I have 326k on Raceway, and easy 1mil on drift events. Your drift videos are good, but not often providing the right advice. Nothing against it, I love your race videos, helped me tune the rsr and post up 1.26.49 on raceway. Read below and test if you wish to. I have figured out the easiest way to get the highest points. You can be as lazy as you want but you'll still end up beating what you have on your boards. 1. CAR - no matter what tune you use, 99% of the cars will never be good at all 3 below, 1. get high points 2. hold high drift angle on high speed 3. easy to transition The Evo ix you are using is a really good at (3) and average at (2) but poor at (1). Instead, try below in reverse order, A. RX7 (Good at all three - use the v8) B. Silvia (2nd best option) (lovely car on GTR engine) C. Mercury / 350Z / BRZ (Pick any to learn) I have tried all of the above, many other cars too. Drift zones where you get 100K, Silvia will add another 50K and Rx7 will add another 70K. There is a different tune for each car. But the only way to get highest point is to test a car on Drag Tyres, SpeedCross Suspension, and Drift Differential. If the tuner dot rests exactly on the extreme right on Drift, the car is capable of getting maximum points on all surfaces. You need an overall car, not offroad and not on road. If you try all showcase or all speedcross or all drift, you'll struggle with speeds and handling. Hence, bringing down the point counter. GEARBOX - (Good) 6 Speed in Manual is best for most turns and most cars (silvia - definitely and rx7 - depends on the area where drifting) as it holds the drifting line on rev limiter in 3rd gear (175kmps to 196kmph). Logic is, you need high responsiveness to transition between corners and get back to speed as quickly as possible without struggling to hold the drift as the car picks up again. (Good) 5 Speed Manual - Only for races / zones with long drift sections. (Average) 5 Speed Auto - Use this if you don't like manual shifting. Don't use 6 Speed with automatic shifting. FORCED INDUCTION - (Good) Roots charger - helps to reach back to speed and remain close to limiter when speed slows down and we struggle to regain control of the car, which is often in case of turbo and twin turbo. All in all the car is highly responsive with a roots charger. I added 20-30K on drift zones with the same car on a roots charger as opposed to a dual or single turbo charger. (Average) Twin Turbo - if you are using 5 Speed, and drifting in 2nd and on a single Turbo, you will struggle to control as revs will fall during transitions and most of the corner would be done on a low speed. You have to be in top 1% to actually learn to hold speed on turbos, and no one is winning awards here unlike forza for an extra 1K. So as long as you want to have fun, and be above average in drifting, you can safely use dual turbo (car is more controllable than with Roots charger). However, it would not help you get as many points as compared to Roots Charger or single Turbo. TYRES - Drag - The reason is you lose acceleration on other tires. Bottom line - RX7 / Silvia on Roots Charger - SpeedCross Suspension - Drag Tyres - Drift Differential - 6Speed Manual 3rd Gear or 5Speed Auto. There are tens of different things as well, but I will not get into all of them unless you want to have a detailed chat about it. For now, test this and you'll see.
I really appreciate this advice. I will for sure check out the builds you’ve laid out here. Thanks for taking the time write out all of this detailed info!!!!
Artur you won’t be able to hit the higher speeds necessary for huge turns and hold a drift. It’ll be drift but I think it needs max speed potential to do everything it needs to
@@artur5338 Nah mate, the level of handling parts doesn't really matter until you're sure its the right part for your tune. What you want is the dot to be at dead center on the extreme right.
3 things I've noticed about drifting in NFS Heat. 1. The further towards drift your tuning is, the more points you earn for near identical drifts. 2. Turning steering sensitivity all the way down actually made the vehicle MUCH more controllable. 3. Having the tuning as close to the middle as possible between on and off road makes for seamless transition between road and dirt. The placement on the tuning chart means more to your control and score than what parts you actually use. Except drag tires, with their potential to cause wheelies.
I have NEVER got 3 stars on a drift activity. Thank you so much man for helping me with not only a nice vehicle but actually telling me how to drift. I always thought I had to hold my joystick the way I was turning, not moving it back and forth
The brakes do matter, the higher the grade the more your wheels lock up, you don’t want too much lock up so you can get a nice continuous drift. Brakes matter a lot for drifting in this game, I would recommend not going past pro brakes, I always use sport brakes and they seem to do me just fine.
I used to run a Silvia with Showcase Diff, Showcase Suspension and Drag Tires cause the Drift Tires causes to little grip and was nailing drift events. Then switched to RX7 with same setup and it was even better. I found manual transmission was awesome for drifting too, 3rd gear entering the turn, 2nd gear to maintain
Just copied this build and settings guide. Got 3 stars on all drift zones in an hour and a half after not being able to drift at all. Thanks for the help. The drifting actually became my favourite trophy in the game 👍
I just started playing NFS Heat in 2021. I understand it came out in end of 2019, but the game is fun, I think it’s well put together, it’s not pay to play nor is it hard to rank up or gain $$$, I mean don’t get me wrong it’s a grind but it’s not anything crazy. I have referenced your videos a lot over the last 3 months. Great content.
Because of you, I believe I have some of the sickest cars for my taste, I had the pro showcase equipped, so I questioned you at first but I worked so much better for my car thank you!
Thanks for the build! My advise while using your build is put the game into manual mode & hold the Evo in 3rd & 4th gear, enter turns in 4th & downshift to 3rd while pinning the gas. Easier to drift at the top of the rpm band than letting the car up shift on its own. Edit: 3rd & 4th aren’t magical gears, you may need to do the drift even/zone a few times & see what gear/speed you should be at.
