Holcim Award Winner Juan Carlos Cano Explores the Intersection of Infrastructure and Community

ArchDaily spoke to Juan Carlos Cano, of CANO VERA arquitectura, an architectural practice in Mexico City, winner of the Golden Prize at the Holcim Awards 2023, for the Latin American Region, about his project Utopia Estrella Iztapalapa. Centered around water as one of the most important resources, Utopia Estrella combines a socially engaging architectural program with a pedagogical approach to the role of water infrastructures in the larger ecosystem.
