Dragon Ball Super is getting more and more intense as the Future Trunks arc unfolds in the future trunks timeline. As of episode 61 we have been given a slew of ever unfolding plot as to how Goku Black came to be. Trunks, Vegeta, and Goku are having a difficult time dealing with these villains as timelines become more confusing by the minute. who is goku black?

Bruh as soon as I saw the "black goes to trunks timeline" I was lost
In his timeline, there were no z fighters left except future trunks himself. It was already lost match for trunks when zamasu arrived. The writers should have ended future trunks story when he killed cell of his timeline and let him leave alone to live in peace from there on, but they hate him so much that they again sent zamasu to destroy his already destroyed life and world... So sad !!! 😢😞😭

No, Zamasu made the DBZ timeline complicated. Back then Trunks introduced multiverse theory which is really easy the follow. Then Zamasu comes and complicates things with, whatever the heck he did to make this possible.

@@sonicgen20 No, Toei Animation made the DRAGONBALL timeline far too complicated, Toyotaro made in the Manga the arc of Future Trunks more logic and easy to understand than what the anime gave us of a never ending time loop.

It should also be noted that Trunks does NOT create another timeline when he travels back in Super since he is from a separate timeline and thus does not create a paradox. Also going to the future also does not create a timeline. So there is no “Super Timeline.” There is just the Zamasu, Beerus, and Future Trunks timelines.
So now we are living in a timeline where Beerus killed Zamasu. Right?? So when Zeno killed black Goku ( which was from super timeline) and Zamasu (which was from future trunks timeline) in the future trunks timeline. Now peace returns and Trunks and Mai went back to their timeline. So please explain me what happened to Earth and Earthlings there when they came back to their timeline?? Because Zamasu killed all the Gods and even Super Dragonballs of their timeline.

I think there’s a key part missing to the Goku Black/Zamasu arc and it may sound confusing... It’s starts with the Zamasu who became Goku Black. Before Zamasu became Goku Black he fought Goku and that’s where he got the idea to steal Goku’s body. In episode 50 Goku Black follows Trunks to the main timeline and spars with Goku and it’s here where Beerus and Whis realize that Black’s ki feels similar to Zamasu in Universe 10 and then they go there. In episode 53 Goku fights Zamasu and here is where Zamasu decides it’s time to take action. In Goku Black’s timeline, before Zamasu became Black, these events couldn’t have happened because Beerus and Whis would’ve needed to feel Blacks ki to recognize who it belonged to and at that point, Goku Black didn’t exist. In other words, at that point Goku and Zamasu didn’t know each other.

All those events that happen to make him Goku Black. Which means after fighting zamasu 1st time. Goku just went back home and chilled. Then Chi Chi and Goten got killed.

