I think the problem with the balance between the Kais and the Destroyers is that most destroyers don’t actually do their job. At least it seems that way. Beerus sleeping for millions of years, and destroying things on a whim, like if the food tastes good. That and his own Kai fearing him seems to imply that the Kai’s and Destroyers aren’t actual equals. Most of the Destroyers seem to just enjoy luxurious lives rather than seeking out failing’s planets. So I could see how Zamasu would rather take the role of destruction in his own hands, since the ones assigned to the job don’t do it.

Oh, Rumoosh does do his job. He just doesn't place healthy value in intelligence. "Think with your muscles", wut. Because clearly we can develop interesting harmonic societies without addressing potential concerns that would require awareness and innovation. Kusu also overencourages him, which doesn't exactly help.
Not that Zamasu is exactly coming up with the correct answers. But All King knows I know where he is coming from because of paperwork clogging.

It is kinda funny, people use to think Kais were weak and useless and they should do more in the DB world.
Then Zamasu pulls up and actually does do something...By going from one logical extreme to another.

That's kinda not a good thing though, the people complaining about the Kais being passive are misunderstanding the role of the Kai. • @Naruku2121
      @Naruku2121 Год назад +8

@@temporalCaster Well as I said, by no means it's a good thing. It's just so surreal to think about a Kai for once actually takes matters in his own hands and this is the result: Causing one extreme to another. That in a round about way he achieved his goal, forcing Zeno's hand he caused him to wipe out an entire timeline's worth of mortals Future Trunks and Mai notwithstanding. Just it also by extension included Zamasu as well, so in a way some poetic justice of having two separate versions of himself to be wiped out by other godly beings.

Hold on, this brings in a new thought that hasn't occurred to me before.
With Zamasu's hatred for mortals, how the hell did he not connect the dots that the current Gods of Destruction were previously mortals themselves before earning their spot in the godly hierarchy?
Like Kais, the GOD apprentices would have to learn more about the complexities of the universes and divine laws more than they ever knew before with the help of the angels and their GOD teachers.
I mean, considering that the time the concept was new when Toppo was first introduced in the Exhibition Tournament for the TOP.
Zamasu would be so pissed that mortals have a use for worthiness in the divine hierarchy thanks to the Grand Priest and Zeno.

I feel like Zamasu was failed by his mentor(s), nobody tried to speak to him on his level and only spoke on their own. It makes me think a bit about how parents and children will often conflict due to this same thing. Of course the older Kai sees things differently, he's lived a whole life of experience that Zamasu hasn't. In the same way, parents get frustrated and fight with children. You have to reframe things in ways the other will understand, to find a common ground to stand on so you're giving your points more understandably. Not only that, but the lack of this effort has led Gowasu to have no clue about what's coming to him.
Something I always think of when it comes to perspectives and figuring out where to bridge the gap, is a study they did about how and why kids get hit by cars. I think it was specific to a city, I don't remember, but at one point they actually came down to the kids' level - physically - and realized the "beautification" of the city by installing hedges, fancy furniture, art, etc along the roads wound up with NONE of the kids being able to see oncoming traffic very well, AND the kids being HIDDEN to drivers until the worst happened. Everything was too big for kids to see over and obscured kids from being seen themselves. The city itself was built with adults in mind, not kids, and as a result a lot of kids were hurt or killed; nobody thought to ask whether this was something that affected visibility of and for children.
So, perspective. If someone had just been more observant and made themselves more communicative to Zamasu, they might have placed him properly as a destroyer and had him using his ideas in a constructive manner.

