First, I have to say that keeping the teflon sheet on the heat press with magnets is brilliant! That said, I have been anxiously awaiting this video. I just ordered a 10-needle machine (using PE800 currently) and was hoping for a detailed video on how you hoop and place your stabilizer and this did not disappoint. Thank you so much! Prayers that Roman gets better soon.

OMG, you are a Godsend, Thank you so much for the video. I've tried so hard to figure out how to hoop for the larger machine after having a single-needle machine initially and it's driven me mad. You are the only person who has a good detailed video with a great tip for the stabiliser and is so easy to understand. Thank you x

You should make a video on how you do this same process but on your PE 770. I wish I had these machine! Seems like a much easier process.

I see a couple of issues with this method of hooping the onesie. The hoop is rather large & the knit is stretched when hooped. It is further stretched when she pulls on it after hooping to remove the bubbles. This can result in a distorted embroidery and puckering when released from the hoop and/or after washing.

Great job Angela showing users how to hoop onesies and small shirts! For those with multi needle machines like yours floating the tear away stabilizer is faster than hooping it with the shirt. Single needle machine owners should hoop the stabilizer with the shirt using temporary spray adhesive such as 505 adhesive, it doesn’t gum up your needle. Oh Angela, a great soft cut away stabilizer that will not show thought the back of shirts is “Soft n Sheer “stabilizer. It’s made by the same company that makes “tender touch”.

I subscribed to your channel after I watched the first 2 minutes of one of your videos. Ever since I was hooked up to your channel. My 8yo special needs daughter loves watching your videos for some reason and she gets so happy when she sees Riley on screen. If you still need testers i will be more than happy to test for your designs. I have tested lots of dress patterns and bag patterns before. But have never tested embroidery designs before, so I would love to help you in every way possible. ♥️

    Hi Angela,
Your videos are so great and soo helpful. How far down from the neck band do you start stitching the design. In some videos as soon as you hoop the shirts you move the design to the top and start stitching. Tried that and mine stitched too high. How do you know?? Thanks

  • @cmills2894

I like using polymesh cutaway by Inspira. I tried an iron on brand from Amazon before and didn't like it. Embroidery garden had a really good review of stabilizers (from years ago I don't know if they've updated it). Medium cutaway is too thick for my liking because it shadows and stiffens the entire design. The mesh had a great drape and my shirts looks great after many washings and drying because I do everyday shirts for my girls.

Or could you reply and link the video you did showing us, on your old 700. Thank you so much. You are helping me with my confidence. Maybe 1 day I’ll open an Etsy shop, or at least sew 🧵 for other people instead of for my animals.

I had a single needle Janome. You'd need stabilizer in hoop. I like to trace the outline on stabilizer to wear design will go. Turn the shirt inside out. Then I pin the TOP of shirt in the outline ( I use the long hat pins) . The bottom of the shirt is rolled up from the bottom and placed off the hoop. You can purchase binder clips, or use hair clips to hold the rolled shirt back and off the hoop. Hope this helps you.

Angela please please please make sure. What I am hearing is that it isn’t just about it being made for kids but whether it could be "kid attracted ". Based on the characters that you embroider it could possibly be considered "kid attracted". The rules are pretty vague and in my opinion very very unfair to the content creators. It basically takes the responsibility of what children watch away from the parents which is where it should be and place the responsibility on the content creator. I have seen a lot of paper. Crafters I follow taking down a lot of their videos with Disney characters down. I love your channel and probably follow you more than anyone. Just don’t want you to be affected.
