- Watch Wendy's Video: • Can I make $1 fabric l...
@WithWendy visited California and we last minute decided to challenge each other to make something from the $1/yard fabric section only. BUT the catch is that we have to pick out each others fabric! The fabric shop requires you to by a minimum of 3 yards, so Wendy bought a total of $3 for me and I bought 4 yards for Wendy since it was the very last of the roll (total $4). We hope you enjoyed this collab!

I’m a fan since 2017 from 🇵🇭 I remember the first video that I watched was the curtain and turned out into amazing dress. From then I got inspired.
Hi April. You do such a great job on your blouse with the fabric that wendy bought for you. Where did you get your earrings? Very pretty great job agsin.
You both have amazing channels, always enjoy y'alls makes :)
Wendy sent me. subscribed 🇨🇦
The blouse really does look expensive. Especially the way she styled it. She looks like she came straight out of “Crazy Rich Asians”
Donnie P. Lol YASS that’s the vibe 😎
Yess thats what I thought!!!
lol you speak my mind
Yes she does
Totally ❤❤❤
April being an extra in "Crazy Rich Asians" 🤑 And that's made of a $1 fabric, wow.
Absolutely!
That's the same thought I had at the reveal. The expensive looking sunglasses and earrings just scream Crazy Rich Asians at brunch.
I think I need to find the $1 piece of fabric place here in Seattle!
The one and only glamorously unstoppable April!! The modelling shots gave me total project payoff satisfaction, I'm so grateful to have you as a friend
我觉得这次你赢了,我更喜欢你的设计。
Love both of your transformations. Awesome job!! ♥️♥️
are you kidding me?! this is amazing. you're so talented
Maryam Hussain thank you!!
You look very Parisian to me. I love the ombre and asymetrical sleeves.
Ashleigh Sanders agreed! 😍
Extremely couture!!! Congratulations--this fabric is really hard to work with, and your asymmetrical design only adds to the challenge, which you aced! I am very impressed.
Karen Stimson aww thank you!!!!
I actually like that only the arm and the tie is darker. Having the body also darker, it would have been too busy. VERY cool, great job! And oh this collab is FAB
Wow, I must say I was shocked at what this turned into. Seeing you speed through this it seemed like you were just throwing something together in a hurry for something to sew on a boring Sunday afternoon. It ended up being a very classy, stylish, trend setting piece of fashion that looks hyper expensive alongside those accessories.
The collab we've been waiting for!!!!
Hallie Harmon yassss 😘
This is soooo sleek and cool!
I love how much more creative you seem whenever you do challenges with other people. I absolutely love both of your content for very different reasons but you two have the same wonderful passion for drafting and making original pieces of clothing and it inspiresbme a ton ❤️
where is this $1 a yard place?! 🤩
aleana journal fabric in LA
I would really like to have something like this near me!
I might be able to go there since I live in LA but what will I even do there?
Margot BAUVAIS same. Houston has fuck-all
@@coolirpa THANK U
Still funny that the “French seam” is called “English seam” in The Netherlands where I live
That two different sleeve lengths and the collar detail made this piece special.
This really turned out BEAUTIFUL! I hope you save all of your sketches for when you become a famous designer. Not kidding you are extremely talented
That color looks beautiful with your skin tone. I would have had no idea what to do with that fabric lol. It's fantastic! Good job!
Beth Ann it was so hard!! I’m just happy I finished and didn’t give up haha
Ypu took me back to my budget days and fashion school days when i had creators block.. i didnt trust myself but at the end it worked out.. beautiful!!!
My two faves coming together🙌🏻😭
Not even kidding, she can take a trash bag and turn it into gold 😔
Jam Jam Next video idea
Check out Micarah Tewers chicken feet bag and cd party dress. A recycle challenge. Would never be mistaken for a crazy rich Asian.
DAYUM! This looks incredible and super expensive! Just goes to show that any fabric can be made to look good if made into the correct garment. Fantastic eye!
Hey If you have a minute please watch my video where I recreate a shein top out of scratch

