- I had to rip this song just for fun. Walkman??? Remember those?!?!? This one features a catchy rock riff but I palm muted it not to drown out or distort. This song brings back great memories of a bride I used to know. Written by Nick Lowe. Played by his pal Dave Edmunds on his 1977 album Get It. Long live Nick, Dave and Rockpile!

Very cool cover !!!!
Thanks Tati!
Thanks!
just fun to play, thanks
Indeed! Just a classic kick ass rock and roll song! Nick and the boys (Rockpile) had it all goin' on!
This song is a lot of fun. I recently picked up a copy of the re-mastered "Get the knack" and they have append the original album with a number of outtakes, including this song. It's a down and dirty rough mix, but Berton Averre throws in all sorts of bad ass licks and it is also a lot of fun. Check it out sometime...
I'll keep my eyes open! Thanks for the tip! And BTW, this song IS so much fun to play!
Seriously great execution and great taste, Sir. Have you heard this monstrous "hard core" the kids play now? Dreadful.
Thank you, sir! And yes, the stuff being played today... yikes. Not a fan of what I call "Cookie Monster" singers.
Very nice cover. Is this in drop D? Thanks for posting this video.
Much appreciated! Nope, standard tuning. Lots of palm muting and a bit more distortion than the original recording. Just a great tune!
The James Hetfield version with all down strokes!
Tried to keep it real...but I'm a rocker by training...
