Today we're having a look at the new damage and resistances brought to Warframe with the Jade Shadows Update. The Meta has shifted and builds have to be changed in order to maintain maximum damage.

Since the companions rework
I love that there are so many neutral damage type now, it used to vary so heavily so you were either doing well or poorly. Now there’s enough neutral damage types that you’re bound to be doing ok no matter the circumstances, it’s more about the status effects than the damage type which is great.
also there seems to be no more than one element that performs worse for each faction (as far as i know, i hope i didn't miss anything), so you can put for example viral damage just for procs and add radiation or electric to the weapon for damage when you go against murmur. I had fun today when i took amprex for netracell missions.
I agree. So much healthier for the game. I like the new system a lot. Simple and easy to understand.
No no really your so called """""NEUTRAL"""""" damage types does horribly against one or two factions each gives 0.5 damage multiplier i can say it's pretty bad so you do half of the damage and now inside the factinos there are units that needs different damage to kil it effectively and the machinery of that faction and the amalgams of that faction.... You need a shitton of different effect with you all the time you need a full loadout if you don't want to change up in every fknig time you finish a mission and start another....

You can also go to the star chart and hovering over the mission you want to do will display the strengths and weaknesses of the faction inhabiting the node.
Magnetic & Toxin together is pretty overkill but slays Corpus with ease, both their health & shields are erased with just one tap/3sec hold. Also glad you're feeling better dude 👍
True but magnetic will help in dealing with nullifyers and eximus units

Now that we have a miniature version of the "Arsenal" in the navigation menu, only laziness prevents someone from diversifying.

@@maszkalman3676 There is a button to go to the mods screen above the config listings. The only thing the modding menu on the navigation screen can't do is level up mods. Other than that, you can open the config screen and name/fully mod each config.
@@maszkalman3676when you click the item, there's a "mod" button between "swap" and the configs that opens the modding screen. Can't level mods from there, but can mod and name configs same as the arsenal.

Yea, it's fucking ridiculous how I finally have perfect builds for some frames and weapons. And now I have to rework EVERYTHING. Its bullshit and why I quit Warframe besides the forced Pride bullshit
I just use a boltor with blast, because, having the only subfaction that resist the element locked into one planet, and on top of being the new risen hero of elemental damage, yeah i can finally live my dream of having explosive bullets with my favorite guns.

Honestly kinda liked the old system because it was so convoluted that I didn't care, now it kinda bothers me that most of my mesa's damage hits like a wet noodle against sentients, and that flying Mesa is gonna at base hit kuva units like she's throwing nerds instead of rocks

Subre Leyzar back at it again with a wonderful guide about damage resistances and vulnerabilities. Im glad DE decided to simplify it for us. To think it took them this long 😅
I've been having a great time with messing around with elements on my weapons this week. Corrosive/Blast is great fun, Magnetic/Heat on a hybrid Atomos Incarnon is a great universal sidearm, with the Magnetic tearing through Overguard and Shields, and Heat doing a respectable number on armour now. And don't get me started on what those new Elementalist mods do for Saryn (and on the Sobek...as if it wasn't nuts before). I love that we really have options now. Great update.
So do you think it's worth buying 2 extra loadout slots (total of 5) on all the weapons you use just so you have a set for each faction?
for things you use often like incarnon torrid definately - its just 20plat that's like 2 trades tops
My current favorite new weapon is Incarnon Synoid Gammacor, stacking cold damage on magnetic with Secondary Fortifier against Eximus so they insta-freeze on strip, then murdering them with the extra critical damage.
Yeah it's a sleeper for sure... don't know if its also been buffed or what but when I've taken it out lately it just melts.
Tried using blast on a weapon and i just wasnt doing enough to warrant the switch. Will be keeping viral/slash

Leyzar can you please do a follow up video or clarification for some unique enemy factions now like Acolytes, Archon, Profit Taker, etc... That'd be really helpful.
Funnily enough, I thought that the way it is now is the way it always has been so I built towards that anyways lol. Oh well. xD. Thanks for the update haha. At least this way I can do what I always wanted to do with my weapons, have a couple versitile ones, and build the others towards "I'm going to be fighting X" with that weapon. and I LOVE that.

i wish i could fully experience gaming warframe on a good pc all i need is a better psu and gpu im literally playing warframe on a 790 optiplex with a 550 ti 1gb vram T_T i swear it everytime i watch your videos and the way warframe looks i get jealous lmao