    • @MasterKnightDH
      @MasterKnightDH 9 месяцев назад +3

Both sides having a point here. I will still say that Zamasu made his own choices to be a sadist at multiple moments and that leaves him being a rabid hound needing to be put down, but I'll agree that he's not the only idiot involved in this mess. I agree fully that he'd have been better cast as a Destroyer even if he would likely have needed to be provided advice on who needs to be subjected to the sanctioned execution, not a Creator who shouldn't harbor ideas about culling any mortals even if it's over something like a broken cycle. He's more miscasted than the Universe 9 deities, and that's saying something.
I think Rumoosh is the most at blame, possibly aside from Zamasu himself and that's WITH Zamasu, again, making his own choices even if he IS being a Complete Monster that way. I would be saying that with just the context of Rumoosh's team member selection for the Tournament of Power, and it's because that shows how Rumoosh values the body so much and not the mind. His answer to Goku the known and proven combat specialist is to throw brute force at the problem. Uh, okay, Rumoosh, it's not like area of effect attacking is an existing concept. When U10 had TWO fliers and they both dropped quickly and through absolutely humiliating circumstances, suffice to say that Rumoosh didn't teach them to keep their brains on.
We could only guess what "Mortal Level" coming from his omnipotence was really referring to, although the Secret Test Of Character business for the Tournament of Power does in fact suggest it would be involving civilization quality, as in the ability to have something like Capsule Corp quality be standardized or look like a joke, but bear with me, I'm wishing to make my point about why U10 would fail the standard on ANY definition of it. What I'm pointing out is that Rumoosh undoubtedly had intelligence take a back seat in criteria for which planets to spare. His doing so is faulty by design. We can note that Goku even as a kid has had his moments of brightness, one notable instance being how he beats Terror and Plague. We are seeing that Rumoosh is less intelligent than a young Goku, and his having his Destroyer power only gives way to his complacency.
I believe there's implication that Rumoosh straight up kills anybody who challenges his rule, but this is self-destructive, when nobody would dare test the notion of trying to beat him in a fair fight because of the penalty for losing being erasure, and it leads to anybody wanting to show they could do the job better needing to resort to shortcuts and bypasses. That kind of sounds familiar with Zamasu using the SDBs and targeting Creators rather than Destroyers for keeping any Destroyers from doing anything to him. But as has been said by a wise old man in another piece of media, sometimes shortcuts lead to dead ends, and it's worth noting how said piece of media was involving this by having a kid character basically wish for being the smartest person in the locale, which was granted by everybody else in the locale being made dumber, to damaging effect until that was fixed. I think we can see how butchering standards doesn't work, and we are seeing a similar concept with Rumoosh: he's the Destroyer in U10 by having nobody capable of challenging him and anybody who tries innately risking their mere existence, an innate gamble with everything involved. What he says goes and U10 ends up in a paradox from that: meathead bloat in a glorified genital measuring contest that he rigs. We can see how U10's team was so full of idiots, sadists, and rejects, with a good number of their members, including the leader Murichim, falling out without fanfare.
And this is just with combat stuff and such. Civilizations are built to allow for improving on given aspects for improving health and happiness, and even allowing for training without any of the more critical problems. Capsule Corp itself shows at minimum a good idea of how this works out by being designed around advanced carry capsules for plenty of conveniences, while still sparing some of its resources building things like gravity rooms and power containing force fields. I'd like to know where that is on Planet Babari, a place that Zamasu describes as "no outlier." I can point out that even workhorse jobs like food farming and structure construction, as more actively involved in physical labor than a job involving the likes of computers and technology in general as they are, involve accounting for hiccups (certainly with food farming where I know pesticides find use) and stabilizing the design. I was barely seeing the campfire creation from the Babarians, and I find myself wondering why Gowasu was so excited with only that in a 1000 year time jump. The only credit I'll give to the Babarians is that at least they're genuinely dumb enough to not know right from wrong and thus wouldn't involve somebody like Magnus "Mangs" Hestveen (look up "Mangs and July 2020" if you're curious on that mess, and that video doesn't even mention about Mangs abusing a custom weapon feature to name an axe "r4pe"), and considering I blatantly main Skyscraper Club in Kid Icarus Uprising and yet I'm more interested in bodyguarding, guidance provision, and earned admiration, I can say that points like these are why the only thing I'm calling Zamasu out on is what he's doing with his annoyance, not his correct assessment that the Babarians suck. Why is Rumoosh favoring the likes of the Babarians blatantly? That's just asking for colored perceptions.
I will at least say that Obuni is proof of how shortsighted Zamasu's goals are. Not an idiot? Obuni uses a technique that confounds his opponent enough to guarantee hit-evade advantage bloat, simultaneously implying him to be a Cavalry type who could snipe the inevitably Artillery types who would be the biggest threat to Heavy Infantry that U10 would fit as. Check Not a sadist? He was fighting for the survival of his family, so check. Not a reject? He pressured Gohan enough to where Gohan had to prove himself smart enough in his own right by tanking the aforementioned technique for cross-counters and capitalizing upon Obuni's eventual lethargy from exhaustion and damage to trap and checkmate him, so check. We can say that Obuni is a diamond in the rough, true, though he's proving that even in Universe 10, not all mortals were going to have excessive problems. Clean your soil, U10, so that somebody like pre-Start Of Darkness Zamasu can notice more of the likes of Obuni far more easily before they commit to unwelcome ideas. Not that Zamasu is blameless at the point where he's overly serious and too close-minded while being able to Universe-hop already and could be doing that to go to, say, Universe 3. His ideas are built off of shockingly similar concepts to what I outlined Rumoosh to want as well, so we can call Zamasu a willing product of his Universe come his earlier attempt at empathy and understanding getting itself twisted so horribly into an unrecognizable mess. But good All King, can we get so much explanation off of Rumoosh's own issues.
So yeah, lot of blame to go around.

The problem with Zamasu that does make him evil was his willingness to bring pain and suffering during his plan. Particularly shown during his time on Earth in future trunk's timeline. Like Thanos, Zamasu was heavily misunderstood. While to others who saw him as a villain, he was a hero in his own story. Zamasu is a complex character and that's what i like about him. On the surface, he seems like generic villain 47 but when taking a step back and looking deeper, there is where his character lies.
Also it is funny when i see ppl talking about how villainous he is for killing mortals but never noticed he only destroyed cities yet his cabin is surrounded by a beautiful, untouched woodland area.

