I am doing this solely on my own and any products/companies I mention I do on my own and not by any affiliation I have with these companies/manufacturers.
I have been colouring my hair various colours of red or purple and the some tips for the best results are 1. Wash your hair before you start focusing on the roots to get rid of any oils or dirt and do not condition. 2. Apply colour to the front and roots first and saturate. 3. Go in with the rest of the colour on remaining length. 3. Wrap in cling film or a plastic bag to prevent the colour from drying and it also keeps it warm which helps. 4. Do not shampoo just rinse with cool not hot water 5. Add conditioner and leave on for a few minutes concentrate conditioner on ends of hair. 6. Rinse with cool water and wrap hair in towel but don’t rub vigorously. 7. Try not to wash for 2-3 days or longer post colour. X
That's right
Nice! These are great tips! I'll try to incorporate them! Thank you!
What you said about the saturation is extremely true for this dye. I helped my wife with hers, she has neck length thick hair. Thought that, because there wasn't much length, she would be good with one unit of this color. Her roots and most of her hair turned out pretty good. Where it worked, she has a red brown color that can be seen best in lit areas. The ends did not take well. There's an appearance that it fades into brown. She says the style fits one idea she had because it lightly shows off the color while transitioning. The look could have been more vibrant if we'd gotten a second box originally. If you have thick hair and can't decide on an amount because of the length, do not skimp on this dye.
Thank you for sharing!
This color is the perfect red ❤️ it looks amazing 😍
Thank you so much! 🤗
I miss dying my hair but It also liberating not having to. Started letting my natural hair grow out... Just her hair looks so pretty.
same i dyed my hair copper for 6 years let my natural hair grow out. my hair is natural medium brown. Im glad im not having to retouch it anymore or dye it but i miss it. but i dont want to start again because is such a hassle
@@carla3693 yeah and dying your hair changes the natural texture of it which is why I also want to grow out my own colour
Did the same color 7.45 and mixed with 6.60. Same issue with uneven color and saturation. Even though I put plenty of product on and thourly worked through all of the hair. Bleeding of color was the other downfall. It bleed way longer than a color should. Loved the hue, but not enough to use it again!
Gorgeous color! I have the same color pretty much. They key to getting that intense color is to reach for intense copper and red shades with an orange base ( not a brown base) and a level 6-8 . Hope this helps
I CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON YOU FOR A RED VIDEO,LOL .I JUST THIS COLOR THIS MORNING AND I'M SCARED TO DEATH TO TRY IT LOL.I USED SWARTZKOF LAST MONTH A RED COLOR WHICH TURNED ULTRA BLONDE LOL YOUR COLOR HAIR IN THE CAR IS GORGEOUS.
Thank you! You can do it!
Im buying this today and your video has confirmed its the right color so thank you! Ive been blonde over a year and tried revlon in that shade and it died my hair pink... then tried loreal in true red and its now bright purple/pink when all I wanted was an orange red shade!
Yay! Good luck and keep me posted!
Im about to dye my hair this same color! Wish me luck! It looks beautiful on you! 💜
Wahoo! Good luck and keep me posted!
@@thetypewoman Thank you! 💜
I'm trying to find a good intense copper dye almost orange like and preferably one that is not too damaging. My hair is medium brown. I loooove this color you did! Can you please comment some recommendations of your fave copper colors? Also please dye it with this again!
You should try wella color charm 8RG mixed with 7R red red. Is like a corral red color. I heard to have a ginger or corral color in the hair. You have to bleach it first then dye it.
Love the color!!
I just dyed my hair a similar color! I used cajun spice! Its soo beautiful! I dye my hair all the time, and i find that semi permanent dyes stick better waaayyy better to my ends than demi/permanent dyes do. You should try semis because your ends don't look the same as the rest of your hair. But you look beautiful as always
Aww shucks! Thank you!
And you're right, I need to try more semi permanent dyes!
