This definitely was very surprising news overall. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of dragon ball z video games because they all followed the anime beat for beat but alternative takes on the story are always a fresh change of pace. FighterZ is my favourite outside of the budokai tenkaichi series. I loved all the extra DLC characters they released over time.

17 years and couldnt even put a real split screen mode or give the chsracters auras. There barely hsve any super characters the only series they focused on.This not a tenkaichi and is an absolute disgrace to its legacy.
Lets wait to see. But realistically I agree hopes are low this is gonna be the tenkaichi 1 for them, I see it based on tenkaichi being a successor but not tenkaichi itself. Its experimental and its a new age I need demolition I need dynamic moves

@SinnaSama and it works for the character slots it says 1 pre order bonus character Gokkan doesn't need to turn ssj because of ultimate gohan

Funny thing is that even if you subtract transformations as characters this series still has most overall.
Rb is a spiritual successor. Plays pretty similar

It actualy was the actual next gen successor as burst limit was successor to budokai but tht gen of dbz games failed in sales

Tbh it taking 17 years was kinda for the best. Gave the series time to expand more via Super