How?! The design is absolutely fabulous! Stunning! I'm at a loss for words. I'll just sit here quietly and appreciate your talent.
It is freaking UNREAL how amazing this top turned out. The concept was so interesting and the final product was just stunning 😍
Wowzers! That's talent. The fabric is gorgeous, but the design makes it a piece of art. Great job!
Girl. This design was PHENOMENAL!!!
Oh my goodness, the shoot looked like something out of Vogue.
you really snapped with this top. i love it 😍
Gorgeous high end garment. I think going without the lining was a bold, imaginative choice that, in this case, heightens the design. Your styling is perfect. Amazing work.
So brilliant of you and Wendy to create this challenge. I love both your creations! Sooo fashionista!
Because of you I found my talent in sewing.
OMG 😮😍, are you kidding me??? Astonishing. Gorgeous. Wow. 👏
Tied in the back... boss lady. With a bow tie... a present for some lucky guy.
I love how it is almost a style swap video as well ughhhhhh this collab is loveee.
Absolutely gorgeous and totally unique. Hard to believe it is only $1.00 per yard fabric!
Beautiful, such great talents and very beautiful lady's!!! Love both of your blouse and her dress!!!!
So cool to see them both on a vid. THE 2 SEWING MACHINE GODDESSES!!!
My two fav tailors together! This collaboration is awesome!
How is this possible to be soooo talented omg💕💕💕
the blouse you made is really fancy and looks really nice with the white pants and gold earrings
Love it! definitely one of the most creative channels on youtube. You should consider making a whole line.
SeniArts _ thank you!!! One day 😉😉
You and Wendy are artists! What brains!
When I first saw the fabric I thought it looked cheap - pretty, but not very stylish. But then I saw the blouse on and was shocked. You did an amazing job!
Collab of the century
oh my!! I am so impressed. Thank you so much fashion designer lady!
Oh yes to the side bow! Super cute!
Very beautiful! You and Wendy both did a great job! Blessings all!!!!! 💜💜
That fabric is so magical
I loved the fact that you used $1 fabric. When I was raising three daughters, I enjoyed challenging myself. Great show! Please show us more fabric you had to choose from.
Super cute! Love it. I loved how you draped it and showed how you got the big puffy sleeves. Learned so much just watching it.
wow you ladies have so much talent and creativity! so beautiful, thank you !
Thank you girls for the Challenge and the outcome both are great again thank you and Cheers!
Totally turned out amazing!!! That fabric looked like a total challenge to work with!!
I love how your top turned out. It's absolutely beautiful. Well done and much love to you two.
Next time I wanna come and hang out with y'all! ❤
I'm so glad you guys are friends you both have taught me so much!
Blouse should be in Fashion Week. Amazing.
You both did a fantastic job, kudos to both of you.
I bought a transparent fabric that is super pretty and didn't know what to create without a lining but now you just made me want to use it!!!
You did a fantastic job. Love both of you ladies design.
You and Wendy are both brilliant!! I love the creations that you made! Both are gorgeous! You should do another challenge. Maybe use bedspreads or sheets or curtains. Something thrifted maybe...
So cool, sassy and diva. I loved the finished product.
Absolutely LOVING it!
Excellent job ! Turned out really very pretty. Looks very posh paired with your white pants. Beautiful 🥀
The silhouette of this top is so bomb!!!
Idk why but this blouse reminded me of Simona's style from "Why women kill". That 80s puff
Yess. That show is brilliant
This was fantastically beautiful
April, you’re really talented! Hope you’ll have a boutique and sell those transformations. Very Unique, the one who’ll buy it will be sure that she’ll wear one of a kind piece!
This was amazing, turned out so chic and serious project runway status. I hated the fabric when I saw it out of the bag and as soon as you started draping I fell in love with the idea of a looser caftan style silhouette. What you made is perfect! I love your channel because you have a technical construction education. I've only taken one college apparel sewing class and a couple weeks of pattern drafting but anyone with a more technical sewing education could follow along with this. I really appreciate the elevated proper techniques used here.
Yes finally something different ! Was definitely getting bored of strapy dresses
You always look so chic! My favorite part of your videos is when you model the finishing clothing :)
As a filipina, this really reminds me of a modern-couture version of a filipinana dress (except it's a blouse lol).
Traditional, but make it fashion.
I hope u will have a next challenge. You both are queens DIY. Can't wait to see next challenge.
I love the results of the challenge with Wendy. You both created gold. The blouse, wow. The upscale tucked in look, perfection. New subscriber.
you go girl! That was very detailed and you made it look so easy. Enjoy your creation
Wow April! You’re creative and so talented! The skies the limit for you!
So much talent - so gorgeous!
Great job, by 2 great fashionst!!!

Beautiful - enjoyed both of your outfits - you both did a tremendous job with your garments!
That was the bomb! Excellent work! No one would ever guess that it was 1.00 per yard!
No one would even know the fabric was cheap🤔👌🏾 Love your work!
I love that this is so unique! I am impressed by your imagination
The blouse is so cute and sophisticated. Great job.
OH WOW thats gorgeous
I'm so glad I found your video because I've been struggling with the fit of my organza top and the one you made here looks so stunning! The steps you followed are really clear and it's all the help I needed❤❤ thank you!!
very very talented and now i understand how to handle the off the shoulder after watching you cut off the cap of the sleeves

Not gonna lie. I did not expect it to look THAT good. 😍

Btw this top is effing amazing!! I love when you and Wendy come together and create something. It’s like watching your favorite two cartoon shows and they writers make the alternate universes merge 🤩
This blouse looks so rich and fancy!