This where the manga made it easier to understand, in the manga zamasu didn't meet goku, instead he watched goku fight through RUclips version of dbs, and from this he started to get the idea and come to know who is goku, and this what me be true goku black timeline origin, the manga did black arc better than anime, in truth black goku origin may not be paradox but another timeline where zamasu come to know goku in some ways and he got the idea, in anime he got the idea after meeting and seeing power of goku but in another timeline maybe he saw his fights in another way.
To make it simple how zamasu arc worked
It started with a timeline where zamasu saw goku in some ways and decided to steal his body and killed goku family and this is black goku origin.
Black Goku Then Goes to Future Trunks Timeline and meet Zamasu from trunks timeline and this how their plan started.
In truth we can see the true main world of DB is Trunks Timeline and this may be why Goku Black goes there.
Then the story main timeline come in mix with goku and vegeta go to trunks timeline to save it.
Its simple in terms of timeline but the events and how it happen is confusing, the most confusing part is Goku Black Origin Timeline since he come from alternative timeline which seems to me is really tragic timeline since in truth this timeline still exists mean in that's time all goku family is dead (we don't know what goku black did to gohan but it's obvious that's he wasn't strong enough that's time to face vegeta so he run away)
@@Dcthetruth85 I don't think zamasu stole Gokus body after he lost to goku, I think he stole his body after watching godtube which featured a video of goku fighting hit and the winner getting the super dragon balls. I think it was at this point when he decided to use the super dragon balls to steal gokis body, which makes present time zamasu fight with ssj2 goku possible.
What about cells time line it was the original timeline he killed trunks to get the time machine to travel there
There were cyborgs there, Trunks had defeated them but Cell ambushed Trunks before he traveled back in time to visit the Z warriors.
easy to explain - it isn't time travel that can have an effect on the past and future but more multiverse theory, each time Trunks travels he isn't going to another time, he is going to another universe so each Trunks is different and why his travels are having no impact on his own timeline (universe).
Although a good explanation of what happened in super, the descriptions of the time lines are wrong, trunks travelling to the present did not create a new timeline, he just entered the "Super" timeline (as you called it).
Also the time loop consists of:
1. Goku fighting Zamasu
2. Zamasu deciding to take goku's body due to the fight
3. Zamasu Killing gowasu
4. Zamasu acquiring the dragon balls to swap bodies and become black
5. Travelling to future Trunk's timeline
6. Black killing almost everyone
7. Trunks escaping to our present
8. Trunks getting the Z fighters to investigate black
9. Goku deciding that he needs to fight zamasu as part of the investigation.

The multiverse theory from DBZ was fairly easy to understand. But by god Super really made it complicated with Zamasu's shananagans.

Don't you remember the reason Zamasu stole Goku's body was because he was challenged by Goku and lost. That's when Zamasu realized how special Goku was and did the unthinkable. If Goku had never challenged or met Zamasu, there wouldn't be Black causing chaos.

Goku would never need to fight zamasu if black didn't already exist, so that can't be the reason. Trunks went back in time to a period before he watched godtube then ssj2 goku fought zamasu, that zamasu (who fought ssj2) was never able to manifest his plan in any time line.
It is explained by Gowasu that a green Time Ring appears when an alternate timeline is created. With five green Time Rings being shown aside from the main silver Time Ring for their own timeline, it is known that there are six different timelines.
Timeline 1: Main timeline
Timeline 2: Future Trunks' own timeline
Timeline 3: Cell's (killed by Gohan) timeline
Timeline 4: This timeline had the same events as Timeline 1 until during the Androids Saga when the Z Fighters manage to defeat the Androids because Cell from another timeline never came to interfere. Meaning that this was a timeline only altered by Trunks from timeline 3.
Timeline 5: The Trunks who existed in this timeline visited Timeline 3 (Cell's timeline) in order to defeat Future Frieza3 and Future King Cold3. He presumably never returned to Timeline 3 after heading back to Timeline 5 and the Z Fighters there were killed by that timeline's Androids, or he may have returned only to die alongside them fighting the Androids.
Timeline 6: Goku Black's timeline.
This timeline is the original unaltered flow of time of the Main Timeline, in which in this timeline Beerus did not destroy Zamasu in Age 780.
Zamasu kills Gowasu and steals his Time Ring. He then uses the Super Dragon Balls to switch bodies with Goku and becomes Goku Black.
Black then kills Goku (in Zamasu's body), Goten and Chi-Chi, and eventually travels to Timeline 2 for initiating his Zero Humans Plan (which leads to a series of events and results in the alteration of this time stream and creates an altered time stream).
These events are in the original version of Timeline 1.
When Future Trunks time-traveled to the present, Main timeline (Timeline 1) to seek help against Goku Black, he altered the original course of events, as well as the Main Timeline itself, as he traveled to a period of time in the Main Timeline where Zamasu had not yet knew of Goku's existence, and in warning the Dragon Team of Goku Black, the Z Fighters were alerted to the existence of Zamasu. This lead to Beerus Destroying Zamasu in the altered Main Timeline, inadvertently creating another timeline, due to the fact that when a god kills another god, the timeline is affected.
But Zamasu wouldn't have switched with Goku in timeline 1 if Trunks hadn't come back in time already

