LOL! I love it. And to be honest, they’re probably correct LOL. I find most people have a combination of a few different face shapes rather than one very specific face shape. It’s definitely a complicated subject.

I‘m 49 and since 2018 I had bangs my whole life. It was one of the hardest things to let the bangs grow out. I’m still not 100% used to my „new“ look.
But however, I‘ll watch your series and I‘m sure it will be interesting and fun.

Here’s the great thing....worst case scenario, you can always cut bangs in MUCH faster than growing them out. You don’t like not having bangs....you can have them again in a matter of minutes. :). Yes! Better to over explain than leave people clueless... I've been a stylist for 10 years, and it took me a long time to figure it out... balancing the face, but it was all visually, and I leaned more through make-up than hair. This is more mathematical...geometry really, which is how they teach us to cut hair, so you think they would apply more measurements and angles to the face shapes as well, not just a picture and brief definition of the shape. It almost confused me more for some reason. I love it, thank you!!!

Interesting that I stumbled on this because I am shopping for glasses and in the process of helping me I sent my photo to the customer service woman and she immediately said my face was round. I knew she would say that and did not argue with her but the thing is I have been quite long faced and considered an oval all my life but have recently gained weight which has plumped my face up considerably. So, I think it is not unimportant to mention that being overweight people assume you are a round face because the extra fat on your face obscures your true face shape. But, what do you do? I mean, for all intents and purposes, whether temporary or not, it looks round now, right?
This is a great question! There are two ways I like to approach determining face shape and what to do with a haircut do to fix shape. First is it terminating what your fish is, then it’s about determining what you like about your face or dislike about it. As you age, gain weight, lose weight etc. your face shape will mildly change or dramatically change. That change could also be dramatic quickly. So having an idea of what you like about your face will help. The short answer to your question is yes, regardless if your face has been one shape in the past I would go off of whatever shape it is currently based on your weight gain weight loss etc. Does that make sense?

I have rectangular but I’m getting jowls with age so my jaw doesn’t look as sharp what kinds bob looks best because atm it looks a little sharpen one length ,top of shoulders😳🤦🏻♀️as I just cut it with fringe. Omg your pooches are adorable I have three a chihuahua,poodle & jack Russell 🤗

That’s a great question about Bob links, I would say the length being a bit longer than your job but the main thing would be to create volume up around the temples and in the top to draw the eye up and accentuate more of the cheek structure cheekbones etc. Does that make sense?

Luv the dogs! My shape is long and narrow with a high forehead. It cries out for bangs, but, my hair is super curly and frizzy! Do curly bangs work or r they a total disaster?? I've want them but am afraid I'll end up with a puffy frizzball on my forehead
Great question! Curly bangs can absolutely work, it’s going to depend a lot on your hair texture and the products/technique used to style them. Tough to say without seeing your hair but as I said they definitely can work well.

It’s tough to say without seeing your face, but from that info it sounds like you’re a combination of a heart shape or a diamond shape that has a little bit of length to it. I would really need to see your face shape with your hairline etc.

I think I'm dimond shape. My forehead is 6inch, my face width is about 9 1/2 inch. My jaw line is 8inch and my chin comes to a point. Oh and the length of my face is 8inch? I think that sounds like a diamond. What do you think?
It’s up to say without seeing your face and hairline etc. but it sounds like you’re definitely in the right ballpark.
Im struggling with going all gray… the hair dressers want to charge me 800 to transform my whole hair. Bc im dark. But i want to ho salt and pepper but im bot sure if im ready for the change should i just keep adding highlights??

Would you by any chance have a video which describes in detail the proper way to measure your face? It has been over 20 years since I have even thought about what was taught in a modeling class I had taken in hopes to help with my self-esteem and I seem to recall how you don't measure from hairline to hairline or whatever but I just don't recall what the do's and don'ts are and how to determine where you do measure. Also in the same class I was told I have a face shape which was never mentioned in your video which has me wondering if the video is the complete list of face shapes or if it's just covers the most common? I'm sorry if I confused anyone. I ask out of curiosity because over time things change and sometimes quite a lot! I had been CPR and first aid certified back in high school which was in the late 90s (class of 2000) and decided after 20+years that I would go ahead and get myself recertified. The shock I felt when I saw how CPR has changed over the years is the my main motivator for asking any of this. I was just curious as to what changes may have been made over the last couple decades that I was just completely oblivious to

My measurements are :Forehead 6.5"
Center of face 8.5" Jaw 4" ( from tip of chin to jaw on one side and Length of face from hairline to chin 8" ( The width of the jaw from side to side is 6.5" so the Forehead and width of jaw are about the same and the center is wider at 8.5" and Length 8".My Forehead is high. My jaw is more subtle down the jawline but I have a square chin with a bit of a strong jaw. I'm confused.
