Imzad violin music coming back to life in Algeria

A Tuareg women-only musical tradition has been reborn in Algeria. Women had long played the imzad, in the matriarchal Tuareg communities of southern Algeria and neighbouring desert regions of Niger and Mali, and now its regaining momentum.
