The whole level design around this scene is superb. The lead up to it with some exciting spy thriller stealth infiltration, the ball with all sorts of high profile figures many of whom probably want to kill you, the view of Night City, then this beautiful spectacle, the surprise conversation with Hansen, Reed's mental breakdown after and Idris Elba's acting, the roulette game with the Cassel twins, then being escorted out and booed by the guards you fooled. Just 11/10, no notes.
I lost it at the realization of the game devs actually accounting for the almost indiscernible lag between Lizzy's actions and the "projection" effects around her provided by in-game/in-universe computers for the scripted play. Totally forgot I was playing a first person video game, rather than seeing a live concert.
Yeah. It felt very existential and lonely to me. Vs trying to find a way to survive. No one else (except songbird maybe, I havent finished PL) understands what Vs going through. Having your brain written over. Trying not to lose who they are. Just trying to find hope for a cure or a way out. V just got a bit of hope from Songbird but it's marred by doubts and unanswered questions. She walks away and leaves V alone with the weight of it all. Then this happens and it just underscores it all. It took me by surprise and hit super hard.
Honestly, I think this scene is the most normal V's life will ever be. My V stuck around to watch the whole concert, because I honestly felt like she could forget about everything. That she's dying, that she's a pawn being played by So-mi and Reed. She was able to forget about all of it and just enjoy a banging concert.
I wish I could experience this for the first time again, I was truly star struck. "Go find Reed at the bar"... hmm no, sorry Reed it's gonna have to wait.
I never stop and stare at suff that isnt story driven, but this I watched the whole thing upstairs where we meet songbird and had a jaw dropping moment.
Remember that scene in the 5th Element where Bruce Willis watches the Diva. This is that in the most awesome video game ever. I'm an old guy, don't follow current music but now love Grime's work.
People who refuse to go through this game still because of it's bad launch are like cave people refusing to learn how to make fire, meanwhile the rest of us get to witness an art masterpiece in the making, not without mentioning the people in the community taking it to the next level, much love to the modders and CDPR, for not giving up on this game and allowing the community to thrive.
Or it could be that cdpr burnt that bridge with all their lies and some people stick with their conviction which is commendable. Straight up I won't buy another game by cdpr after the whole cyberpunk fiscal and that's out of principle.

@@Goro69 What I meant when I said that was not that the narrative wasn't good by any means. Experiencing this the first time drew my attention unlike another game had in a long time. I find nowadays my attention and care for things I used to love drifts so easily and it always disturbs me. It’s like a switch flipped and I felt physically present in the setting of this song performance. What a surreal thing to try to explain to anyone else. Deeply emotional. Delicate weapon.
This really feels like a magic moment in the game. You have met the singer, you visit the incredibly decadent, yet beautiful party, and then this happens. For some reason it feels like it is just within the technical boundaries of that era, and it is really memorable.
The craziest part to me is that the devs actually made Lizzy Wizzy's Character model jiggle in the holographic web when the spider was walking around her.
Thanks for the upload - even with the BD being delivered to my apartment, this moment is worth viewing again and again. What an awesome experience the Black Sapphire was.

Playing a couple other games at the moment but after I’ll be playing Phantom Liberty again and will be sure to make a save before this concert!
This came out of the blue for me.... This is beyond movie material. Full fledged Hollywood production. Visuals were gorgeous. Replayed this concert over and over during my play through. Thank you for uploading these great angles!
In a year like 2023 where one AAA game is even more lacklustre than the other, I'm glad that CP2077 managed to get its name saved by Phantom Liberty. I took the time to watch this performance in the game and honestly it was just stunning, entrancing. No video of it on YT does it any justice. Just fades compared to actually experiencing it in the game on the highest possible settings. Truly a masterpiece.

Absolutely, the original float scene with Hanako singing was a trial run for this. It worked. I don't know how they knew I enjoyed watching it, but with this, they doubled down on it, took it back, squared it, decided it was not enough, rewired it and made it 8 times as good.

Yep, or just blindly bandwagoned the hate train because it’s popular. One of the most stellar games ive ever played in my life. I love cyberpunk
@@hoesmad8035pretty much all the hate was justified back then. Just like all the praise is justified now
@@kidnamedfinger2840 I don't think that all the hate was justified, at least not for PC players. I had a somewhat mediocre PC back then and played the game without any issues or game breaking bugs on Full HD in Ultra. And I know plenty of others with a similar experience. The game was complete crap on consoles and the marketing hype train was terrible in retrospect. Many of the promised elements weren't in the base game originally. However, the world, stories, characters and overall atmosphere was exactly what I wanted from a Cyberpunk game, even back in 2020. And I'm not a fanboy, CDPR deserves all the criticism that is out there. Nevertheless, I refuse to believe that I'm part of a small exclusive group who enjoyed the game from the start and now has an even more stellar time with the update and DLC. I prefer Cyberpunk over a generic Ubisoft or EA game at anytime, despite the lies and issues
@@kidnamedfinger2840 It's still buggy as shit, the AI is dumber than rocks, and there are still some pretty serious performance issues that need to be fixed.

