man my grandma used to throw candy and cough drops in her purse, to give to us during church when we were little😂 especially when we didn’t have children’s church, and had to sit through regular service.
In my church we are not allowed to eat in the sanctuary our dining area is downstairs but we do have a back room that leads to downstairs for the elderly to sit in to eat their breads and drink coffee or tea
Some of us are actually encouraged to go to church on an empty stomach. It's like a small fast for whatever it is you will be praying for. Luckily our services are short too.

That's why I love going to the Movie Tavern. You can order a complete meal (steaks, burger, appetizers) or you can get the usual movie snacks along with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage! Unless you have to go to the bathroom, you don't get up at all!!
My church is really awesome. We have a coffee place and fridges with drinks in the cafe out back. We have our worship part of the service then there’s a 10 minute break before the pastor preaches. We have bagels, donuts, and other snacks and people bring them out and eat during the service. It’s honestly great, I have definitely eaten during church! 😊

If you know that about yourself, then at least you know theatres aren't for you. Theatres are for the public, and concession is a huge part of a theatre's income, so it's not likely to change. Also food is a part of the theatre experience for many. The British lady seems uptight and controlling of others to the point point where she is complaining about people eating at places that are also considered food establishments 🙁

I worked at a BBQ restaurant and had a regular customer who bought a BBQ chicken dinner every time she went to the movies.She came so often, I only had to include her name on the part of the order the cooks would see and they'd know how to package it (because she couldn't go to the theater with the dinner tray). She had to switch to potato salad from collard greens because we put too much liquid in the container once.

Places like iPic and Silverspot have amazing restaurant food on-site that they bring to your seat. That would never happen so she may as well stay home lol. Alot of theatres are moving towards that "dine-in" experience anyway.

I just paid $600 for my boo and I to see Wicked and a man and his kids kicked my seat and literally munched on popcorn the entire time AND EVEN in the most epic parts of the most popular songs!!! You pay money to HEAR THEM LIVE and hear some dude munching in your ear?! They got a popcorn refill in intermission. They had bags and bags of candy and popcorn etc and kept shuffling w wrappers like they were on their own couch. It just never ended in the entire 3 hours. I think its beyond rude and should be banned from an expensive show! The seating in the musical theatre is extremely old and PACKED TIGHT too. It is quite literally in your ear.

People are the RUDEST at Broadway shows!! I went back to school, and the school has $3 Broadway trips. So I've been to a few, and I am ALWAYS sat by people who are touching their phones, scrolling through Twitter, leaving food and drink under their seats when they leave, talking the whole show. Like STOP. When I saw Wicked, the woman next to me was scrolling through Twitter despite having no reception and didn't get that I was glaring at her until the middle of Defying Gravity! I feel like I need to go see Cursed Child again because the people around me for both parts were talking, opening wrappers loudly, using their phones, or asking why Hermione was black.

I'm legit close to my pastors, and we would share tacos. Like I was the younger one, so I passed out the tacos to the pastors who wanted, I'd take offering, all a dat. No shame in eating at the worst of time and best of times.
What I really hate is when people sleep during movies and they snore LOUD AS HELL. Like I get it, you might not like the movie or your a parent who has brought their children to watch the movie and you just wanna sleep, but if there’s a theater FULL of people and your snoring... you gotta leave.
This reminds me of my first time going to a movie theater that has those comfy, fully reclining seats. My boyfriend at the time and I brought in wine and a couple of cups- it was a movie I wasn't really into and according to him, I fell asleep within the first 15 minutes. So, he's there, kind of amused/annoyed that I fell asleep and then HE fell asleep towards the end of the movie. We didn't wake up until the movie was over and they turned the lights in theater on. 🤣🤣 What's worse is we had the 2 seats closest to the aisle and the theater was full so imagine all of the people who had to walk past us on their way out of the theater and we're both sprawled out with wine. 😂 That was the last time I boozed and went to see a movie.

This reminds me of my first time going to a movie theater that has those comfy, fully reclining seats. My boyfriend at the time and I brought in wine and a couple of cups- it was a movie I wasn't really into and according to him, I fell asleep within the first 15 minutes. So, he's there, kind of amused/annoyed that I fell asleep and then HE fell asleep towards the end of the movie. We didn't wake up until the movie was over and they turned the lights in theater on. 🤣🤣 What's worse is we had the 2 seats closest to the aisle and the theater was full so imagine all of the people who had to walk past us on their way out of the theater and we're both sprawled out with wine. 😂 That was the last time I boozed and went to see a movie.
I actually wait for loud parts in a movie or music in it to open candy. Lol. My church has a cafe we can either eat and drink there and watch the service on the TV's or we can go into the sanctuary.

Adrienne was too funny when she talk about the food in church. She was like if I have to sit there and watch you preach; then I want something to eat😂😂Now moving on to this movie theater topic about banning popcorn from the theater. I think that lady is crazy as hell if she thinks that will ever happen. I think that one of the main reason that people go to the theater other than to watch the movie is because of the concession stand to buy popcorn and other snacks. Like duh! Not to mention that people have been buying popcorn at the movie theater for years. As for those people who chew loudly, either move away from them or ask them politely to stop it. Or if you don’t wanna do that then talk to the usher or manager.
i too have brought a whole meal to the theater LML i'm not proud but i was hungry and we were gunna miss the movie LMAO

Honestly I’m a loud eater n my mouth is always closed but I try to be quiet anyway when I chew but I think it bothers me more than it bothers another ppl 😭 it’s just that it be so quiet n than I’m eating 😬

As a kid in church my parents would always give me “trail mix”: pretzels and m n ms (I don’t know how to type that okay? 😂) but as I got older they stopped with that. That’s why I always eat a big breakfast before services because being hungry while in church is the worst 😂
Ade's a carboholic like me! I'm glad she's a balanced vegan and not cutting out food groups. I can't tell y'all how annoying it is when someone says "I'm not vegan anymore because I felt like crap" and was eating 2 celery sticks and some mushroom coffee everyday 🙄
Tbh I'm not fazed by this at all cuz I never could afford to buy drinks or food so I got use to going to the theatre without them

Lol tbh, i have agreed so many times. Have paid a lot of money for movies in the past and could not enjoy because of a ton of people munching on popcorn. It is not a quiet food and ppl seem to enjoy better the louder they can chew it.
