Since different programmes are obviously used for this .... I would appreciate a presumably short introduction, including the tools for searching for interesting files

The good old days of flame wars. Usenet was not for the airheads; if you asked stupid questions, your reward could be thousands of nasty replies. I would not download from Usenet due to the possibility of malware. I used my Amiga 1000 to download a good chunk of Usenet feed via UUCP to a 20 meg hhd; yes, 20 megs was a lot then 😂😂😂. Amiga users used to pick a good flame war with Mac users 😂😂😂. By the way, these wars were primarily done respectfully and with facts. I might have to look at Usenet now that I am retired. Stay safe 🙏.

@@OfficialMazLijust find yourself a good private tracker like Torrenleech. Don't bother trying to get into those super exclusive and tight knit trackers, those are pretty much dead with only a handful of active members.
We had a full feed from '84 onwards at my work. It was actually really valuable for unix tech exchange q/a , but also very fun to read alt.alien.vampire.flonk.flonk.flonk and try to figure out what it meant.

And you need to be careful about what you download, you'll might find a lot of files which contain malware / viruses.
You can block these extensions in sabnzbd exe, bat, cmd, com, vbs, reg, js, scr
