Today we're having a look at one of the "newer" weapons added to Warframe, the Kuva Sobek. We'll have a introductory level build and two high level builds based on the same progenitor. To clarify things further, we will also have a short section the best progenitors or element to have on your Kuva Sobek.
Will wrap everything up with a final conclusion and recommendation for the weapon and the build.

I think it's ironic since it adds some level of class in what is considered in the game's canon a "savage" weapon since it is of grineer make and they are considered savage
Hey Leyzar, suggestion here.
Wouldn't be better to have a section on the video to show the weapon full potential without any external buffs, like the sentinel or nourish or warframe arcanes, for example?
When you show the full potential, that's cool but it is kinda strict, build wise.
I like to use a lot of different warframes and companions, so most of the time I'll not have the external buffs that you show.
I would like to know how strong the weapon is by itself and what is the least I can expect from it independently from the situation.

How about end game builds without rivens, as most players don’t have a Sobek riven? That would be really helpful! 💗
Honestly im a tad sad about this its a great shotgun with a nice stat bump but not giving it a altfire gimmic is such a wasted potential since having it in the kuva system removes the chance of it becoming a incarn since i dont see them allowing it to stack together. But still nice seeing it not be forgotten.
If you only want sobek for saryn
It’s probably best to go cold
I’d reason that it’s probably cause saryn stacks a lot of toxin already so another mod would be better
With this you’d be able to free a mod slot for the new augment
Though toxin is still a good choice as well.
Toxic lash doesn't combine with weapon elements

That nightwave augment is basicaly galvanized hell and galvanized savvy (only status chance portion) in one mod at less maximum values...

due to magnetic dealing more damage on overguard

I have 4 rivens to try out on this
Tbh though on average corpus are more problematic to kill in my experience than grineer and murmur any day. This all said I feel like others may share it come enemy shield updates. Problem with grineer is they are closer to the infested in terms of tactical capacity, corpus are more tactically oriented and so they are more problematic and they spawn adds a lot of adds.

I've been enjoying Gas for Saryn. Probably not optimal, but it is fun

It is one of the best. Remind you that kuva hek can use mod + 200% multishot now and its riven has dispo 3/5.
Sobek is the best( in theory) due to the newest aug mod( which we dont have now)

I really do wish that Tenet and Kuva variation weapon will have the same power of incarnon weapon. I am deeply sadden that my beloved 60% kuva zarr and brama, with rivens that i rolled 100+ times to get what I need, are now utterly garbage compared to my incarnon burston prime. I hope DE bring back self-damage from explosive weapon and revert the nerf to them. Let us play around the negative aspects of them, and rewarded by doing so.
Self damage is so negligible it wouldnt even be a negative lmao. I dont understand you are running out of ammo? I run vigilant and ammo mutation and have no problem. Plus the bleed damage on zarr is still really lethal.
@@jaketheman1577 It is a negative, albeit not in such a way that will completely ruin the entire game, but still somewhat something that needs to be play around with. Having have to run both vigilante in exilus and ammo mutation is exactly the nerf. The risk of self-damage that can easily stagger you, eating your shield-gating proc, or accidentally kill your-self in a mission is the tradeoff in using explosive weapons like Zarr or Brama and in return you get a powerful aoe weapon that can easily annihilate enemy with blast / element / slash proc with a healthy ammo reserve that can stand on its own with only ammo mod in exilus mod. Outside Murmur Steel Path, they still annihilate enemies, but reverting the ammo nerf and even buffing them, be it better ammo reserve or even a slight damage buff / riven dispo increase will make them able to be considered to be used, at least for me, than incarnon weapon. Incarnon Latron / Strun / Miter / Torid completely beat the old generation of AoE weapons, they have better ammo reserve, immensely higher damage, better usability, and the tradeoff is not anywhere near the level of self-stagger or ammunition reserve.

I'm gonna say it. Non incarnon strun prime is better than the new sobek. I love the sobek don't get me wrong but the multishot potential on the strun gives it the edge for me.

Did I miss the part where he went in depth with all the Warframe synergies with Acid Shells? It's the entire f--king point of choosing this weapon?!
Its not and if you don't like it pretty much everyone else already got a build for what you want so why complain here.
The point is to have decent Sobek outside of Saryn gimmick.

Can you do a video about Kuva kraken? I wanna know if impact + hemorrhage can out dps a standards corrosive heat build.
Other than mastery or collection purposes, taking disposition into account, is there really any reason to choose kuva sobek over regular sobek if you have a powerful riven?

At MR24 you can reach the halfway point for possible MR currently, 16 is low
