Same, when i started driving the Van in The Killing Moon this song started playing, thought its scripted but i watched footage of people playing that mission without the song, idk if they turned the radio off or in game music
This started playing while driving So-Mi to the spaceport at the end of Phantom Liberty. I normally drive in third person but I chose not to here. The city streets at night, the rain on the windscreen and this song really allowed a moment of reflection after everything that happened. What a masterpiece of storytelling.
I was playing today, and i was going though the phone and wondered what happens if you call Jackie, this song started playing, the phone rang and went to voice mail, rain was going on at the time too, then V starts talking to Jackie about wondering where he is with his voice shaking, that whole moment made me shed tears, it reminded me of a best friend of mine that died in 2012
It's so strange how I literally never heard this song before in the game until I took So Mi to the spaceport. I was instantly hooked by it, it fits perfectly.
You're right but the most interesting thing for me is that in the trailer of new cyberpunk dlc CD projects used the same weird sound in the beginning that in this track
HEY! Don't Scroll Down!!!! If you heard this on the radio like I did, be warned, people are talking about Phantom Liberty spoilers in the comments! If you haven't played it yet, but enjoy the track and DO NOT SCROLL ANY FURTHER!!!

I'm not sure if there is a separate genre of such music. But songs with a similar mood can be found in bands, who playing alternative metal or industrial. Funny song. While most of the people think cyberpuke has good music, I don't really think so regarding all of what plays on radios. This one I like tho. And this is strange because I'm more into some hard, fast music. This is neither but I still prefer it over 99% of other cyberpuke radio music
I heard this play when I was driving So Mi to the airport at the end of Phantom Liberty. It felt like such a fitting song, I had to look it up ASAP.
MUST be scripted!

I believe it is scripted. I played trough the dlc twice now with this song playing during that ride.
