    Cory! My brother and I bought two sets in 1992 (16yo and 10yo) and used the figures for Warhammer Fantasy as 4th edition had just been released. Not too long ago I rescued the game from the family home as my parents had sold the house before retiring to the country. The game box was beaten up and it was missing all the figures and tower but the cardstock was unpunched. My plan in 2024 is to purchase the missing figures and paint the two forces of Imperial and Chaos, challenge my brother to the campaign game, 32 years later. We will no doubt fight and argue but we will have lots of fun.

      That's amazing, my friend! I hope you'll be able to find all the minis you need because I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun playing the Battle Masters campaign. Wishing you the best of luck!

    Got it for Xmas in 92. Took three hours to assemble. The figures all have to be cut from plastic frames 😂

    I was 20 years old when I bought this new with my own cash in 92! I still have it today. Much loved, beat to hell… but boy I love playing it.

    Great video! I've played that game for decades but I don't have that edition manual, mine has less pictures. Plus, I''ve never seen the unboxing of the expantions. I read they had these components but never saw them, thanks for opening the boxes, it was an unreal experience! Also, the manuals seem to have new art. One thing you can do with BM is change the rules for a more wargaming experience for.... gamers who want more dice, rules and odds (games workshop LOTR rules for example), and keep the simpler instructions for norma.... I mean OTHER people. We add miniatures and have fun creating platforms, I use old transparent and black CD protectors,

    I bought this game in 1994 from the local department store's toy section. There was a guy who was playing Warhammer and got me and my buddy into it too, and he suggested it would be a great starting point for getting into Warhammer! My buddy ended up collecting Empire, and I decided to collect Chaos, and so we bought it brand new from the store, brought it home, snapped out the figures and played a game. It was fun and it kicked off decades of miniature gaming for me! So cool to see that you finally got your hands on it. Will you paint it up too?!?

      @@AnHourOfWolves As much as I would like to, I've decided to make an exception and leave the miniatures in my board game collection unpainted. The reason is that the pile of miniatures I’m planning to paint, as it is, will last me decades 😅. Fortunately, the previous owner threw in some extra models, and since I'm planning to start an Empire army for Warhammer: The Old World, I'll definitely paint those!

      @@CoryCollects That's super interesting; I'm never sure whether Battle Masters is a board game or a miniature game. I'll add your interpretation that it's a board game to the pile of evidence that that's what it is... Thanks for posting!

      Thanks for the comment, my friend! I was thinking of doing more unboxings of other tabletop miniature games in the future, so I might eventually make one for Dragon Strike. I appreciate the suggestion!

    Ah, Battlemasters, a game I have a deep love for. It really is a relic from a simpler time. The rules have zero room for ambiguity and confusion.
    I am very tempted to make a home brew version of it. I just need to find somewhere that can make a mat.
    What lengths are the sides of the hexes?

    • @CoryCollects
      @CoryCollects  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, my friend! Thanks for your comment. I've just measured the sides of the hexes, and they are 3 inches long. Hope that helps!
