The interior of the house where the interview with Mr. Singho was made looks very similar to the interior of northeastern brazilian houses. It remindes me of my grandma's house. And not just the house, the people too. No wonder they feel a bit portuguese :). Glad to know bit about the history of Kristang, I've never had heard about it before this video.
One of the best documentaries about Kristang, which is one of the creole languages of Asia based on Portuguese, together with Macanese in Macau and the creole of Goa in India, all of them sweet and precious linguistic gems. I've given the due thumbs-up, subscribing to the channel as well. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I'm in Fort Kochi right now and will be visiting Goa soon - excited to see if I can see/hear any of the creole language there! :)
@@LindsayDowLanguages That's awesome! I hope you do! And you're most welcome!
The episode about Singapore and Hokkien was great, and now we got another one in Malaysia.

UM abraço de Portugal .Americo
Why don't learn proper Portuguese like other Lusophone regions? I think it would help them going deeper into their heritage.