the voice, the music, the scene, the story told through the cinematic of the song, the actress and how she is dressed, everything is a piece of art in that song ! It could get through the charts, it's a quality you could have in a big show
TRUTH!!
Honestly shut up 😂
The actress is Grimes herself.
I literally shed a tear, it was so beautiful. I fucking love video games!
I fucking love CDPR and Cyberpunk!
"We love you, CDPR!" we all say in unison
I was absolutely mesmerized by this scene. Amazing job CDPR! I cannot get enough of this performance.
Me too
Me too!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn’t believe this scene when it happened in Phantom Liberty. It was definitely one of those moments in a video game that you remember for a long time.
I can't believe this is so underrated. Man this hits so much harder during the game. Makes you feel that the world is alive as much as real
Just 11/10, no notes.
regarding guards booting me out, i have obliterated whole lobby on my way out, the soldier didnt even finished his first word at the elevator.
This whole expansion feels like an awesome futuristic version of Casino Royale
@@DCCoreDrive yea that part of the game was super fun, i let him finish his arrogance first though then everyone dies!
It's completely absurd that this is just random optional thing that you can stay and watch.
I lost it at the realization of the game devs actually accounting for the almost indiscernible lag between Lizzy's actions and the "projection" effects around her provided by in-game/in-universe computers for the scripted play. Totally forgot I was playing a first person video game, rather than seeing a live concert.
What a time to be alive.
Grimes really belongs in this world
She's so dope
i dont know why but for a short moment when you're fully trapped in this performance you feel so very alone and lost
I know exactly what you mean.
@wd3987you are alone in the mission “somewhat damaged”
Honestly, I think this scene is the most normal V's life will ever be. My V stuck around to watch the whole concert, because I honestly felt like she could forget about everything. That she's dying, that she's a pawn being played by So-mi and Reed.
She was able to forget about all of it and just enjoy a banging concert.
A whole ass concert in game is crazy felt like I was actually there
I wish I could experience this for the first time again, I was truly star struck. "Go find Reed at the bar"... hmm no, sorry Reed it's gonna have to wait.
This is Lizzy MFin' Wizzy, Reed!
Phantom Liberty was one of the best experience.
I only wish it was 5x longer 😭 i could spend hours on hours in this universe they built
I never stop and stare at suff that isnt story driven, but this I watched the whole thing upstairs where we meet songbird and had a jaw dropping moment.
yup watched almost all of it. was absolutely enthralling.
Remember that scene in the 5th Element where Bruce Willis watches the Diva. This is that in the most awesome video game ever.

@@newnamesameperson397 lol that's a sad way of living if every negative experience gets that sort of reaction out of you, while the game at launch wasn't good by any measure this expansion showed they still have the capability to make good games, don't know what you're still mad about tbh
@@magicalmagicmagician5223 do you remember how Witcher 3 launched? That was strike one. Cyberpunk was 2 and there will be no 3. Don't care that they eventually fixed both games, they shouldn't have launched in such broken and unplayable states.
I hate that we are at a point that companies just release broken and unfinished projects and people have the expectation that one day eventually they will fix them. If cdpr had of released Cyberpunk as it is currently I wouldn't mind the minor bugs that it still has but man that launch was beyond anything playable (I was on Xbox one at the time and all the marketing made it seem like the game was being tailored for consoles)

@@yankokolev53 good for you, I don't like getting incomplete things and having the expectation that eventually they'll get fix. Also I don't get why you say "unfinished"? The game was literally unfinished since it was broken at launch. I love how Lizzy's stage visuals indirectly tell the entire story from Songbird perspective from beginning to end without us even knowing

NGL, the second I realized Lizzy was doing a performance, I stopped what I was doing and listened. You just don't ignore good music like this.
Has there ever been a greater stage exit than this? A holographic falling star and explosion, where Lizzy goes through the floor opening is pretty damn creative.

Well... Every singer can't be good at writing lyrics, for sure.
@@FredAureus it's actually pretty good if you try and understand the lyrics. The music and beat is pretty chill but the lyrics are somehow correlated to gaslighting. She's saying she doesn't make it easy for him but at the ending part says he was gaslighting her.
wheres the part where she says 'catch a crab'?
I literally cannot hear but maybe 4 words through the whole song - there is no enunciation that makes it through the autotune. It's still beautiful, but I am very impressed you got the words out of it.

When that song started playing I was so shocked. That song has a special place in my heart! That was the best moment I had in cyberpunk
Narrative aside, This was definitely one of my favorite moments in the phantom liberty. This part just had me in awe. I can't wait to see what Cyberpunk 2 brings us in 20 years.. when im old as hell 😅
narrative aside?!?!, it' such a good story, depending of which ending you get, there are 4 endings, and if you choose to help So Mi and refuse Solomon reed offer, you cut the DLC literally in half, and miss so many things. Someone doesn't know how RPG's works.
@@Goro69 What I meant when I said that was not that the narrative wasn't good by any means. The story is the best part but besides that, seeing Lizzy perform and getting to have a conversation with her after the fact was much appreciated by me personally. It was a mind-blowing moment. If you finish Violence before you do this, she has a pretty decent conversation with you and gives you her BD wreath that she wore on stage. The writers for this game deserve some kind of award man

This is why I love CDPR. They didn't need to make this, but they did, because its simply awesome and immersive.

There are moments in video games that you never forget and it happens in every few years only. This is one of them.

Imagine if CDPR actually did concerts where the real performers of the songs could have mocapped stuff in game you could attend. Would be a great take if you could attend an in game concert for the songs you love from the Radio.

This scene was just mesmerizing, jaw-dropping gorgeous. I loved it! Same with the float scene, where Hanako sings and you can lean on the balcony and listen, forget the Netrunner and Oda 😂
The dialogue with Lizzy after the concert is a bit weird though... V basically asks what Lizzy is doing here?? I wish we could have told her... Wow awesome concert lol
Absolutely, the original float scene with Hanako singing was a trial run for this. It worked. I don't know how they knew I enjoyed watching it, but with this, they doubled down on it, took it back, squared it, decided it was not enough, rewired it and made it 8 times as good.
this deserves a LOT more views. I was thinking of doing a 4k capture myself but I couldn't do it any better with the free camera and cut.
