Volvo 242 with a 4.0l v8 and a 4 speed is nuts. 2nd gear goes from 40-130 its the perfect drifting gear. Trust me dawg. Pro on road super showcase dif and elite showcase tires
Your "rusty" runs are cleaner than 95% of all my drifts in this game LMAO :))) I'm still fidling around with all the options but I just haven't found something yet that actually CLICKS with me. A run like your first one would be like 800k-something for me.
Imma just leave this here since nobody ever seems to talk about or mention this: A few cars in the game, mainly AWD cars are very grippy and hard to get through turns, some are just abominable, like the Murcielago, Huracan Performante, R34 Skyline GTR, ‘06 Subaru Wrx Sti, Audi R8, 911 GT3 RS, McLaren P1 & P1 GTR, 918 Spyder, ‘10 BMW M3 & M5, GTR Nismo & Huracan (last two are debatable). These care with just track parts aren’t going to perform the best (as RACE builds), these cars require specific parts and builds to get the best performance as far as HANDLING goes per car, some cars just won’t do with all track parts, and some lower level parts perform better than higher level parts on top of that. The game is just assed backwards, but I highly recommend you experiment with these parts. For example, the Audi R8, you may lose slight cornering ability with a (Super) Showcase Differential but it will drift every corner without a problem vs you having to grip through and lose tremendous speed and not even drift. You may lose slight 0-60 with some cars. But to stabilize these cars handling and balance them out, it DAMN sure is worth the trade off. Whether it be with better drifting mechanics, better cornering ability, stabilizing the car from sliding back and forth, or preventing the car from sliding back and forth and then the car freezes up with you not being able to steer or move at all for a good 1-2 seconds (the Performante and a few others do this). In the aftermath though, the results on at least most of the cars are amazing. Some of them can be tricky, but it’s worth putting time into and considering. Some cars like the Viper & the Challenger are just terrible no matter what you put on them. And with some cars, in order to get them to drift you have to turn and hit the brake at the same time, if you turn before braking they’re not gonna drift. All of mine perform rather well for the most parts, some I’d even say are close if not top tier cars. A good portion of the playerbase isn’t aware of this though. Before you hop in a car and slap track parts on, experiment with the car outside of the just the engine swap. A lot of the cars I listed will surprise you.
RUclips User there are ways to give it more grip in order to prevent it from sliding out or excessively cornering especially if you have your steering sensitivity maxed. Really comes in handy to help stabilize the car but also keep it’s great cornering capabilities so you have full control of the car

The change in feel may have somthing to do with the physics engine so with different parts their may be a hidden weight change. I've heard people talking about drag racing with friends and losing with the same set of internals because their cosmetic parts changed, but who knows its all just a theory... A GAME THEORY🤷🏾♂️🤣
It is not a theory. It is true. I experienced the same thing me and my buddy. When you add parts and add weight to your car. Try it out. Whoever hasn't then take the parts off and put on the original parts and feel the difference how lighter the car is. Versus the weight shifting

A personal Favorite car i like to use for drifting is the '69 Mustang. It definitely takes practice and time invested to see what works and what doesn't, but it's still a fun and unique car to drift with and I have a lot of fun with it. I'd love to see you drift a muscle car someday CrayG, and if you do, the '69 mustang should be your first muscle car project, imo.
Try the BRZ as a drift build it’s so good Oh ye I forgot to say use the 4.0 I6 with showcase suspension, sport brakes, elite drag tires, elite+ clutch, 5 speed gearbox and a pro drift differential for the BRZ

IF U HAVE THIS PROBLEM HERES A WAY TO GET PAST THE START SCREEN (its a little lengthy but it works) Go to look for a group for NFS jus click on any random post. Click on the persons profile and join their game 9/10 their lobby will b full but it'll get u past the start screen

Disconnect your controller right at the home menu, where it won't let you press a. Upon reconnection it should work fine. Also: the Buick is a absolute monster drift car
As far as I can tell for fenders, alignment, etc. more camber + wide body good for drifting and more tire contact + no widebody (also slim body for cars like the RSR) good for racing
Camber does not affect any performance, it is a visual customization. If it was a performance tune it would be in the performance tab or in the quick tune menu where it would change your 0-60 time.
Best drifter to me is : Ford Focus RS. The car can dance around corners with ease. Love the sound too. Don't even need maxed out stats for it to be a drift machine.
Idk how many people know this but spam the gas thru the corner. Don't hold the gas, slam it over and over. Makes no sense but you can hold actual slides really easily without much power (using a 300 hp 180sx.)
Actually I find the Evo 9 or 10 with biturbo the best drift car. With showcase differential and drift tires and drift suspension It's really good becoz it has a high acceleration but max speed is for a drift car not rly important becoz u hardly stay at a maximum speed of 120mph And with pro parts it is good enough... 😁👌🏻👍🏻 I hope it was helpful
I just confirmed that if you unplug everything connected to your Xbox as well as unplugging the console and turning it back on, once it’s on replug everything back to it and it should work. It did for me now I’m able to play the game again.

yo i built a nissan 350z 08, goes 217mph thru the intersection from takeoff with no nitrous. i have clips for proof. motorswap it with the 646 hp 3.5l v6 engine, ultimate plus parts for everything. dual turbo. race tires and track suspension/differential. try it out !
Cosmetic means they have no effect on performance. Its only for personal preference on looks. Camber on the other hand is not classed as cosmetic, but there isn't info given if it changes anything or not. I generally have negative camber on back and slightly negitive on front just for looks. I haven't felt a difference.
I might have found a way to play nfs heat without having to join someone . Try to sign out ,enter nfs ,select your account,then it should work it worked for me.

Instead of drift tires, use drag tires getting a higher drift score and great drifting acceleration as if I did with the Mazda RX-7