I see!! Those are both great choices for your hair.. 🙂
You'll look amazing with both colors in my mind!🤗
Is there any colors you haven't tried or want to try? Seems like you've tried all the reds from Olia, L'oreal, Garnier available 😂😂😂
What brand is the Cajun spice color you used? Did you get it at sallys? I'm searching for a copper color with a very slight brownish undertone. Is this my color??? Lol.
@@heather4346 Hello! We use Adore Dye Cajun Spice! It's a great color!
Hi!! Where do you buy Adore Hair Dyes?
I just used this color. I bought one at walgreens for my roots. I instantly noticed the developer was thicker. It looked as though it was dried and it was hard to shake together. After alot of effort I still had chunks in the dye, almost how dry lotion builds upon a lotion bottle
Well I really liked the color so I bought two boxes on amazon and noticed the same thing. There is something about the developer.
Good to know!!
Yeeees go with the 3 boxes!!!!
Beautiful color! ❤ Have you tried Schwarzkopf Igora Royal 8.77 Light Blonde Cooper Extra? One of my favorites copper dye!
Tip: put the color on your roots, let it sit for 20 minutes, put more color in your long hair and wait another 20 minutes= 40 minutes. This should give your roots time to develope and absorb the color.
I do that too. I just thought that was a given, because the directions on the boxes (that I have used) say to do that. And you are right, it works! :)
@Ladee could u pretty pls tell me what eyebrow pencil/thing you use.. The shade and brand.. Tysm !! Xo 🙃🙃🙃🙃😘😘😘😘
Lol love how i watched part 1 first.. Omg haha.. Im gona pull the trigger and go red lol you are super pretty omg like im dead..
That's a great color! Good tip to make sure it is saturated. It looked like you had a lot of the product in your hair though, so I'm a bit surprised that it got patchy on you. It's too bad that you'd have to get three boxes.
Agreed! But it may be worth a shot to give product a second chance. As it is such a good color!
@@thetypewoman Definitely! And still a lot less expensive than a salon.
Just wanted you to know I’m so happy I found your YT channel today! I think I’m signed in and commenting from the wrong account, but I went onto IG & requested to follow you from @torifater (I’m red 👩🏻🦰 too, heyyy 👋🏿!).
Back to the point, ha, your videos are SO helpful... I mean, night & day comparison to what I’ve seen over the last few years since I took over my own “red-locks”... so thank you!! I’m also (like many others I see 😂) a big fan of your haircut!! I’ve actually been exerting entirely too much time & energy thinking about what I wanted to do with my hair next... I was leaning toward something similar cut wise, bangs (haven’t had them in forrrrevaaaa) and going from my summer color that was new for me, a lighter strawberry/copper blonde... to Ion 7RR which is how I found your channel! I’ve already watched like 7 videos, mostly hair color, but I’ve enjoyed & can so relate to those & a few more. Looking forward to seeing more.
I’m not going to write a novel on the comments here, BUT I DO have a few ideas/suggestions for a few things you mentioned in this & other videos 😊. Thanks again & keep up the fabulous work 😘🙌
Oh! I meant to ask, do you do your own cut, or do you have it done in a salon? Any tips on the bangs/or what to ask for to avoid disaster? I don’t want to end up looking like Miss Lippy from Billy Madison 👀😳😂
Hi! I LOVE that color on you! But holy cow, 3 boxes?!!!! My hair is down to my bra strap, and I only use 1 box. Last night I tried Vidal Sassoon Salonist in Intense Red Copper (7/43 ). I think I ordered it online from Walmart. Have you tried that one?
Just got one like this... Did u end up liking the Vidal Sassoon? I think I got citrine copper or something lol
I dyed my hair copper red, but I bleached it, and it turned orange, which I love. I wanna continue dying my hair orange, so my question is, do I have to bleach it all the time, or I can use olia 7.40, and it will turn orange?
