- The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is a big departure from the bike it replaces. And after spending quality time with it in its natural habitat, Rishaad Mody believes the final product is greater than the sum of all its new parts.

I am a proud owner of RE350 Hunter. Waiting for the Scram 450. You Indians make the best bikes money can buy. Love from Thailand
Scram 450 would be amazing!
Loved your thoughts 😊 love from India too for Thailand ❤
RE creating its own world 🌍
The only design problem I see here with new Himalayan is the placement of front number plates guys will now get speeding tickets 😂😂
Very responsible comment
Kay bhava tuzha navin video kadhi yenar
Yeah, that might be a deal breaker for a few 😂
Yeah real problem with me too on my Scram. 3 tickets already.
Where it should be?
Royal Enfield have truely redefined the adventure tourer landscape!
Don’t know about that. But it looks pretty bloody good.

Such a poetic review ❤ .
Kudos to you .
This is my 3 Rd comment , still can't get over it .
I personally think this bike is a finisher for its competitors. It's definitely better than the Adv 390 (especially considering the pricing) and really close to the triumph scrambler but I think many people would prefer this because of its excellent dealership and service network.
400X and this are aimed at different markets.
It definitely looks better built than the KTM 390 & 250 adv’s
Right.. only RE❤
A bike with immense potential 💥💥
Autocar reviews are the best
Both RE And Rishaad at their best 🎉fantastic and feel good to watch.
Rishaad, such an epic review!
You absolutely nailed it effortlessly. Your passion for these incredible machines and motorsports, in general, is effortlessly portrayed through these first-ride impressions. Thank you for the spectacular evaluation.
Thanks for the feedback!
the best reviewer in India.
Your passion and appreciation for these majestic machines are infectious.
Greetings from Nepal

Thank you! Hope to ride in your country soon@@vagabond7204
Hello Autocar team
I am your oldest subscriber . I started reading your Magazine in 2011 when i was a kid now I'm 25 the quality of content is increased by a huge margin 🙂
Tbh I was tired of RE only making long stroke engines, I'm glad! that RE is making short stroke engines, I hope more bikes are in the pipeline on this platform, would love to see a Neo Retro Roadster.
With REs wide service network, and sensible pricing, these short stroke engines can really shoot RE to the Top. 🎉❤
Short stroke engine hu!. Well that's yet to be seen on real platform rather than on just paper....
@@user-ln7fw7ep3y isn't Himalayan 450 short stroke?
@@Vikrum_i think yes they increased the horse power
Watching an Autocar India video in 4k.. Intro and the overall shots and presentation.. Nothing but exquisite ❤️
Such a clean Review !! On Point!! Looks promising but yes base location test is equally important since most of the people would be using it for highway touring!! Great Job Rishabh 👏
Loving Rishaad's reviewing style. Consider the bike through all perspective and specially how he defined engine character. Made feel what it's like to ride the bike and I'm someone who doesn't like RE bikes lol.
Rishaad Mody. You truly make the videos so enjoyable
Rishad is so excited and passionate about motorcycles. It's nice to see😊
Amazingly put together review. Rishaad deserves the credit !!
The best insight so far about this bike and I've watch a lot....thanks
Great upgrade to the old Himalayan..
Lots of new features and tech coming in.
This will be the go to bike for all your rough road adventures at a price which won't pinch your wallet.
Just hope RE have maintained good quality control.
Finally a nice mature affordable motorcycle in the Indian market. I have ridden the KTM adventure 390 and own a duke 390 myself. When I rode the Himalayan back then it felt just more mature and neutral than the adventure 390 whose front end I could never feel (poor ergos to blame as well) so much so it became dangerous at times. The old Himalayan lacked braking power nd engine power, I hope this model has solved that issue well.
Guys if you're going adventure, test ride the new Himalayan before buying the 390 adventure. You'll be much more satisfied with every ride. Maybe the only motorcycle you'll ever need on our roads. Well done RE. I'm coming soon too 💪
The best review of the Himalayan I've seen. Kudos Autocar and Rishaad!
I think a brilliant bike , but an even better review. Amazing shots and very will reviewed by Rishaad .
