. I have the ivory set but my stove is a glass top so I haven’t had any issues with chips or stains. It still looks as good as the day I bought it. If my late husband had been the one using the set he’d have ruined it completely by now 😂
I was going to buy their sausepan in lieu of the Le Crueset enameled sauce pan which costs 260! Well…*sigh* you get what you pay for. Im definitely going to get the french sauce pan!!
funny that they call that "dutch oven" when it's just a regular pot with ceramic coating. Also funny how they try to glorify all these nonstick coockware with fancy packaging, descriptions and manual with the same instructions that demand you extreme care (low to medium heat, don't put it in the dishwasher, don't use metal utensils, etc. Makes my eyes roll everytime i see it) but written in a prittier way. They make it seem like you were buying some really awaseome exclusive set but they all end up being the same disposable pans but more expensive. Just use carbon steel, cast iron and stainless steel, honestly
Thank you for this! Your recipes look amazing! I am about to bite the bullet and buy the cookware and the bake set, but I was curious: Did you repurchase in a darker color?
Ceramic cookware can chip. No surprise. Be careful with it. If you are not careful stick with stainless steel or carbon steel.stains? You should see my carbon steel pan…UG-LY….but it cooks fine. My Caraway has no problems. This video did convince me to get the datk blue model.
I really want this set but in the green. I think I'll try it for 30days and see how I like it. I'm so over my husband's cookware and want something that looks nice and is non-toxic/non-stick. Wish me luck!
Definitely was considering this set and finally purchasing myself some real cookware. For $400, I don’t need it to be chipping. Thanks for the review, new to your channel and love it!
Did you try cleaning it with baking soda .? By accident I burned badly my new cast iron pan instead of turning off the stove I put on low heat for hours. I followed the instructions on how to clean cast iron pots and look brand new.
I hope they listen to consumers and make a couple tweaks. 1. Can we get just a non-painted outside (metal only) that way there is no chipping. 2. Can we get gold/brass handles 3. Can we get a 8 inch (mini) pan? They do those 3 things and I will consider getting a set. I love cooking and I care about my pans but painted outside pans while may be aesthetic they do not hold up like straight stainless steel pans. I do appreciate their no rivets interior and design overall being non toxic- ceramic.
I've had my pan set for less than a year and only use over medium heat like it says and everything sticks to them!! They are terrible now and it's such a big regret because they were so expensive.
Yeah I have the beautiful silver color and I know the stains are a huge pain but still best pan I have ever bought as it should be though because they are crazy expensive
I get her point however my whole reason to buy these is they are the only true non toxic pans I have found. So they may still be worth it for me. I just won’t get the white haha

Oh no, it’s the exact set and color I was going to order lol.
performance is SO important and these are so amazing I love cooking now. little chips etc gives it character and the performance never waivers.
much rather have great food over worrying about a stain .
Thanks for the video. If you record in 60 frames per second you can do smoother slow motion video clips. Just the clips you want to slow down.
Let me know if you want me to explain more.
Great review!! I’m so 💔 because I wanted to order this set so bad. New subbie for those recipes! 😋
Hi Dee! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching
Thank you for the video ! I was about to purchase and thought to see some reviews . So informative thank you
Thanks for this review! I was on the fence about buying this set and it's definitely an investment, you saved me some money. 🙂
That is such a shame, that set was BEAUTIFUL !!!
GIRL, it's a real shame! I'm still thinking about this set. I liked the way it cooked and it's SO PRETTY! So sad
@@sweetsavant Ok, I'm totally a guy, but I love to cook (it's my only talent).
And yes, even us "Manly Men" can appreciate a Beautiful cook set !!! 😀
Thanks for your honesty!
Thank you so much for the review! I just bought some but, were on the fence if I should keep them or not. You helped me make my decision to send them back. I used my Cookware a lot so, I don't want to have to worry about getting them chipped. Glad I found you! I subcribed!
Love the color of this set thanks so much for the review
So glad I found your video before I ordered these
thanks for the video, saves me some time money and headache
Glad to help
Damn I was about to buy these very same pans. Glad I saw your video first. Yes it’s disappointing these beautiful pans don’t hold up
Thank you! This was very informative.
Thank you for this! With me always cooking chili, making spaghetti sauce and soups I definitely don’t want any stains! I won’t be buying!
Great rundown, really appreciate the video
Glad it was helpful!
Great review, thank you 🙏
Just save that money add an extra 100 bucks and spend it on two Le Creuset cookware, they do not compare to these. They are heavier but last a lifetime and you can pass them on to your kids - when looking for pan spend the money on stuff that has been around for a long time.
Great review! Really helpful. ❤
My sister just bought a Caraway set and so far she loves it. It replaced her Calphalon set.
Yeah if they are not dishwasher safe than I doubt they will last for a very long time and for that price I’m expecting the quality to last for years !
funny that they call that "dutch oven" when it's just a regular pot with ceramic coating.
Great and honest review. I was going to order a set but have since decided not to. Bummer.
Thank you for this review!
Thank you for the review... very helpful!
Shocking! Guess I’ll take this one off my list.
You have a beautiful kitchen - great review
i appreciate this review! thank you!
Woooow! I'm so glad I saw this.
Have you tried any Staub products yet? I adore the cookware. I own about 26 pieces now.
So helpful, thank you!
Excellent review. Thank you!
Have you tried the set yet? I see they also have beautiful bakeware sets
@@ForeverGodsGirl03 no I want the special collection but I always push it down the priority list. I want to get it next year
Definitely was considering this set and finally purchasing myself some real cookware. For $400, I don’t need it to be chipping. Thanks for the review, new to your channel and love it!
What did you end up buying?
Thank you for saving me from my wife's ire. If I had ordered these for her, it wouldn't end up pretty in the end!
That fried rice looks 💣!!
Nope. Those stains and chips would bother me as well. This set is way too delicate for my liking
Yeah I have the beautiful silver color and I know the stains are a huge pain but still best pan I have ever bought as it should be though because they are crazy expensive
Wow came here for a review but I’m gonna have to sub for more recipes
That’s a bummer, I’m considering buying some. I was looking at the cream but like you said maybe a darker color would be better
Thank you! I've been wondering how the cream color would hold up.
I get her point however my whole reason to buy these is they are the only true non toxic pans I have found. So they may still be worth it for me. I just won’t get the white haha
Wow I was about to buy these.
