- Well, took a while, but we finally cracked zero encounter Salvation's Edge.
This one took everything we had, and a bit more. We needed new tech to make it all the way. Luckily, with a new major expansion, new tech isn't too hard to come by. Adelaide made some discoveries with Storm's Edge that got us out of a tight spot ;) Unfortunately that means the full route is Hunter only, although other classes can join in at any zone.
On the practical side, this means you can get both encounter chests solo on Hunter, or on any class if you've got a buddy to help you swap characters. The raid lore collectibles should also be there, but I don't know where all of them are off hand to confirm.
It should be possible without Navigator too, although it'll definitely be unpleasant. Particularly the parts with elevators... But with a buddy it shouldn't be too bad.

Hunter finally became the movement class again. It only took a new super, a new aspect, and an entirely new subclass
this can be done with titan as well. no navigator need. you do need a mountain top. At least until 1st secret chest

23:05 When I looked at the pool of light, I realized that the 3rd room in the Repository is where the Witness was forming the Final Shape in the beginning of the campaign. I guess being under pressure of a wipe timer distracts you from noticing these details.

The witnesses backside is full of surprises I see. 2.5 weeks to figure this out is some dedication
Hey Froggy! Just stopping by to say thank you for this, haven't been able to actually do the raid yet but still really wanted to explore and see these spaces for myself, and thanks to this i managed to get from start to finish all solo. The bonus shader also was a really nice bonus c: Thank you!

God damnit froggy you're the goat. Me and my buddy had some fun exploring the raid and managed to get to third encounter but couldn't figure out how to get past the stupid door. That method your friend found is awesome.

a tip for the super breach. if you do the rez breach first so you can actually *see* thru the floor, you can pop soup and get it first try.

They made a great utility weapon for out of bounds stuff and named it out of bounds XD
Lightweight, fast firing, and ricochet rounds. Plus it doesn't interfere with Navigator. It does with Fighting Lion, but they fulfill a similar role so that's fine.

Glad to see that your Verity out of map is from above. The hole I found was towards the light and going underneath, it was a bit annoying, but leads to the exact same spot.

if anybody has trouble getting off the slidey floor in the verity elevator (like I did), I found that using ascension after jumping and firing your first knot gives you enough airtime to grapple up to it and then continue up like normal

Hot tip for the elevator on hunter, you can Eager edge out and storms edge back in, it's time consuming bit if done fast enough you can go up 3 in 1 super
Love the content bro. But have u found another way to breach to 3rd enc? Struggling to "blink" through the floor on xsx (cant lock to 30 fps)
I heard someone may've managed a rez breach in that spot, but I've seen no confirmation. But I have heard people managed to get it on 60fps. It's just harder.
hey just wanted to ask do you know if there are any wall breaches in the area of first encounter?
I've been trying to rez breach for hours but I'm not very good and I just get my legs stuck in the floor or pushed out of the ceiling
I've heard of some out of map related stuff for first encounter. Maybe TheSnazzzyRock has something? I've been out of map in first via a spot under the elevator afterwards. It's kinda turnbacky there...
Me and another fireteam member were so proud of finding the skip into area between 2nd and 3rd encounter on day 1 only to find out pretty much everyone else did too 😅
Is it possible to grab the red border chest with this? Id like to explore but if I can grab it as well it just sweetens the fun

Tip for doing the blink breach on 60 fps/console
Set a spawn point in the area you need to crouch then die, then use a grapple or smth to move forward a bit until you can see through the ceiling
Did they patch the ammo gen glitch or did I just encounter a weird bug where I'm not getting any ammo for whatever reason?
What ammo are you starting from?
Super fun to help with this!! Blink Breaching is strong, and does a lot of crazy stuff :3
also a quick note! duskfields create medium crystals with Renewal Grasps on Prismatic, so you don't need salvation's for the breach if you have a good throwing arm :3

So if i have a cp on the fourth encounter can i just do the rest to get the second chest?, because i hate the 4th encounter.
On 4th encounter there's a barrier on top of the room. Haven't checked if it's real, but it probably is. You can still go back to get the first chest and set up the red border chest though.

how does the ammo gen work i cant get it to work
Set max ammo to low when alive, and then high when dead. You'll gain a percentage of the starting ammo. If you're too low to begin with, it'll wound down and you'll gain nothing.
Apotheosis veil is also viable for getting up really high if you don't have Navigator, you just have to wait for your super to passively charge.

yo is the part at 2:50 edited or did you actually go from 27->70 ammo off one respawn? if not, do you just need enduring blade on the sword for this to work?