@@VEMZOfficial I always thought that in Goku Black's own timeline, before he ever time travels, he swaps bodies of the Goku from that timeline. It didn't seem like he traveled to another timeline just to swap bodies with another Goku. That's why I dispute Goku Black traveling to Timeline 6. I always thought he was from that timeline.
4 years later and still after a good explanation, the question remains: how did Black happened since it was recquired that Goku fought Zamasu in order to Black even exists and the only reason Goku fought Zamasu WAS because of Black ALREADY existing? Completely nonsense of Toei, doesn't matter how many timelines we create in our minds, there's always a need for something to CAUSE the effects and we can burn our brains as bad as we want, there's no way that "X happened because of Y, but in order for Y to happen X needed to happen first". Even Microsoft Excel doesn't accept this kind of logic and returns "ERROR - crossed reference" when you try to make this kind of thing there.

I seriously thought I had solved the whole thing, but I also just remembered the only reason Black existed was because Goku fought Zamasu, which sparked only because Black appeared after Trunks traveled to the past. I was about 90 percent right about it EXCEPT for that part, which again like you said, begs the question: WHERE DID IT ALL START? HOW DID SUCH A TIME LOOP COME TO BE?? This shit makes no fucking sense...
@@meitroxgaming6988 It really is nonsensical. It's pretty unfortunate. This video is actually correct in the sense that it aligns with the explanation given by Toei (and Whis describes it the same way after the saga is over) but it still doesn't actually make any sense. I think the problem is that the show never tells us how that causal loop exists in any form where Beerus DOESN'T kill Zamasu. Goku Black traveling back in time is basically what directly leads to his own destruction, so how did this loop EVER exist?
This is not the canonical explanation, but what makes more sense to me is that TRUNKS is the one who changed history:
Zamasu never meets/fights Goku, but sees him on GodTube > He steals Goku's body > He travels to Future Trunks' timeline > Trunks travels back in time and creates a new timeline (the one we are watching and are familiar with) > Goku fights Goku Black and then Zamasu > Beerus kills Zamasu > Goku Black/s erasure is prevented by the Time Ring, but his whole original timeline where he was created is erased and now his "history" is merged with our main timeline's history.
This explanation makes more sense to me and explains why Goku Black remembers fighting Goku (as Zamasu) but doesn't get killed by Beerus as a result. Him being alive creates a paradox and he now has a mixture of histories from two different timelines. Of course though, the show's explanation doesn't support this theory and instead, they give us a much more confusing and convoluted explanation that makes next to no sense at all.

@@consciousmindgame5047 That's kind of the part that doesn't really make sense. So the Zamasu that eventually became Goku Black would have had to have come from a timeline VERY similar to the one we see in the show...except somehow he was never killed by Beerus. The paradox that occurs with that (and what makes it confusing) is that Goku Black states that he fought Goku back when he was Zamasu. The problem is that if that Zamasu fought Goku, then he should have been killed by Beerus shortly after yet that doesn't happen to him.... We aren't really sure what the difference was as for why our Zamasu was killed by Beerus yet that other one was allowed to live and become Goku Black. There's not really a good explanation for any of it, so if you're still confused, it's not your fault.
The easiest way to think about it is:
Our timeline Zamasu = killed by Beerus
Similar timeline Zamasu = not killed by Beerus, became Goku Black
Trunks' timeline Zamasu = becomes immortal

You forgot the unseen timeline. The one timeline that we have little knowledge about. All we know is that the original trunks went there gave goku the cure helped them fight the androids gets the plans to destroy the android trunks goes back to his timeline he give bulma the plans trunks makes a device to kill the androids and ends up getting killed by cell since the unseen timeline didn't have a future cell that force the z fighter to go to the hbtc.

