I had a piano when I was 12, I gave up playing because sheet music was too hard. Now I am 23 and started again, only on a virtual piano as I am an international student and cannot afford to buy one. But your videos are so easy to follow and actually give me the confidence that I can do this. Thank you.

I'm kind of having trouble speeding up the melody. Any advice, please?
Use a metronome! You can use a real one or download a digital one. Start the metronome a little slower than you are comfortable with, play the part, and start increasing the speed one notch at a time. Every day begin again at the slower tempo, and try to work up to the faster pace. Learn to play it a bit faster than the actual tempo. This way it will be a breeze for you to play it at the actual speed. Make note of the first tempo at which your playing becomes a little sloppier, and each day strive to correct the sloppiness at that tempo level. You'll be playing the part with ease in no time at all.

just start very slowly until you can play it without mistakes and the go a little bit faster
You can slowing the speed of the video ( any lessons) so you can follow the teacher easier when playing with him or her.
Click at the 3 dots , top right side of the video. Choose the speed you want. It works for me . NBG
Watched part one last night woke up and practiced, thank you for part two
I thought I did leave a thank you note soon as I finished studying this tutorial's series end of September 2021.. I also self-studied the guitar with many RUclips teachers for 6 years but can only retain the basics, which experience somehow helped me in learning the piano I guess..
Half a year again has passed and I've since learned 4 more very interesting piano pieces/songs, but Fur Elise taught by Dr. Steve Warner will always be my forever obliged one. Even if I had 'said' it before, please accept my sincere, heartfelt and tremendously grateful thanks!
