Sexual withholding is one of the MAJOR factors in cheating. Forcing celibacy on someone in a relationship is NOT an act of love. You can only starve someone for so long...
I agree. I’m against cheating but if someone if being deprived of sex/love then I can’t blame them. Some people cheat because they are being abused or neglected. A sexless relationship makes you feel unloved and alone.
Melkerner: I couldn’t agree more except for one thing; I was the one who was starved and celibacy was forced upon me by my husband who claimed that he was impotent but, I didn’t cheat! He withheld sex and emotional intimacy for 20+ years and THEN, just before our 29th wedding anniversary, he cheated! This cruel game is about narcissistic control. You’re right, it “is NOT an act of love”!
@terrywade3696 I haven't cheated either. It is a temptation, but I have to be better. We still have a child in the home (adopted), no need to inflict that kind of damage on anyone. I have made it all these years, it will be resolved one way or the other
Sam Vaknin said from books, of experts, the only way to deal with a narcissist , is to become a narcissist yourself……therefore narcissism is contagious, narcissism is a defense mechanism toward other narcissit…..but as you break up and move on, you may get back your true self personality.
It’s not a double standard! How many loyal faithful men have raised another man’s children that he thought was his? The numbers are staggering and continue to be.
Love this! Thank you for a laugh on the topic.

well i disagree about men having a license to cheat with little to no consequences . when men cheat there are consequences .