We all want to know how Zamasu originally discovered goku in order to make black. They make it seem like goku wanting to spar with him is the reason he stole gokus body but he had already found him long before that

:) There couldn't be any time loop because it contradicts both logic and Dragon Ball time travel rules! The spar between Goku and Zamy can't be the cause of Black because Black already exists and they go to meet Zamy because of Black existing, it goes against cause-effect logic!
It's simpler! Zamy that took Goku's body comes from another timeline where he sparred with Goku for other reasons (the manga suggests that Kaioshin arranged the meeting) and then he took his body, went to the future and so on....
Trunks traveled back and gave origin to the timeline where Goku sparred with Zamy looking for a Ki similar to Black's and ultimately Beers killed Zamas!

Time loops are plot holes/inconsistencies in any fiction, but in Dragon Ball is even more non-sense than it usually is since the rules of Dragon Ball say that time travels cause many different timelines so definitely cannot be time loop (non-sense, illogic, etc) it's simply that Zamas stole Goku's body in the original timeline and Trunks created the variation we saw by traveling back!

In fact Terminator is a failed story based on an illogical plot hole! And there are often these inconsistencies even in Harry Potter or other series... They are simply bad writing of the plot... Yeah This most closely resembles the Bootstrap paradox in which someone does something which leads to their own creation. Like John conner in Terminator, Black's actions lead to his creation. Paradoxes by their nature ARE logically impossible, however I do enjoy when they are part of fiction cuz it is interesting and fun to think about. Time loops do contradict Dragon Ball time travel rules though, its just that each time they go back and cause a loop, a new timeline is created instead (except here lol) :)
These are the timelines of Dragon Ball:
*Dragon Ball Super:*
*Timeline #1 and Timeline #2:*
A being from U12 travels to timeline #1's past. He changes an event which leads to a different outcome in history from timeline #1 and, as a result, he creates timeline #2. Time travel was then forbidden by the gods even among themselves.
*Dragon Ball Z:*
*Timeline #1 and/or Timeline #2:*
In one of these two timelines Future Trunks' history happens and, in order to stop the androids, he travels in time using the time machine Future Bulma built for him to prevent the death of Goku and find a way to beat the androids.
*Note:* Seeing as how the effects of the events changed probably were contained within Universe 12, it's very likely that Future Trunks' history happened in both of these timelines. However, what does that mean? Does it mean that each Future Trunks went to the past and created a new timeline for each timeline? This could imply a lot of things, including an entire set of timelines apart from the ones we know. Then again, one has to think, why don't we have more time rings? But it could be due to them being a different set. Who knows? We are going too deep here.
*Timeline #3:*
Trunks arrives 24 years before his current time. He is successful in preventing Goku's death creating in effect the third timeline. He returns to his timeline, stays for 8 months until fuel can be synthesized for the time machine for him to travel once more. He meets them 3 years into the future since he last arrived in their timeline, when the androids would surface. He was then ultimately successful in defeating the androids by deactivating them with a control remote built by this timeline's Bulma. He then returned to whichever of the two timelines above he is from. The events that happen after these are unknown in this timeline. It is often refered to as the unseen timeline.
*Timeline #1 and/or Timeline #2:*
He arrives back to his time and deactivates the androids using the control remote from the past. Trunks wishes to return to the past to tell his friends the good news, but, before he can do this, he is ambushed by Cell. Cell takes his time machine and travels one year before Future Trunks arrives in timeline #3.
*Timeline#4:*
Cell arrives and burrows himself underground since he had to revert to his larval stage in order to fit inside the time machine. He stayed four years maturing and awakened in his adult stage coinciding with the arrival of the androids. Apparently this somehow caused Android 20 to be able to deactivate Androids 17 and 18 in time which spared his life for a while longer. When the time came, the Z fighters found 19 and 20 instead of 17 and 18. Shortly after, Bulma was notified of the time machine Cell brought with him, his cacoon and his sheded skin. Bulma retrieved the time machine and kept it. The rest we know if we watched D.B Z.
*Timeline #5:*
When Future Trunks returned to his timeline, he was able to defeat the androids with his bare hands thanks to his training in the hyperbolic chamber (and the zenkai boost received by being killed by Cell). Knowing about Cell's existence, he is now on guard. As Cell is prepared to ambush him, Trunks calls him out and fights him. In the end, Future Trunks wins this time around and Cell is obliterated.
*Note:* Since Future Trunks already arrived to this timeline, the copy of Future Trunks from timeline #4 should have met Future Trunks from timeline #1 or #2. In Super (manga version), an explaination is given about two timelines being linked when you travel to the past. Time would pass at an equal rate between the two as long as the link is active. This link weakens as time passes. If he does not return to the future in time he will create another parallel world. This might explain why he never met the previous Future Trunks. Props to Toyotaro for being a genius if he actually thought about this.
