Jammed with dave edmunds in Monmouth after a horseriding week end he was an absolute gent, I was playing bum chords & singing out of tune, he loved it 😊😂

Any chance you could do a lesson on Nick Lowe's "So It Goes"? I saw Nick and Dave play with their band Rockpile at Sydney’s Stagedoor Tavern back in ‘79. Mental As Anything were the support. A fabulous gig!

Try using a capo for big open ringing chords

@@SimonMorelguitar Hi Simon you put the capo on 2nd fret. Play B using an A shape. If you watch the clip of Dave E playing on NYE Later with Jules this is exactly what he is doing. It gives a great ringing sound. The intro using shapes for G F C.

confused as hell....in the old MTV video of rockpile, edmunds plays it in G#.....in the tabs, everyone says its in A.....now your playing in B!!!!!....oh hell, man...I will just wait untill Billy Bremner comes to new haven this fall, and ask him
Hi John, thanks for watching. Sorry you are stuck. This is the Dave Edmunds version of this tune. Have a listen to his original and you will the first section starts with the | B | A/B E/B A/B | section, then the first chord in the verse is Db. @@SimonMorelguitar great lesson simon.this is per the record ..however i get Johns confusion as every clip on youtube he seems to play in a diff key,sometimes with a capo.....
