      Exactly. And you see how he called him modern defensive player? I don't know what's up with the word "Modern" 😂
      All i guess, I saw a video on RUclips with title "Gionis - The modern defensive player" and it had a compilation of his best shots. This guy probably just copying the title of some RUclips video, because it doesn't make any sense otherwise 😂
      I mean, what's modern here? All the choppers play like this. There's no different technique here.

    I once tried to work on BH topspin like that. Spent a whole afternoon training it. Big mistake! My elbow was so sore after that I couldn't play for two weeks. It always amazes me how much spin and pace he gets on it even when he is a bit out of position.
    Gionis is so precise!

    • @TableTennisDaily
      @TableTennisDaily  4 года назад +3

      Yeah I think it's something you'll have to gradually build up. Kreanga does 20 minutes, 3 days per week of shoulder exercises using therabands.

  • @WellMefisto

    kreanga backhand is the most unique technique i know in tabletennis sports, its just art
    you cant even practice that or learn that to somebody. its his signature move. this backhand topspin
    everyone will teach you to stop the rotation and swinging with the racket facing your face and pointing to the top of the net
    watch closely how he keeps swinging the entire arm against all rules, he fully swings it out. insane. i just love watching that artwork

    • @XIplupIX
      @XIplupIX 4 дня назад

      Yeah it is great, but ti is also like that cause he used to play in a different era. the modern game is a lot more about playing close to the table and haven as efficient strokes as possible to keep up with the fast pace. If you check out old players a lot of them have "less efficient or larger movement". Simply how comeptitive sport works, technique get optimized. I mean check out the tournametns from like 1960 or so. the way they move is completely different.

    There is a world recognized coach who once said there only 2 players in the world who can return pips chop with backhands: 1. Kreanga and 2. Karakasevic. Rest of the players do it only with forehand. He was so right judging by this video. Kreangas BH is insane, if not the best ever seen.

    I'm looking for an optimal, physiological racket handling. It would be great if you during an interview with a player using the European grip, asked about the nuances of the grip and how this or that feature affects the ability to perform certain elements; with slow-motion video in high quality, where you could see the movement of their wrists. Creanga, Karakasevic, Boll, Ovtcharov, Pitchford, Francisca, Chinese... I think it is very important information for fans, which will allow them to improve their game.