*Dragon Ball Super:*
*Timeline #4:*
13 years have passed since Future Trunks visited last. Zamasu and Goku meet and fight in the anime which makes him resent Goku and the mortals. In the manga, Zamasu merely heard about Goku surpassing gods from Kibito after sparing with him. He was then invited by Gowasu to oversee the progress of the Babari over 1,000 years. Seeing as they have not changed much, Zamasu's disdain toward mortals grows even more.
Afterward, he watched U6 and U7 tournament with Gowasu through GodTube and finds out about the Super Dragon Balls. In the manga, he was deliberately researching Goku's potential through GodTube and similarly he found out about the Super Dragon Balls. He went to Zuno's palace and pressured him to tell him about Goku and where he could find the Super Dragon Balls. He was informed that he could not use them in a span of 1 year. So when he returned, he killed Gowasu, stole his potaras and time ring and traveled one year into the future.
There he wished to exchange his body with Goku's becoming Goku Black. He travels to Earth and kills Goku, Chi - chi and Goten. Knowing that Beerus would meddle in his plans, he decided to visit the previous parallel worlds until he found about Future Trunks' timeline which is aproximately 15 years into the future relative to his timeline.
There the Supreme Kai has died and due to the life link they share with Gods of Destruction, they die as well and in turn that deactivates the angel that serves the God of Destruction which presumably leaves them in a coma.
*Timeline #5:*
12 years have passed since Future Trunks last time traveled. Dabura and Babidi appeared trying to resurrect Majin Buu with Trunks' energy. In the process, Kibito and Supreme Kai died, but Trunks was able to kill Babidi and Dabura before they could awaken Majin Buu.
Ceasing the opportunity, Black decides to stay since Beerus is now dead in this world and Whis is inactive. He went to the Supreme Kai realm of U10. He killed Gowasu once more and introduced himself to his future counterpart. He gave him one of his potaras and using the Super Dragon Balls, Future Zamasu wished for immortality.
Afterwards, Goku Black killed all of the universes' Supreme Kai which also killed the Gods of Destruction and deactivated their angels. Then, with no obstacles, between the two, they started to purge the universes from mortals. When it was Earth's turn, Goku Black met resistence from Future Trunks.
After a year has passed, seeing as he was no match for Goku Black, Future Bulma had finished preparing the fuel for the time machine for Future Trunks before being killed by Black. Future Trunks manages to time travel, but he barely makes it. Goku Black's time ring reacts to the space - time wormhole his time machine left behind and pursued Future Trunks.
*Timeline #6:*
Future Trunks travels 17 years into the past relative to timeline #5 when arriving to timeline #4. He meets with the Z fighters once again. Black then shows up in the past. While challenging Goku to a battle, Whis senses Zamasu's ki in Goku Black. Once he was forced back into Future Trunks' timeline by his time ring, Whis carried out an investigation. Unfortunately, before he was sent back, Goku Black destroyed the time machine.
In the anime, Bulma remembers about the time machine brought by Cell and starts reverse engineering it. Meanwhile, Goku, Beerus and Whis visit Kaioshin realm 10. Goku battles with Zamasu which leaves him bitter. Then they leave. Bulma prepared more fuel for the time machine so Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks can travel to the future. Future Zamasu reveals himself there and after a battle they could not win, they all returned to the past. They told the crew about Future Zamasu and Whis concluded that Gowasu's life was in danger.
They traveled a second time to Gowasu's and there, once the evidence was gathered, Beerus destroyed Zamasu. In doing so, he has created a parallel world (timeline #6) where Black never came into being and a new time ring manifested.
Beerus told everyone that Black has been erased, but when they returned to the future nothing has changed and Black still remained in that timeline. This is because the original flow of time that shaped him still existed. That is why the new green time ring manifested in the new parallel world created by Beerus. It represents timeline #4.
In the manga, the crew unmasked Goku Black's identity quickly. Whis and Beerus travel without Goku to Gowasu's place and Beerus destroys Zamasu before he could kill Gowasu.
*Timeline #7:*
The Future King of All destroyed Universe 7, because Zamasu's spirit was everywhere and the world was empty. He was taken to timeline #6 to be friends with King of All of the present. Whis proposed to Future Trunks that he could use his time machine to go to timeline #5's past and prevent the death of Beerus by sparing Supreme Kai's life in the Babidi - Dabura conflict. This alone would have created timeline #7. Whis would then warn Future Beerus about Future Zamasu and Goku Black. Apparently he was going to help them as well by doing something more effective than the mafuba technique.
However, none of this was seen and whatever happened is unknown. Judging by what Whis said he was going to do and how he then appears relaxed in future episodes, they were successful in stopping them.