Just edited out deaths to save time. On that particular sword, you can go from 55 to 70. I think it's the best one in terms of ammo regen. Perks too since you can get enhanced eager edge.
For some reason whenever I do the exact same thing you do to regenerate heavy ammo, it never seems to work. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong
Most likely you don't have enough ammo. There's a lower bound where it will end up rounding down.
My buddy and I discovered the elevator skip from Herald allll the way to 3rd encounter on Day 1! The rest of the team had given up and we had a lot of fun figuring out the path. Sadly we got stuck after the tree root lift lol

Glad you got it working. OOBing can be a pretty exciting challenge. You never quite know if what you want to do is even going to be possible. Luckily the game gives us enough tools that it generally is though :) Except for Crota's Oversoul :'( Maybe some day...
Are you able to get the secret chest by backtracking from witness cp? I tried but it didn't spawn and I was wondering if it just bugged or if there is a way or not
Only the first. I don't think it spawns from a checkpoint. Generally zones not involved with the active step are in a sort of default state, so any checkpoint that doesn't start in the last zone should have the bonus chest present, although idk how to reach it from a Verity checkpoint.

Not in any reasonable way. And with at least two supers.

Would love to, but the inverted turnback situation means no box breaks in the raid, unless we identify regions of no turnback out of box that coincide with solid ground.

Did this whole thing for my last smg hoping id get one from the chests, instead i got enough snipers to craft it if i use harmonizers. So there's that lol, never doing this again but good guide regardless.

Not in D2. They used to do that in the Halo days. Nowadays the best we get are dev objects, or other relics of development. The moon button is pretty strange. Other than that, sometimes stuff that's presumably from cut content, or as of yet unused content.
Halo had some pretty memorable ones, like the Scarab gun up on the really tall bridge, or the giant soccer ball. And of course the skulls that activated various game mechanics changing things.

Both bonus chests. You could also enter the red border code before the raid even starts, then go back to start. Sadly it doesn't work like GoS, where you can do a no darkness boss and get loot from it .
Is there any way to break into the the 2nd room of the 3rd encounter?
Yeah, I don't know it off hand though. I think TheSnazzzyRock has a video showing it in a solo run maybe.

Gotta say, not loving this storms edge clip... it refuses to be nice and let me break through the floor. Though i will persevere, on top of all that though, nice work to you all for figuring this out! Its hella impressive and i have no idea how you all manage to stay sane doing this. 😅
A loooot of patience XD It helps that so many people worked on different parts, so we could try a bunch of stuff at once. With 3 people you get 3 attempts at a storms edge per like 2 minutes.
For what it's worth, we've seen people get it on 30fps and 60fps. I didn't have luck uncapped.
I'm on console I tried a bunch an couldn't get it. ended up messing around an died, was standing an red barred when rezed half way through floor. That let me storms edge through.
I accidentally sparrow glitched out of the map in the transgression. I managed to get into the aerial ace cyst through a hole in the wall. But none of the doors were open to get out. Not sure if that hole is always there but it was pretty cool out of the map.
mountaintop also works for the elevator part after 2nd encounter
If you do this on Masters can we get adept drops?
I think the bonus chests are shared between normal and master, but I've not checked.
I am curious does this give you the final encounter cp or no?
No, all checkpoint updates require triggers to load the next one, and this skips those triggers.

You can't get the second chest from boss checkpoint, but you can from start, or really checkpoint before that. Although good luck figuring out a way from a Verity checkpoint...

Stuck on the first step. Every time I try, I just spawn in the middle of all of the crystals. Any pointers?
Don't rotate, and be careful about bumps in the ground. You may be able to sneak in an extra shot or two if you need to. The 3-2 pyramid pattern covers a lot of ground, but if the shots aren't at the same angle they won't mesh right. I sometimes have problems with that spot, likely due to the little lip on the ground.

By the way I don’t have navigator. But you were right, I was able to get up the last elevator using salvation’s grip to stasis climb. Very tricky and you have to go fast but doable!
When u switch your nav the timer disappears, how do I do that 😭
The timer only disappears when it's up, you die, or I fast-forward. However, if you don't have the timer yet since you're in air, you can clear the timer by swapping weapons.

Hey Froggy, what are some other ways you can climb the Verity-to-Witness elevator?
With the power of an Aggressive frame Ergo Sum, you'd be able to grab an easy secret chest in little time with a Witness Checkpoint.
Trying to figure a way to do it for each character without dlc ownership other than TFS, which means no salvations grip and no Navigator.
Hunters can rocket grapple, Titans can probably use a glacier nade and a MT sticky nade jump, but i cant figure out something for Warlock if they can't do the same thing as Titans.
Warlocks would probably do something with heat rises and mountain top shots, along with maybe burst glide? Or whichever helps hold momentum best. Any class can rocket grapple. Hunters can just do a bit more. You can be on ground enough for grapple to start charging up there. Without stasis or strand height gain options are a bit limited...
@@Froggy618157725 Only Prismatic Hunters have grapple without owning Lightfall, sadly.
Stasis IS free, though. Just not any Beyond Light Exotics.
Dunno how you'll get a hunter in that rez breach spot without crouch jumping. Does anything give you two stasis nades? Or I guess if you can recharge fast enough.
@@Froggy618157725 Oh no I don't intend to start fresh. Rez breach is a bit niche for most people. Witness checkpoints are readily available from a website. The plan is to just backtrack down the elevator from there, then ascend up the elevator using some launch method so you properly load the chest.