I love reds and do redhead 👩🦰 only. I love this color on you! I will try! You asked if it looks good on you and if we think you should do this color brand again and My vote 🗳 is Please do again- 👍
Thank you!
Hi. I can’t find this color. Do they make it anywhere? As you do an amazing job on your coloring dyeing. I had an oops 🙊 my beautiful red hair 👩🦰 with olía light auburn 6.45 (NOT bold) turned my hair brown 😞 in your opinion, how long do I have to wait to re-dye with a coppery red color? So I can return to my happy redhead 👩🦰? Thanks and hope you’re having a nice healthy happy safe 4th! Look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks again.
Well in Italy we don t have that stuff 😂😂😂now I m tried rose gold from crazy color but I m too dark. Next time I wanna try TESTANERA CREME GLOSS from Schwarzkopf..
What is your favorite/color product to use when you dye it?
Awesome videos
Hello! My favorite was Feria Power Copper but it was discontinued. So I am on the hunt for the perfect copper. And I love this color and it could have been it!
My favorite hair dye right now is Wella Color Tango in Paprika. With 30 volume developer. 👍
I just dyed my hair this color about a month ago and was debating on whether to do it again, or try something else from sallys. Haven't seen your videos for a while 😞 thought maybe you'd stopped filming. Was so happy to see ya again. 😄 I really am searching for that bright copper with a slight brownish undertone. Any suggestions?
Hello! I would say this color is what you're looking for! If not, I'm hoping L'Oreal Red Penny is still out there!
The color looks amazing on you!
What is the other box of dye that you might try out?
It's the other product I showed in the Instagram photo 🤗
Girrrrlll! The same thing just happend to me... It dyed the back beautifuly and missing little spots around my face and the front of ny crown a little... I also went with two boxes... Going to go with an intense copper for my cover up with this dye job... I figure this color is so great an intense copper could only improve it! Ps .. My first red hair dye job
Hello!
Congrats on your first red hair dye! I'm sorry this one was a bummer and wound up patchy! I hope the next color covers it all well! Welcome to the redhead family!
L❤ve how it looks!!! Awesome!!!
This is pretty. I'm in the process of trying to find a perfect Copper color. Right now, I;m Intense Copper. Not sure if I like it or not. I'm hoping it will fade a little.
New sub.
Hello! Welcome! I'm in that same process with you! 😂 We'll find it together!
You like a carrot! You look good I guess in every color but the ginger copper color is the best for you.
Oh my gosh, the timing of this video is perfect! I literally went to the grocery store this morning to pick up my regular L'oreal Intense Copper, and saw the Olia dye there too. I ended up grabbing both.
I was literally going to drop you a comment asking if you'd ever tried the Olia, and bam, you just did this week.
I'm very curious to try it myself now. Thanks for the tips in your video about saturating everything well. The colour looks stunning on you!
Yay! I'm so glad to be of help! Thank you!
I literally just colored my hair the same last night. One box.. I should have done two with the length but mine is so horrendously splotchy and I saturated like mad. I'm use to home coloring and I've never had such a bad hair job. Totally going to be redoing it soon. Hope yours works out better. I found relief knowing she struggled with this brand too and that I didn't really mess up ;)
What color do you have on in your display?
Nice !!!!
You need to leave the roots on 15-20 min longer and ends on 15 min less than the middle
What should I get to dye my hair orange red?
That's pretty
I miss my long red hair so much. Ughhh.
Super bright ...
...and perfect!
😍🧡🧡🧡
Quantum entanglment brought me to you ..
Yay! I still love everything about that subject! Thank you! ❤
So i did this color it was a disasters 💭awful .i had to redye it to tone down .it was patchy so uneven and awful.yours came so much better
Oh no! 😔
👍🏻
I can't find it in my country omg 💔💔💔🙁
Nooo! What a bummer!!
@@thetypewoman 💔🙁
Try again and just do the roots.
Just get developer from Sally’s and use the olía dye