The way I see it, any use of the time ring or Beerus's erasure/Hawaii (Divine intervention) doesn't create a split in the timeline (following multiverse rules). So Goku Black merging into Future Trunk's timeline and Beerus erasing Zamasu simply are just events that happen pruning all other quantum outcomes since they are the work of the kais/gods.

Because Beerus prevents Zamasu from killing Gowasu. Killing Zamasu splits the timeline so there is a NEW timeline where Gowasu lives, but the other timeline where Gowasu is killed remains the same.

I currently at ep. 61, and I think you explain really well on what in the anime said. but I think the complicated part is when the time of black goku followed future trunks in the present to the time goku fights the present zamasu. that span of time is the scenario that confuses us of what scenario happened first? because there's no black goku if goku did not suspected and fight zamasu, and goku would not go to zamasus place if he didn't meet black goku🤔😰😄

I recently watched a video that breaks down and explains the 4 timelines from the android saga; very well explained and very interesting.
This timeline in the Goku Black arc doesn’t make any sense, in fact it’s impossible for Goku Black to exist. He only comes into existence because Trunks travels back in time, tells them about Black who then shows up and battles Goku before getting dragged Back to the Future. Goku then meets Zamasu for the first time which gives him the idea of stealing his body and Black is born. In other words Trunks comes back to tell them about someone who can’t possibly exist in his timeline, and by doing so creates that same someone, who magically does exist in his timeline even though it’s not possible as in Trunks timeline Goku died of the heart virus.
It only makes sense in the manga where Zamasu sees Goku on Godtube (can’t believe that’s actually a thing🤦🏻♂️) and that’s where he gets his idea and his plans begin. In the anime it’s literally impossible for Goku Black to exist.
The time paradox creates another timeline where in 1 zamasu follows his plan and another one where zamasu never got to be black i assume, your mainquestion is who is the first goku black and my assume its based on a time paradox like it was in Z with trunks killing cell in his future and dying to him>cell traveling in the past to absorb andriods getting killed by gohan etc, but from that timeline trunks trained goes back to his future and kills cell later on

Zamasu motivation always confuses me and this confirmed it. He takes gokus body bc he beat him but all of the things that lead up to goku meeting zamasu implies goku black already existed. So I wasn’t crazy this is a very complicated storyline with little rules to keep it along a straight line

This honestly helped clear up my major question about the arc: HTF IS GOKU BLACK IN TRUNK’S TIMELINE?! Initially it didn’t make sense because Goku Black is Zamasu’s soul in Goku’s body so it doesn’t make sense for him to be in Trunk’s timeline because the Goku of that timeline is dead.
Thankfully this video cleared it up for me that Goku Black is from an entirely separate timeline (I believe the reason why there are multiple timelines that follow the Super continuity without an infinite number of Trunks’ having to have survived the androids and go to an infinite number of timelines to create the Android saga as we know it is because all the other timelines branch from a moment after the Android saga) and the immortal Zamasu is the one who is from Trunks’ timeline.