I wish that they had saved Zamasu till the end of super. I think that he makes for a perfect final villain and his motives are super cool too. I also liked that the Z fighters could just overpower him like they usually do with other villains so a lot more creativity could have been incorporated if given a little more time and care. He holds a lot more personal beef with the main characters than most new villains in Super or even some in Z. He killed Goku's family in his own body and killed almost all humans in trunk's future timeline for example. Vegita didn't really have any real beef with him but they could have done more with the Saiyan Pride, leaned more into vegita mocking Zamasu or lecturing him on what it means to be a saiyan or even a mortal and make him question his motives and push him even further depending on how it's done. Could be an interesting way of fighting Zamasu instead of just simply overpowering him than calling in zeno at the end. I know a lot of the stuff I said did happen but i feel like the creators were just playing around with ideas and concepts and not actually using any of them.
I feel like Zamasu was a really good chance to have a villain be connected with all the Z-fighters on a personal level and really push against each others ideologies to come out on top instead of just using brute force.

Really it's the end of the arc that kills it. It's masterfully done until the last moment when Whis sends Trunks to a new timeline. Personally, I would've kept the ending that the timeline was destroyed to serve as a bitter reminder of what can happen when a god, by force, misuses their power and rises above their station. Also, this would've kept Future Trunks on as a character going forward which would've been awesome.

Even though this video is amazingly well thought out even after watching in full. Justice much like Good is obsolete and objective not subjective, to kill a child is wrong but to bake a pie for a widow is good. Justice in Zamasu’s twisted narcissistic mind and misinterpretation of Gowasu’s teachings is the very form of Zamasu carrying wrongful action for his own feelings and not the greater good, his view of Goku traveling with the Gods is also skewed from his former idea rather than appreciating that a mortal could become a God and maybe realize his mistaken thoughts. Zamasu instead grows in anger maybe in envy that he must be a Kai where Goku could potentially be asked to be a Destroyer (which has happened) Zamasu is although wrong in his own ideology a hypocrite and a very misinformed and misinterpreted idealist disagreeing with his master who has no jurisdiction over destroying the planet. As a Kai he is wrong and as a God in his own way he was also wrong.

Kinda funny how if Gowasu told Zamasu that "We are here to nourish the mortals, if they become too distorted or abuse the gifts that are bestowed upon them, our gardener is the God of Destruction and he will surely pluck out the weeds. Our role is to try our best to make mortals understand and apreciate their gifts. Many will not understand due to their small lifespans but few will truly make the difference you so rightfully seek Zamasu. Being a God does not make you stand above mortals, it makes you teacher."
But let's be real, bringing Goku along just to fight Zamasu was the worst thing they could have done especially when they suspected that Goku black might have God ki. Just had Beerus and Whis ask a few questions and for the sake of identifying possible culprits had both gowasu and zamasu raise their ki aura. It should have been even more obvious since it was time travel which means that things form the past may very well be the catalyst for future events which it was.

@@LaZonaDiRin3743 There are wars happening all around with Ukraine being one of them, inflation is high because of it, prices of gas is unbelievable high, the climate is getting higher, and slavery is more higher in third world countries most of whom are being owned by big companies from the west, and may I mention that this effects other countries as well.

And soviet Russia ain't in power anymore doesn't mean the world is at peace the world still has a looooong way to go before actual peace can even begin to form what we have now is basically a calm between storms and I guarantee you the next storm will be much more destructive than the last

@@SaiyanDemon "There are wars happening all around the world"
There are 59 conflicts in the world.
      "Inflation is high"
      Inflation going down
      "Prices of gas is high"
      Gas price is recovering
      "The climate is getting higher"
Renewables are also increasing and people are more awarded.
      "Slavery is more higher"
Slavery is illegal and there are organizations who fight themes.
You let yourself be manipulated by the sensationalism of the media, they magnify things, I advise you to disconnect from TV and social networks and you will understand that the world is much better than you think.

@@Doyoueverwonderwhywerehere wrong, we live in the most peaceful and least violent period in history, which is not a calm before the storm, but a process in which humanity has gained self-awareness and seeks to improve itself through discoveries, inventions, cultural and spiritual progress and space travel , within 10 years we will start to become an interplanetary species.

The mortal cycle does not work in the universe of dbz. There are several civilizations that appear to have lived and thrived and have yet to meet their end through conflict.
Zamasu should have been made to watch several civilizations die in the cycle, not just the random one we saw. He should have seen dozens of freeza level conquests ruin even promising universes. He should have been able to say "not a single civilization has lasted even a thousand years. Even the species that survive destruction never learn the lesson." By making this cleansing cathartic for him, he kind of becomes the stereotype that everyone treats him as.

I Think Zamasu Has A Point. Remember All The Evil Characters In Dragon Ball Series King Cold, Emperor Frieza, The Majin Buu Race, Lord Beerus, Cell, Androids, Dabura, King Piccolo, The Barbari Race, Cooler, Broly And Etc. 🤔

I sometimes wonder why the kais are suprised and all that. I mean all the gods of destruction where mortals at some point and its very much implied that not all of them are first generation gods of destruction and some have retired and been replaced before. So i just dont understand why they are suprised that there are mortals with the power of a god if literally half the gods are former mortals

Gowasu should've just let Ramūshi teach Zamasu for a week or two, I feel like that would've answered his questions far better and make him a better Kai
