Drove diesels in Alaska down to -68°, just need to prep them properly. Covering the radiator, proper anti-freeze ratio, Clean heater core, #1 diesel along with some anti-gel.
I travel in the winter and will not have access at times to a place to plug it in - so i think this may be an issue. What do you do if you are parked away from home with no close electrical?
Broh she'll start fine without it plugged in, but if you want the best for your truck you'll find a place to plug in, but she'll be minty without a plug
I just got a 2017 6.7 cummings that I am picking up soon.My wife is worried about our electric bill going up from plunging it in? Have you noticed a difference in the bill?
plug it in, then leave the cord unplugged in the garage. when you get up, go out in the garage and plug in that cord and engine will be unfroze when you go to start it an hour later.
+Justin Taylor I let it idle a bit. Sometimes i unplug it while idling, sometimes I don't. In the morning I let it idle as long as it takes to get the kids loaded up. If I'm not loading them I'll only idle it a minute or so

Can’t start my 2005 f350. It’s -12 right now in BC Canada. And yes it’s been plugged in all month
Dang you got something going out on the truck, probably glow plugs or too thick of oil, what oil do you use?
I don't have any problems with my 6.0 in winter, but it hasn't been below 10 degrees f
...runs stop sign at 2:30
Good spot
in canada, we call that an american stop. no need to stop completely
If you live somewhere with complete visibility and there are -5 people on the road then youre good

Carry a small generator or install a webasto heater.

Nice stop lol
And fuel additive!
What is a dee-sell?
Worst thing for a diesel is to drive it and not let it get to operating temp, then shutting it off.
Not supposed to start it with it plugged in. Guess you didn't read your Manual.