There's just one problem with your theory.trunks traveled to the present because of zamasu which means that everything that zamasu did had all already been done in some other timeline
Thats what the time loop/paradox is. Goku Black followed Trunks to the past leading to Goku fighting Zamasu, leading to Zamasu becoming Goku Black. There is no start or end to the loop. The timeline we are seeing in the show is the one where Beerus kills Zamasu, creating another timeline.

Don't worry if your head hurts, none of it makes sense. There is no way that you can explain it that doesn't have more holes in it than a block of cartoon cheese. For example, most explanations forget that Zamasu is from Universe 10 not Universe 7, a big hole. This is because when we see Zamasu and Gowasu travel to the future, they travel to the Universe 10 future and not an alternate future thereby setting up a rule. When you use the time ring you travel to your Universes (the one that you are in) direct future not an alternate one. People keep forgetting that Zamasu is not from Universe 7, he is from Universe 10. In addition, the Universe 10 Zamasu that spawns Goku Black is not part of the DB Universes original timeline. In the original time line Goku is dead. He died from a heart disease. Therefore the original timeline Zamasu could not have switched bodies with Goku.
Next up somehow, an ALTERNATE time line version of Zamasu from Universe 10 was able to end up in the Universe 7 ORIGINAL time line. Goku, Bulma, Vegeta and Future Trunks getting there is sketchy at best, but at least you can say it is because they travelled with Future Trunks. I have no idea what the explanation would be for Zamasu/Goku Black who is from an alternate timeline somehow, travelling forwards in time, to the ORIGINAL timeline. Then you have the problem of Goku Black recruiting Zamasu. Those events have already happened so he is really from the future:
Zamasu finds out about Goku somehow. He then kills Gowasu and becomes Kai. He then uses the Dragon balls to switch with Goku. He then kills goku/zamasu. He then travels to the future and kills Gowasu? He would be moving further away from the true original time line that future Trunks is from. Maybe he travels to some alternate future where Zamasu hadn't killed Gowasu yet, but then that contradicts the rule they set up earlier where zam and gowasu travel to the direct future, not an alternate one.
I'm thinking that either the person who tried to come up with the story messed up big time or the translation is wrong.

A separate timeline is created when someone tries to change the past. That’s why the future cant be changed. All 12 universes exist in each timeline.

Neither trunks travelling to the super timeline or Zamasu going to the trunks timeline will create a new timeline. If you travel too an already existing timeline it stays the same e.g if you go to 1884 and do something major. If you then travel to that same timeline in 1885 another one will not be created however if you then go back to 1883 you have yourself a new timeline which you can travel to whenever

There are actually 3 thanks to Beerus killing Zamasu which creates another timeline and time ring (this is confirmed by Whis in the show). So we have Future Trunks timeline, the main timeline where Beerus kills Zamasu (the one that we follow in the show), and the timeline where Zamasu fights Goku, is not killed by Beerus, and becomes Goku Black. The two Zamasu's are future trunks timeline Zamasu, and the one who becomes Goku Black.

