    Very cool! A lot of corybas are cooler growing too, which makes them a real challenge in most indoor conditions. So great that you made this video, hopefully with time people get more of these into propagation

      Definitely! The more you know, the more you can grow 😂 Would love to see more orchids show up in people's collections!

    They are very pretty, so different. It's nice to see ones that you didn't even know existed!!

      Right?! There's so many species and hybrids of orchids out there, there's always something new to discover 😁

    I was wondering how it went with these. Thanks for the update. I enjoyed learning about them. 😊

      Yea, it's been about a year...so it's about time. They've been dormant for so long, I almost forgot about them 😆

    Great info! I haven't tried growing these yet since I'm not sure how well they'd fair in my conditions, but they're really neat plants. The tubers are really tiny!

      They are mini plants but they are super cool and worth trying out 😁

    After watching your video, I am very interested in these orchids! Could you tell me where can I find information about the orchids from South America?

    Crazy looking orchids, but they are still amazing orchids. If I had a way I would like to try to grow these orchids as I have a not too hot of a room to try these. Anyways thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day. P.S. Love your videos.

      Totally! Orchids are so weird, unique, and cool...there are so many to explore and sometimes, they don't even seem like they'd be orchids. Thanks for your wonderful comments, always appreciated 😁

    Thanks so much for this info! Do you happen to know if nervilia will still go dormant if it is kept in constant greenhouse conditions with consistent lighting and humidity year-round? E.g. might it be like alocasia, that don't go dormant if conditions remain favourable?

    How can you tell it is time start watering again / trigger growing?

    • @AttainableGreen
      @AttainableGreen  5 месяцев назад

      It will start growing. The tip will emerge from the tuber and it should peek out from the soil line.

      @@AttainableGreen thanks for the reply! So the watering doesn’t trigger it to resume growing, it will just start growing and then when the tip is noticeable, regular watering should begin.

      @localmeadows exactly! If you think it’s delayed, you can sprinkle some water to encourage it to grow but not too much so it rots

    Aren't theere tropical Corybas which do not take winter dormancy? I heard of this genus, and I know there are australian ones and tropical ones.

    • @AttainableGreen
      @AttainableGreen  2 года назад

      Yes, there are Corybas from Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Borneo, etc.) but I think they still have a winter dormancy. It may not be as severe as the Australian ones, but they take less water in the winter season. Some say that they can grow them year round, but it may be dependent upon warmer conditions.
