    as a morrocan i would like to say you did a very good job with that tagine except for the fact that we don't put the chicken in the oven for a tagine we do it when we are making "DJAJ MHAMER" but that dish looks great

      I've been looking into this and yes, stovetop use needs a diffuser or the vessel will crack, and only low or medium heat. Personally, I wouldn't risk it and just put the tagine in the oven for the entire cooking time.

    • @brandon3872

    • @vaslav030547
      @vaslav030547 Месяц назад

      @@brandon3872 That doesn't make it traditional.
      Having lived in Morocco for some time I have had many Tagine dishes. The tagine is conical shaped for a purpose and has a hole in the top for additional water.
      Once its cooking you don't mess around stirring it. It is an artistic presentation when finished. One eats first with the vision second with the aroma and lastly with the wonderful taste.
      I hope that answers your query.

    Rinse the chicken, please.

    • @kitzirschky
      @kitzirschky 4 года назад +3

      Rinsing chicken is a terrible idea. Heat kills bacteria. Rinsing chicken just sprays raw chicken water around your sink and kitchen. Far worse.

    • @eadc2158
      @eadc2158 4 года назад +2

      Same here. The thought of not rinsing anything that came from the outside is a no no for me. So far I haven't acquired any form of bacterial infection when I rinse my chicken.

    • @eadc2158

      @@kitzirschky how exactly do you rinse your chicken for the water to spray all over your sink and chicken? Don't you clean your sink after each cooking or washing of dishes?

    • @katerinataylor7183
      @katerinataylor7183 4 года назад +2

      actually, washing raw chicken can contaminate your utensils and cause food poisoning - the bacteria on the chicken will get cooked and rendered harmless, but you are more likely to get food poisoning BY washing the chicken than not: www.today.com/food/should-you-rinse-raw-chicken-ina-garten-debunks-cooking-myth-t125376