If anyone is confused about why Goku black went to trunks’s time line is probably because when zamasu took Gokus body he prob kept his memory’s and remembered that trunks used time travel. So he tries to kill trunks
Firstly its not actually simply time machine and ring, those things only would travel in single timeline. This is 5D travelling.
In 5D universe whole bunch of new timelines are created in every time frame, one for each quantum possibility. You also never can know, if you are at real present, like here Gowasu went 1000 years in future, so it already is accessible and exists. Also universe have conservation behaviour, nothing is created from nothing and nothing dissapears. Moving things around 5D space like here is breaking this ruleset. Thats for that.
From story perspective. In one of timelines he killed kaioshin faster and got to be one. Using ring to get dragonballs also smart, but then you can start to bang head versus wall. Takes immortality, nice, and strong body, could have asked for body with max power instead. And, after all, asked for all "intelligent" lifes extinction or whatever he wants to define humans. In place hes running around universes and trying to kill them one by one in same manner he hated. Fighting fire with fire. God power to erase them would be much more sophisticated.
Atleast he really could not kill all gods as he claimed, only all kaioshins->destructors->their angels. Who knows what gods else lore contains at that level. And immortality works only versus for universes contained beings as dragon is created by one in them. So, more or less all gods can destroy him and thats what Zeno did. But that noone cared and didnt raised any alarms even after all universe's related gods were destroyed. Lazy god overseers.
Then so unbalanced fighting strenghts. One moment Black trains faster and is stronger than anybody, next he cant keep up. Then even ss2 Trunks are same level as Vegito and learns spirit sword XD. And all sequence im sitting bored and thinking why you keep fighting he is immortal and is growing in strength. Plus Even first fight versus beerus Goku had galaxy destructing power, but now earth even didnt got as much damage as usually versus other enemies before. Lazy power scaling.
And do not know in which order was used body switch and immortality, but that was done in that timeline and Black should be one immortal as helping Zamasu was from other timeline and isnt affected by wish. Also who knows who gains immortality, said soul or body, will not try to to solve that. But in any case this is other way around than in story.
Additional boringness factor comes from removed stakes. All fight happens in devastated timeline. Humanity is scarse and no dragonballs left. No really any need to fight for such timeline, let this crazy god take it and live happily in good timeline. Best fighters come from main timeline and can be wished back, if die in process as whole kind of Dragon balls exist there. But even after win Trunks and Mia better chooses to part away from their timeline just bit earlier and live in wasteland than join best of best timeline(main one). In any case there will be 2 copies of both.
Knowing that there is close to unlimited timelines only uneducated ones will fall emotional for loved deaths in other timelines, like Vegeta went berserk about killed relatives. Almost all of them will have worse case scenarios as main story is in one where all on edge wins happen.
Lastly i know that DB lore does not contain unlimited timelines and split only after someone changes it manually, but ou boy how hard author tried to get everything right after so many holes provided earlier in story, he knew that hes messed up himself.
Soo they were 3 zamasu. Main timeline one (hakaid), the one that becomes Goku Black and future Trunks one that helped Black. But Goku Black is actually the main timeline Zamasu cuz Trunks traveled to main timeline so if he didnt, Zamasu would never become Black. That would create a paradox but in DBS it just creates new timeline. Main timelines Zamasu is dead, 2nd main timelines Zamasu became Black and Trunks timeline Zamasu helped Black. Cuz Beerus killing Zamasu created new timeline we are watching rn. If Trunks never time traveled Zamasu would never become Black but Trunks coming to past led to the Goku fighting Zamasu. So Trunks kinda fucked up his own timeline accidently with creating Black, created 2nd main with creating Goku Black and saved the 1st main one.
In the future of trunks goku is dead how does zammy chan gets the body of goku?

the only reason I though the arc was, still I believe it's better explained in manga and the characters are very interesting and the action overall is pretty epic
You are right and wrong at the same time. You are right from the perspective of trunks but you forgot the timelines that created by zamasu its self. Because he also goes to past and changed the history. So it could be future trunks timeline where black goku created . But another invincible zamasu is still mystery for me.

It's not Whis who is creating the new timeline. Think of him wanting to look again at what Zamasu is doing. The one who makes the new timeline is Beerus after he intervenes with the event between Zamasu and Gowasu