back in my day all you really needed to know was gas and slash. that would carry you pretty much anywhere
I will be very honest, viral is even more powerful now, because armor has been capped at 90% reduction, they increased HP by 90%, so those stacks of viral are now more important, before when you strip armor the enemy only had a small HP and perished quickly, now even if you strip it, there is 90% more health, before one stack of viral was enough to double damage, but now having the whole 325% is ideal, even if the enemy takes half damage of viral, 325 x 0.5 = 162% damage, pretty good.
Taking this change in armor, a lot of weapons and arcanes that suffered by armor are more reliable now, take arcane empowered with its 750 damage matching, even at 90% armor it will do 75 damage, and so many secondarys dont get number as base or even higher with mods, so those can be used for fun, meta weapons are still strongest, but now we can use our Meme weapon with ease, even the infame IPS is now neutral to most and is not "lost damage" anymore.
I've been putting blast on everything cause it feels too fun.
Magnetic is also satisfying because of the electric procs when you destroy a shield or overguard.
My new "all rounder" favorite element however is electric, because it isn't weak against anything and melts the murmur.
Doesn't blast really only work well if you can get 10 stacks before the target dies?
@@maxfieldstewart7363no I believe if you do 10 stacks it explodes instantly and if it’s less it explodes after 1.5 secs
New blast plus the orange shards is really nice, easy health or shields and it stacks with arcane blessings so even more health
Hey Leyzar - i am returning after 3 years. can you please give me a guide that i can follow to "complete" the game? It seems i am lacking of different stuff in any part of the game (arcanes, amalgan mods?, these crystal shards, new weapons).
would be great if you can tell that you do "this" that you can farm "this" better etc. i feeling overwhelmed and if i am look for a guide for a frame or a weapon it seems i need to do 5 other things to get stuff for the guide. and how can i unlock the think that eats warframes?

Still confused why they swapped puncture and impact on grineer and corpus, puncture into armor made sense, and grineer having impact weapons to fight corpus and corpus having puncture weapons to fight grineer made sense too.

anyway, since the other guy was no help; i suggest looking at the warframe wiki. it lists all simulacrum scenes and how to get them.
New with Jade Shadows, all the main syndicates have their own simulacrums

The best gem I found in this update so far is the kunai incarnon with secondary shiver as the arcane. Using it on frost, even a budget build can spam multi million damage auto aim headshots.

What about bosses with so they are a bit different I do what is required and some bosses are just way powerful even torrid has issues

I simply changed everything to status based builds. Corrosive + Radiation + Cold + Slash (Hunter Munitions). It just melts any faction. No need to faction mods or change builds for specific missions. Easy peasy.
And kit guns are pretty much one trick pony junk now.

Hi! Does hunter mumu + viral builds are still good?
mobs have more hp, soo , slash builds are a little bit nerfed since the procs take more time to kill the mob
I use it on my torid and still do very well, but I also use Garuda with her 100% damage passive and one Tauforged Red shard for Primary Status Chance
(also casual 4.9 million damage LMAO)
Ok but what if I absolutely despise constantly flipping mods to match the faction I'm going to fight and I just want to play the game?

whats your riven mod stats in the torid build
EG for a fun time, if you have a Magnetic Tenet Agendus, throw Gas and Electric on it with Melee Influence. Its gone from being a near-bench weapon until I could be bothered to farm enough to get a good element, to being the single strongest melee I have. (Note that the sword+shield stance has some nice forced slash procs that make it extra juicy)
Also, try a (Heat-based, in my case) Tenet Arca Plasmor, building for Humu+Gas+Cold for primary frostbite.
One positive about this update that I feel most overlook is just the overall buff almost EVERY weapon received. Really nothing was nerfed and all the lower weapons have gotten emmisly better
I came back after like a year and a half and was SUPER confused what was going on with the resistanced and why i suddenly dropped from full to death within seconds against enemies that i knew I could beat without even looking at them.
This answers one of those things. I am assuming changes was made to player warframes as well but I cannot seem to find it anywhere, must be tied to the resistances and elemental changes.
It did make me quit again though, until there is any info to go from on what happened to warframes and why they are so squishy now.
On your note of Magnetic, you can combine it with Xata's Whisper/Silence (both if you play Banshee or Xaku) and make hilarious work of Exiums units. Add in Null Audit and the new Secondary Fortifier arcane and you can turn Eximus units into survival tools for squishier frames.
After extensive testing, Viral + Heat (vs Armor) and Viral + Electricity (vs anything elese) are still king. Even Corrosive falls short, but Magnetic got pretty good due to dmg to overguard.
They still need to do adjustments to the new system, most elements remain pretty useless or niche.
I just use Saryn with my tenet glaxion 😅. My favorite build I came up with allows me to deal corrosion, gas, cold, toxin, and magnetic damage types. I don’t even need to slap viral stacks on enemies anymore 🤣🤣🤣

I have noticed something a bit frustrating while playing Xaku recently. it is now absolutely crucial that you get the Xata's Whisper bubble proc on a head shot otherwise your damage will tank. I noticed that while playing the Xaku with Boltor Prime Incarnon which tends to spray it's projectiles in Incarnon mode. The HP of enemies goes down super fast until the bubble pops on a part that is not the head, then it takes noticably longer to reduce the HP bar to 0, like hitting a wall. It's almost better to not use Xata's Whisper if you have a low accuracy weapon. Might also be a buggy interaction with the bubble?!

Something I'd like to see out of the channel is a bit more variation in the types of Warframe buffs you show off, I've only ever seen you use Harrow or Lady Mirage Prime for that portion of the builds video.
Left the game cause it basically turned into 'what nuke color and pretty lights do you want'. Is cc fun and useful again, or is it the stale nuke still?
