Besides Ren, who's exceptional, I think James Blunt deserves a closer look and appreciation. You should check out these: No Bravery (Official Music Video), Carry You Home (Official Music Video). You got a new subscriber, I like your approach to the task, first listen, absorb, look, and then react and elaborate. Thanks!
I think you're right, I never hear any news or anyone mention James Blunt. I appreciate your kind words and suggestions, will add them to my list. Welcome aboard, glad to have ya!
@@GeorgeTheCloud I would add Goodbye my lover, Monsters, Same Mistake. James may not have had the same success as Youre Beautiful again, but arguably the amount of success he had there didnt help him, as it was everywhere and became parodied and a bit ridiculed. Many of James Blunts songs are based on real events in his life.
Yeah that's what I figured, he seemed very emotional in this music video. Very unfortunate that this happened to him, he seems like a wholesome person. Welcome to the Channel!
James Blunt has recently become one of my top favourite singers... just because of songs like this. As you say, it is about real things and relatable emotions. Another artist that I discovered about the same time is Ren. If you haven't already seen his "Hi Ren" I would suggest you check it out along with "Sick Boy". Ren talk about real issues that he's dealt with personally in a very raw and honest way. I believe he is one of the rising stars in music and his album was just recently nr 1 on the UK charts. (Impressive since he's independent and has zero promotion aside from his own social media.)
Hi there, thanks for your support. To me it was surprising to see James Blunt again because I hadn't seen him in like 15 years and I think he became underrated somehow and people don't talk about himn enough. And I actually have reacted to Ren, I learned about him just recently and his music has blown my mind. He has a lot of supporters and the community is very helpful and kind. Be sure to checkout my Ren reactions, I have a dedicated Playlist for him. Welcome to the Channel!
I love James Blunt despite his music making me cry a lot. He makes up for it on Twitter and in his interviews by being hilarious though. I agree with the people recommending No Bravery and Carry You Home about his time in Kosovo with the British military. No Bravery even has his actual footage from Kosovo in it. Monsters is also a great suggestion. ✌️&❤️
I haven't heard much from James Blunt at all, only remember You're Beautiful from 20 years ago and this song. So far he seems very emotional and his voice suits him well for these types of songs were he expresses feelings for something sad that happens. But like you said, he could be completely different in other settings. Will have to checkout the suggestions you made, and from what I've seen he's been putting out a lot of tracks lately, not sure if they are new songs or re-uploads from before. Has he been active all this time, like the past 20 years? I'm still so surprised that I haven't heard anything about him from any sources.
@@GeorgeTheCloudYou're Beautiful was on his first album he put out in the early 2000's and it was played everywhere. I remember that one and Goodbye My Lover from that album. Idk if those songs were so overplayed people here in the US were over it or what cuz I'm like you... I remember those songs and then nothing for years. Then I heard a cover of Monsters a few months ago and found out it was his song so I went down the James Blunt rabbit hole for a few days to catch up and I'm glad I did. He's gained me as a fan for sure. I spent one whole afternoon binge watching interviews he's done and reading through his Twitter where he kind of trolls the trolls when people say mean things about him. One of my favorites was when someone tweeted that James Blunt 's sings like his Willy's being stepped on and James replied, "Damn thing's always getting caught under my feet." 😂 He just released his newest album on 10-27 and had a book release 10-26 so that's why you're suddenly seeing him again. ✌️&❤️
Wow thanks for catching me up. When you said 'Goodbye My Lover' I instantly thought of Michael from The Office singing that lol. James Blunt seems to be someone who was bullied a lot, maybe it's his tender voice and his emotional lyrics. But I'm glad he's a good sport when people make fun of him. He seems fragile and we should protect him at all costs.
You need to check all if his songs out. He is an exceptional artist. You are beautiful is a good song but in my opinion most if his songs are even better. He has true talent and managed to remain humble and down to earth.
James has been recording continually since You're Beautiful and has sold many many albums. You should check him out. :) This song is the story of their first baby which ended in a miscarraige. They now have two healthy sons. Can I suggest Monsters, No Bravery, and Carry You Home, as a complete contrast to the early love songs. Sad, but beautiful poetry. He writes a lot about events in his own life. All the above are about him.
Hi Christine, thanks for your comment and suggestions! I actually have a James Blunt playlist and have reacted to some of the videos you mentioned in case you want to check them out!
George, James Blunt has a talent to weave his emotions like ribbons through the lyrics of his songs. He has become one of the top artists I listen to now. He wrote Monsters when his father was dying of renal failure. After the song, his Dad was given a transplant and is well. The Girl That Never Was was from personal experience. I also love his Face the Sun. I love Ed Sheeran too and recently I saw a video where he was singing with Foy Vance a song called Guiding Light. It’s emotional and very touching. If you have a chance to listen to it, I highly recommend it. Thank you, Brenda P ❤ new subscriber
Hi Brenda, thanks so much for your kind words and your suggestions, will add to the list. I agree completely with your description of Jame's songs. Welcome to the Channel!
Consider listening to Eva Cassidy - a name you will probably not recognize but once you have heard her voice - you will not forget. She was a beautiful singer and guitarist but was not with us long enough for all the world to know her voice and her artistry. She has a version of Over the Rainbow that you will feel in a way that I think no other version can provoke

I've heard 3 interviews with James & he said it was a personal story.

Boy, where have you been?
I was lost but now I see the light.
Miscarriages are so common and yet ... not really acknowledged as common. I hope this is helpful to couples who have had this experience