Rishad and camera man as well as editors has done a great work, this video was so soothing and got lost into it. Great work .
Another thorough review! Thanks guys.
Rishaad Bro Trust me , the review was worth the wait. It feels like a personal achievement because I have an emotional connection with RE as I have owned only RE bikes till date and was apprehensive about how this product will turn out as I had said earlier. am happy that RE has come back with an exciting product which will again make it stand out and win. I am for sure buying it but once the cross spoke option becomes available. Absolutely love your review ❤
All? How?
@@venukrithish007 sorry if it sounded an exaggeration buddy but I have owned and only upgraded to RE s, had an electra to begin with, followed by a 2 nd gen classic then a 2 nd gen Himalayan and now I ride an interceptor 650. Hope I could explain 😊. Cheers and happy riding
@@TrustDCreator oh I thought you owned every RE 😛😂. Hopefully u get to own this one as well
@@venukrithish007yup my statement sounded a bit ambiguous I realised and edited as well. Thanks for pointing that out. Don’t have that tune of money bro 😊.
I am watching Itchy Boots channel where she is test riding it in India
Great visuals, edit, presentation what not!
Looks like an extremely promising product from RE! And even better was the way you reviewed it! Also the scenery really made me feel nostalgic and makes me gonan go back to those terrains again! 😂 Amazing work!
This review was worth waiting !.
A proper review.
I'm really glad Rishaad did this review.
Simple yet precise in details. The scenery and cinematography are top notch! Overall excellent production! Keep it coming folks 🙏🙏🙏🌈🌈🌈🍀🍀🍀
One of the best Autocar reviews ever!
Lovely bike review!! 👏👏
This is the best review of ANY bike I have seen in a very long time. Thank you.
This incredible motorcycle and incredible review we have waiting for a long long time . never a better time than Dhanterash
Excellent review of an excellent bike! Sweet!❤
Rishaad - really good review. Thanks man
Awesome review. Love his honesty in reviews.
Waited 10 days since you introduced the bike, thoroughly enjoyed the review. Thank you 🙏
Excellent Explanation... Video And Sound Effects Quality Just Wooow ❤... Keep Rocking
By far the best review of Himalayan 450. Good job.
That Gold on Black paint scheme is 🔥. I love my INT650. This might convince me to buy ANOTHER Royal Enfield when this comes to the USA.
nice comprehensive review....
enjoyed every second of this video.
Finally cinematic auto reviews
amazing review man
Beautifully filmed in magnificent terrain.
Clear, concise and informative narration.
Great bike. Great review.
Thank you.
❤ Thank you Bro you for clearing all my doubts, I am Buying it tomorrow.
yo bro .. m on duty inthe site and still couldnt resist to watch this ..
Great review. RE has really come leaps and bounds since I worked there in the mid noughties. Kudos!
Top quality review ❤
It was an amazing review ❤
Himalayan review at the Himalayas ! ❤ Such a poetic review
Thanks for the excellent review! Can't wait 'til this bike makes it Stateside...
brilliant presentation....
Amazing one! Keep up the good work 👍🏻
And thats a beautiful and detailed review keep doing like these
Kudos to Rishad for doin such a great job 👏👏
Good to see they have a normal looking seat and I do love the new modern look.
beautiful cinematography 💯💯💥💥🤌❤
I always look forward to your bike reviews..
RISHAAD..
So one thing nobody is talking about is the music used in intro. The base track is called "Call of the Mountians" By VABM but the editor has done a beautiful job by adding separate vocals on it. It sounds amazing
Impressive review, very well defined❤
awesome review mate.
Wonderful review..
Fantastic review Rishad! No wonder Autocar tops others in this space!! Just one question, if you were to pick between Himalayan 450 Vs the Twin cyl INT650, which one would it be? Which bike feels more special?
As a INT 650 owner I'll say buy this Himalayan. Interceptor is purely built and mostly enjoyable on expressways and good highway. Bad roads , slow highways & city commuting its just a painful experience due to its front heavy Layout.