My goal here is to use a Witness Checkpoint (readily available on websites) to get the secret chests, rather than starting Fresh.
That means for the second chest, you need to descend down the elevator to load Verity and then immediately reascend up it to load that chest.
I don't know if you'd easily be able to get from Verity's start to before encounter 3's first room, though?
All this without access to Strand Subclass, navigator, salvation's grip, etc. Stasis IS a free subclass.
This is awesome, i can't seem to get the ammo gen to work tho
For swords you need to use ammo perks/gun mod. For others you can use chest reserve mods. You want your cap low when alive, and then raised while dead.
@@Froggy618157725 thanks for the reply! yeah that's what I was doing but nothing would generate, swords or otherwise, but I went back in today and it worked fine, not sure what was wrong the first time

You generate a percent of your ammo, so there is a minimum amount you need to gain any.

hey im not sure if you will see this but love your vids and was wondring if you have found a way back to the starting mission of final shape from Patrol as at the beach thers a wall that stopes you geting in the cave i have found a hole in the wall near by but i can not get any closer to geting past it and by the looks of the cave it looks like you shoud be able to get back there but have not been able to find a way
I haven't, but you can with syncbox. We haven't determined if there's a load to the initial part out of box, but there is a very suspicious tunnel.
@@Froggy618157725 i cant believe i got a reply was not expecting that fingers crossed you find a way as would be well cool to look round propley its one of the only places i have not been able to brake out of map found so meny hole in all spot and able to make it all the way to where you fight the witness in the story and have made it with the help of my friend to the room you have to walk though with the sheild at the end of the quest but thats about it semes like thay did there best to make sure you carnt get far in the starting place tho
We've now got solo routes for both the latter part of Threshold (intro area), and the story boss encounter room. Unclear if the first half of Threshold exists, or if we can get a nice route to the statue room of the boss encounter. Rythm got there with a syncbox, infinite flying, and witherhoard breach, but I'm hoping we can get an IRB route that cuts out the infinite flying.
@@Froggy618157725 I look forward to seeing a video if you put one up of getting to the starting Area as I have had no luck getting past the Barrier🤦♂️ and I have made it to the door before the story wittiness fight and with the help of a friend finding a hole I missed are able to get to the room after the witness fight where you have to run with the shield not been able to make it in to the boss room yet tho

if anyone is trying to get up the last elevator with stasis be careful there is deathbarrier in the wall semi high up if you die you spawn back down
Forgot to mention that, sorry. I ran into them looking for holes to use to get into the elevator from out of map.

Nobody found the raid before it was released?
No, raid isn't in patrol space. You launch directly into a raid location. It's not like DSC, or Vow, where you start in patrol. Vow has the added fun of disabled loads.
Some raids have a wish wall, some have a 30 minute pathway, either way you’re spending 30 minutes to get to the boss
29:16 yer there are funnels, but there are turn backs on them. you can get to Verity by walking on the roof.

Interesting. A shame about the turnbacks though. Wonder if someone could skate through one successfully. I may have to take a look at some point, but probably won't get too far without skating.

Three of the lore pieces are awarded on clears, I think. You should be able to get all the pick up ones this way though.

I think the out of map glitch at 24min. got patched. There is now a death zone after the hole
You need to be crouched, and possibly towards the right or you'll hit a death barrier. Highly unlikely that part would be changed, and I know it's coated in death barriers as is. I die quite a lot at that point while trying normally. Jumping after going down the stump will kill you after a few feet.

You get back a percentage of the ammo you currently have, so if you start with 0, you stay at 0.
@@Froggy618157725 would 5 ammo give me nothing? I had 5 an wasnt getting any. I ended up putting ergo on with a fusion getting free special an building that up.
Depends on the weapon. There is a minimum amount for regenning. On my particular sword, that value is 3 or 4 I think. But you only gain one at a time for a while then, so I try to never get close to that.

I've been goin' there too. You can get to the escape sequence a couple of ways. Rythm got to the boss fight area solo with a bit of Hunter barrier push.
Froggy I was able to replicate your path form 2nd encounter cp to 3rd and snag the 1st secret chest. On titan
That's how I normally do that one. You need hunter to go further cause of all that blinking.
@Froggy618157725 I also use a ergo sum sword with a normal swing with or without ammo to move in the lift.

Got to the 4th encounter but without navigator it’s kinda impossible as stasis crystals have terrible placement and break when you use your ult

@@Froggy618157725 verity super breach was patched, there's a ceiling blocking the breach now
You can't do it from Verity checkpoint. It needs to be sequence broken. The rooms default version does not have that ceiling.

The reason you're dying when hitting new loadzones is that you're entering the loadzone too slow, try jumping higher when falling into one or try swording into one when walking into it
It often kills you when you enter from the back of the loadzone. In this case, that's either neutral or beneficial, so no need to avoid it.
@@Froggy618157725 there is a weird bug that I've experienced, when you die to a load during an active encounter (early 2-3 skip) it can sometimes (not always) cause you to be "finding spawn location" permanently, so for 1st loadzone I would avoid dying to it, if doing a skip to be faster 😄
