Your enthusiasm has officially cured the world from depression. Haha. I just picked up a Norco Bigfoot 2 last week and am enjoying ploughing through similar terrain and snow up here in Alberta, Canada. Enjoyed your video. Best to you!
I was expecting to see the course warden chasing you out of his sand traps! Congratulations on 8,000, I remember when you were at like 40. That wasn't so long ago, keep it up!
Awesome video. Awesome rig. I been a sceptic of fat bikes for a couple decades. Living in upstate New York, to have better traction commuting, I've decided to use the stimulus checks to purchase a Trek Farley 7. It's not the deep snow on roads, but the snow packed-down by vehicles, that give me zero traction. The studded Cake Eater tires(according to one owner), offers confident traction on brutal Winter days.
Thanks, great video! This is like a unicorn, no one makes a Farley video. Ride the beast and you are done. Out of breath and you may feel dead but you will be happy :-)
i thought about getting a fatbike for winter riding, but, found my trek top fuel works just as well... i would put studded tyres on it if they were available
It's too bad bikes are so hard to get right now. I currently am riding a 2019 giant fathom1 29er that I have done a few upgrades to and I really like but I would really like to get a 2021 giant fathom1 29er or a fat bike so I have a spare bike but I can't find one. After watching this, I'm thinking a fat bike
Your pressure is to high to take advantage of the tires. Your front tire didn't squat in the end of the video. For reference, I weigh around 160 and run 6.5 to 7 psi (front), 7 to 8 psi (rear). In snow pack lower is better; 4.5 psi is a good starting point but I might go lower if it's deep and soft snow. Go low and give it a go.
Fun video for sure..but where your helmet at?? As you found out fat bikes can go down in a hurry. I know from experience too. Stay safe and make more videos😊
Relax Karen LOL. He's a grown man capable of making his own decisions relative to his safety. News flash, kid of the 70s/80s here. Survived my childhood and teen years without a helmet and my buddies and I rode the crap out of our bikes including jumping anything we could - somehow I survived.
This is the best Trek Farley review video on youtube - congrats! :)
Dude you should be a mountain bike ambassador, your enthusiasm for the sport is awesome and contagious.
Popping wheelies in the snow! I'm here for it!

@@MattyActive We started getting back into bikes at the same time, I feel like I've been along on the journey with you. Keep having fun!
Just snagged a Farley 5 off of FB Marketplace for $400! Seller met me at Trek for them to inspect it and it was solid. Looked like it was hardly used.
Dude, the joy you bring to riding and your videos is wonderful. Love watching your stuff Matty. Keep it up! Congrats on the 8k!
You doing wheelie as a breeze...in any bike. Crazy looking nice fun, Matty!

I might be picking one of these up, but with a Bluto fork. Super stoked to (hopefully) finally have a decent fat bike for the winter rides!
Congratulations on 8k subscribers. In no time you'll be at 10k
I finally got marlin6 2022. It's my first time doing 29 inches, so it's very awkward. The color is red-end black.
You will get used to it for sure. I love that color!

How can you wheelie different bikes so easy
A Lot of practice!
You should make a tutorial video. Me, i cant even lift my front wheel high enough to bunny hop
Matty, try it on a real mtb trail, they are a blast there too!
Got a new Farley7 3 weeks ago if I could only have 1 bike that will be it
Got my 7 yesterday. Installed in cross my bad for night. Almost not sleeping.
Now I think how I use them, maybe hang it on the wall ?