@@nismostrada9433 interesting take! All the journos talk abt the purpose and specs and experience but no one's covering abt how special a bike is to own! Here the confusion is between the modern tech and design Himalayan has to offer Vs the proven twin cyl engine and timeless design of INT650. Purpose is not adventure riding at all infact, mayb some rare unpaved terrains that's it but mostly looking for a bike with unmatched road presence and riding feel!
@@nismostrada9433Same Here.
on the INT, the engine is the star and the chassis feels a bit large and basic. Here the chassis is as good, if not better than the engine. For me, 650 engine is more special, but Himalayan all round capability is higher.
@@RishaadMody1 hmm! Gotta test ride to see how good the chassis is on Himalayan! But that's the exact confusion I had! Whether the 650 twin cyl engine or all round capability 450 single cyl!
17:55 the most important update. Once the homologation is complete, hope the configurator lets you choose this over the tubed spokes as standard
fantastic work as always! and a great bike. Interested to see how they price it, given they're discontinuing the old model.
What a beautiful location to shoot
Big improvements...nice
an excellent review
I like how Autocar talks about old Himalayan problems which they never spoke about earlier, for obvious reasons!!
I have always and will doubt their reviews especially for big brands
If you watch our Himalayan vs Xpulse review from a few years back, you’ll see that I complained about the brakes and main stand there as well
great video
What a fantastic review. Hard selling in some areas; But we forgive you….. your presentation is spot on…. How the bike does, remains to be seen. Cheers
Brilliant review!! No wonder Autocar trumps the list when it comes to automotive reviewers 👌👌
Best RE himalayan 452 video
Excellent reviews by Autocar. I have been an ardent fan of Autocar since 1999.
WHY AM in love?????? I have a Duke, and this is the bike she wants as her sibling!
19:30 Reminds me of the response that Fujifilm started getting when they launched the XH2 bodies. They've earned the right to make bodies that suit a wider market.
fantastic bike fantastic review 👏
Long awaited bike +Autocar + Rishab modi = Pleased ❤😊
Scrambler vibes✨💝
Worth the wait...
Excellent stuff !! Just a quick question , which location has it been shot at ?
saagar would be impressed with the camera and hwo its shot, brilliant review and effort, as for the bike, i think RE has hit the spot almost
RE seems to have hit it out of the park with this one. 👍
Over to you Hero, where is the Xpulse 400?
Ordered mine yesterday...black/gold wirh tubeless wheels 😊
Autocar got the best poet in the town to review bike...:)
Itchy boots used pre-production version of this bike in her 'Return to India' series
Uff what a motorcycle ❤
RE should soon get Himalayan 648 twin cylinder engine with bump up of power and torque, for sure it would be game changer and long time keeper.
9:01. Oh myyy!! I was like CAREFUL CAREFUL
One of those off road trails where you really don’t want to look down 😅
My favorite one ❤️❤️❤️🔥😊
Thanks, looking forward to your comparison against the Scrambler 400X
Very sound Engineering and Uber Cool marketing. RE has us drooling over this one.
now the problem is chapris
Chapris won't buy it
Wow, what a location, what beautiful sceneries and wow what a fantastic review. The most gratifying 20 mins spent for the day. The review was classier than the bike itself.
Only nitpick would be that the torque curve image was very blur, couldn't make out the exact numbers, otherwise what an extensive review, your knowledge and experience just makes the whole video so involving. Great job Rishaad💪👏😎
😀🙏
Yeah I got mine today after a long waiting period (black gold) and finally a bike that perfectly suits my height, I raised the seat height and it’s comfy. First ride was great, waiting for the rally kit to be available now
How long was the waiting period?
Autocar finally on 4k.
This is good details..... quick question..as the frame is split and no down tubing and considering this bike will be stressed alot..will the engine head bolts take the stress from the frame? as the head unit is bolted to the chassis? Down tubing is important as for classic the down tubing of the frame is included..unlike for hunter where it's removed.. Probably as more classic 350s are taken to Himalayas...So pls answer my question....will there be oil seal issue from the join where the engine head holds the base .. that's where the flex can happen??
Looking forward for this motorcycle in Brazil!
brilliant... !!
